I have tried so many different items on their menu. I'm not usually a picky eater, I can almost always find something I like everywhere I go to eat, but not here. Even their chicken tenders and salads suck. That's hard to mess up. What makes it worse is that the service is usually terrible. I've never had a very pleasant experience at Cheddar's. I only go there when I'm with a group who insists upon eating this mediocre excuse for a meal. You can't cook or season a steak properly. You over steam your vegetables turning them to rubber or mush. Your mashed potatoes are bland. The fries are the only thing I can tolerate. Tolerate is the operative word here and I'm using it loosely. If you like paying too much money for crappy food, this is the place for you. read more

Picking up take out is annoying; they just let their phone ring and then having to stand at the bar for them to bring it out. Every time I've eaten there there are always a few employees just hang around outside the entrance on their breaks with their uniform half off as well. My sister and I were visiting my mom while she was working at Tinker AFB. We chose Cheddars because my sister had never been. We went on a week night and were seated and had a server right away. Not long after we ordered our drinks, my 6 year old nephew managed to spill his chocolate milk. The server and manager rushed over to help clean up with napkins. After that mishap, we ordered our food and chatted with our waiter for awhile. Very kind gentleman. We had visited the Cheddar's in Newport News, VA and we talked about that for awhile with the waiter. Did not take long for all of our food to arrive and I was so happy I tried something new. VERY good...Everyone was so happy with their food, I wish we lived in OK! Lol....After our meal, we were approached by the manager, who offered my sister some cookies on the house because it was her first time. Every time we go here we say never again. They do have some good food, but the service is consistently the worst I have ever experienced - from the hostess, servers, bartenders, you name it. Just about every employee I have ever encountered is either rude or inept, or they just downright ignore you. There is no concept of work ethic or customer service here. At one time I thought it was just because they were a new restaurant, so kept giving them additional chances, but they have been here for many years now and it just seems to get worse! (and I hear similar stories from friends and colleagues) We have been to the Cheddars in Norman many times and never had a bad experience so it's the staff, not the restaurant, that has issues. They seriously need some training on how to properly interact with customers! There are now so many good restaurants to choose from in Midwest City with equally good or better food and drink, and they know how to treat customers - this one is permanently off my list. They don't act like they are happy you are even there to begin with, much less entice you to return! read more

Love for chicken tenders but according to my niece..."Do not eat the chicken Alfredo. It looks and tastes like paste." Personally I really like cheddars I have been to the location in Norman and was always very satisfied with my meal. I was seated promptly and had pretty good service however I did notice a lot of the waitstaff had piercings and tattoos and stuff and that's just not what I like to see when someone's waiting my table, thankfully one of them wasn't my servers the food was pretty good but I feel like it coulda been better as the other one always seemed to taste spot on. So we decided to go to cheddars tonight for my mother's birthday. I got there first to reserve a table, I told the host eight and her first question is if we'll split into two booths...as there isn't a wait and it's only 5, the restaurant is completely empty. I told her no, only for her to get snarky and ask if a table is fine. I get sat, and we wait 15 minutes for the server to even make her way over to us. She has one other table around us and that's it. Doesn't give us her name, just a short, what do you want to drink. Ok. So we order drinks and ask for a minute to look at the menu, just for her to drop off drinks and disappear again for another 15 minutes. Finally she comes back, we order, we think everything's good. It's almost 20 minutes for one painkiller, I went to the bathroom and saw it sitting at the bar melting, and when I went back to the table it still wasn't brought to us. Thirty minutes now go by, and we finally get our salads. My mom asks her for her bar drink and asks for her to please make sure it wasn't watered down or anything since it's been awhile, she comes back immediately with the painkiller and goes "you see, it's not watered down at all." She disappears again for 20 minutes until our food arrives and we don't see her until we've been sitting with our plates in front of us empty looking around for her. Worst service I've had there, from the hosts to the rude server. I won't be returning after she treated my mother like that on her birthday. The receipt said her name was kerian so idk. Waited an hour and 15 min bc a large party was just hanging out at their table after eating. Hostesses refused to do anything and could have cared less when we left. They took 0 responsibility for the situation. Update: Cheddar's, thank you for calling to apologize, gain an understanding of what happened, share what your processes are and commit to acting on my feedback to avoid the situation as best as possible moving forward. I believe your circling back with employees on how to handle similar challenges moving forward will be very beneficial for all. The waitress, Kim, was such an angel. The food was amazing, 10/10. The baked potato soup is definitely a favorite of mine.

