It has been another month (6 months in total) and a very basic request to close my Italian mortgage account appears to be an impossible feat for the people at Che Banca despite transferring money to my current account and sending recorded delivery instructions, about 100 emails and many phone calls. They appear to be oblivious to the history of case and everything appears to revert back to step one.