I came in earlier this week with a friend of mine to have a bite to eat. The food was great, as it always is, and the prices are very reasonable (try the vegetable plate). The best part of our meal was by far our server. I want to say her name was Madison, but she could just look like someone I know named Madison. But I do remember that she has a clarinet tattoo and a fantastic presence. As a former sever, it takes a lot to truly impress me, but she had it all. We had our drinks out quickly, and she kept them filled. Prebussed like a champ so we had room to eat. She was casual but attentive, polite, and really fun overall. Never once did I feel that her positive energy was anything but genuine. She's a rockstar, and I will 100% be requesting her every time I eat at Cheddar's. read more

I was craving a Monte Cristo sandwich, arrived at the restaurant at 4:55 and was seated immediately. After 20 minutes we were fixing to leave because no one had even asked us for our drink order. Finally one of the waitstaff stopped and apologized profusely and took our drink and dinner order. He was very friendly, Jacob was his name. He did mention that he had already cashed out and brought back another waitress to finish our order. The quality of the food was not what I remember the last time I dined here. Our food was pretty good. Real food on the kids menu! The grown up drinks are a treat. Not bad at all to feed the whole family with drinks and an app for forty bucks. One thing though, why is the tile so greasy? Walking to the restroom is like ice skating, and I was just wearing sneakers. My kid was delighted at how his feet slipped around, I was quietly terrified he was going to slip and fall or crash into a server carrying food (um, they don't watch where they are going, at all. I have ate here a few times now. They have great food, great servers, friendly hostess. The place isnt bad at all. I took my cousin here since she never heard of it in California. Terrible service. Our waitress, Kydall could care less about customer satisfaction or doing her job. She ignored us more than once. The manager didn't care how the food was being served (although after a short display of our disgust and dislike, he took one dish off the ticket). Waitress never came back to refill my drink as well. The salmon portions served were lunch and we ordered full dinner. My side came out like soup (broccoli cheese casserole) and a baked sweet potato (way under sized). I had to search for the waitress at the end, just to get my ticket. Then she never came back for the payment. Again I had to search the place for her, and ended up paying another waitress. The food normally tastes good here, when it's actually cooked correctly and the serving sizes are correct for what you order. My wife and I were both very disappointed with this visit. Only reason this has 2 stars, is the food we did eat was pretty good. After sending back and getting more than once. Maybe this was their off day, but that will never excuse the terrible and disgusting service we received. Probably one of my favorite places in town. My fiancé and i come here often and always sit with Terrance (he's the best they have there) he was sadly not working the afternoon we came to eat. ----We were seated promptly but had the worst service i think I've ever had the whole time we have been living in MWC (over a year 1/2). Our waiter (i believe his name was Austin) walked past our table a total of 4 times before asking how everything came out. I asked for honey mustard and it took him over 13 minutes to get it to my table, having me ask 3 times for it. My drink then sat completely empty for 10 minutes. My fiancé's chicken wrap was completely cold, it took us asking for it to receive it back to the table, it was cold again when it came back out. The manager explained it had been a rough morning and took 50% off. I'm a manager and if i ever had a customer express to me they didn't want to return they most definitely would've had their whole meal taken care of. I hate leaving bad reviews but this visit has made me never want to return. If i could give this review no stars i would definitely do so. read more

Waited 20 minutes to get a table which was okay. Waitress took our order and served our drinks. Waited and waited for our food. Our glasses were empty and nobody bothered to ask if we wanted refills. Waitress never showed up to refill our drinks or tell us what was happening to our order. 25 minutes later, we asked for the manager. We had to ask 3x before he got there. Awesome choice for a cheap date that is sure to not disappoint! Cheddars is our go-to for cheap drinks! My frozen margarita was under $5 and mighty delicious. Every time I order food at Cheddars I'm always impressed by the huge serving. The chicken (strip?) dinner has about 8-10 tenders and under $10 accompanied by your choice of two delicious sides. We chose to pick up our food rather than eating inside the restaurant. First I called to order and was placed on hold for several minutes. When a person finally answered she was rude and actually audibly sighed at me for calling instead of ordering online, so I told her I would go ahead and order online. Ordering from the website was a bit tedious and time-consuming, but it got the job done. The service and quality of the food was terrible. My daughter's hamburger was dry, overcooked and tasteless. I was given french fries instead of the broccoli casserole I had ordered, and the fries were very stale and cold. I immediately called the restaurant, from the parking lot, to let them know I didn't get the correct side I and was put on hold again. Being very hungry we started to eat our food in the car while we waited on hold, and ended up finishing our meals without ever having the phone answered. At that point I walked into the restaurant and explained the situation. I was understandably annoyed, but I realized this was not the fault of the hostess, so I didn't give her too much grief. Even so, she was very unfriendly as she went to get my side. A more friendly girl took over at the front, and I asked her if they were super busy, wondering if that was the reason for the poor service. She said no, it wasn't too bad (and indeed it did not look busy). We will not be returning to this location. read more

While eating dinner our server was very sweet and prompt. The food was fresh, delicious and came to our table in a very timely manner. However, being forced to listen to the bartender speak about her trip to Las Vegas and getting drunk with her underage friend was a little off putting. Ok, this place is the bees knees. Seriously, I've never had anything here that I didn't like. The prices are awesome, the sides and yummy, and the bar drinks are tasty, yet affordable. I love the charm of Cheddars without having to break my back over the tab. The servers seem a little rough around be edges but nothing off beat. My GO TO recommendations are the Bourbon Glazed Salmon and the Asian Salad. Great AND SAFE choices! I love that the staff has a fancier appearance. I would recommend going from 2-5 or 8-11pm! Never going back! Food is delicious but service is cr@p! Waited 40 minutes for the onion rings appetizer (warm), My drink sat on the bar for about ten minutes before the waitress 'remembered' that I ordered a drink. The wife ordered sparkling wine which arrived about 10 minutes after my drink and her glass was REALLY dirty, like, someone just finished using it dirty, the waitress brought another glass but it too was dirty, ok, by this time I'm p!ssed, but guess what? I wasn't the only one. the couple next table down was giving the manager, which had no idea what was going on; the waitress was relieved of her duties and another one, no much better took the tables, I mean, added the tables to her own, so she had about 8 tables total, crappy service. The manager offered free drinks, which we reminded the new waitress twice and never got. three hours after we initially sat down, we still have not received the bill, which I've asked for twice and even called for the manager for a second time and he never showed up. And guess what... we get the bill, the manager didn't take off the drinks as he offered, we didn't get the extra drinks, no discounts, no nothing. Went to eat here again, asked for angela and was told there was a hour wait for her section although we saw several empty booths. We ended up being sat in a far corner with another server. We had robert. Nice enough fellow, but sucks as a server. He wouldn't shut up. We had to eat with him at our table talking to us the whole time. We were interrupted and not allowed to eat in peace. Next time we will not stay if we can't get or regular server. The casserole was hard. The rice was undercooked and the broc was overcooked. This is the worst Cheddars I've ever been to. The people that come here are so trashy it ruins the atmosphere. The restaurant is always so filthy as well. I always feel like I'm going to slip and fall on the greasy floors. Something is also wrong with the women's bathroom. There is always toilet water on the ground and it smells awful. My husband and I just ate at this restaurant for a, what would have been, nice Sunday afternoon lunch. We were told the wait to be seated would only be about 15-20 minutes. We waited for 35 minutes. When we were seated at our table, the floor was covered in used napkins and trash, the bench seats were wet, and the table was sticky. Proceeding with our meal, the bus girl cleaning off the table next to us, dropped three large plates. When the plates fell, they shattered, sending glass and sauce over toward our table. My husband and I both had to wipe our faces because of the sauce that was launched in our direction. When I looked down, my skirt was covered in the spaghetti sauce as well as my foot had been showered with it. Not once did any of the employees cleaning up the mess apologize for the accident. They offered to pay for dry cleaning if I needed it, and then went on their ways. We were so shocked at what had happened that we didn't have the appetite to eat our food. We asked for to go boxes, boxed our food up, AND STILL PAID for our food. *sidenote* our waiter was a bit arrogant and nowhere to be found. Before the table next to us was cleaned off, he went to look at the tip that was left for him. When he looked at the receipt, he shook his head in dismay as if it weren't good enough for him*. After we paid for our meal, we went up to the front and requested to speak with a manager. We explained what took place and how we weren't pleased, and we walked out with coupons that don't even equal up to the amount that we paid for our meal. We love Cheddars and do enjoy their food and atmosphere, but it will be awhile before we return to this one, just because of the way the situation was handled. read more
