They have one star ONLY because it doesn't allow me to give zero stars!!! This place is terrible, and when I mean this places, I'm not referring to cheddars, I'm referring to this location! They absolutely suck!!! My wife, daughter, cousin and I all went in around 8:30-9:00, they do not close until 11:00, keep in mind! We sat their for over 1:30 before receiving our food and also was coming in from out of town so, just wanted to stop and get dinner so we didn't have to go home and cook after driving all day! After receiving our food, it was hands down the worst food I've ever tasted!! My chicken tasted like fish, and don't get me wrong, I like fish, I just don't like chicken that taste like fish!! My potato wasn't even cooked!! Have you ever poked a whole in a potato that hasn't been cool yet!?? It was exactly the same!!! My wife's chicken was still frozen on the inside!!! The manager then comes to tell me I want to take care of your meal and I simply told her, no I just want me food COOKED and cooked right!!and she continued to say no I want to remake it and take care of your meal! So finally I agreed, she then went on to being nice and saying, come back in at your convince and we will take care of your meal on us for the inconvenience, so we decided to come back in tonight and I had even called to confirm everything was good before we came in and the manager KEVIN, went on to say yeah everything is good, and then we drove over 35-40 miles (from north Edmond) to get there and he say oh no we can't honor this AFTER we had already eaten!!! Got a Cheddar's gift card from niece, Thanks Brooke, and went by just to see what they had to offer. We started off with onion rings, and I must say these were very good, try them when you go for sure. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken and wife had club sandwich. I ordered the dinner size meal which had 2 pieces of white meat chicken in a nice batter with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. I should have gotten the lite meal. This is the 1st time in history of my eating that I had to ask for a doggie box. Chicken was good but I filled up on the rings. I really enjoyed the meal but I think they could knock it out of the park with a regular fried chicken meal " white meat or dark meat. Then it would seem like something you would "get :from scratch" from grandmas house on Sunday afternoon. read more

Strange that we came and had a party of 7. We waited a long time for a table and had to settle for two party tables pushed together. After being asked to split up our family just to sit. Food took 45 mons to come out and after sitting in the middle of two round tables. I am ready to go. The manager offer certain items off the final bill as a concession. read more

We have been here several times. No matter what time of day it is you will wait at least an hour to eat...after you get to your table. The food is not that great, you will not get bread, chips or anything else unless you pay for it! For the time and price you are better off going somewhere else. read more

Eaten here a total of 3 times. First time was opening day & of course it was awesome! That's where it ends next time went with 5 others for a birthday. All got their food except the birthday person by time they brought it the others had finished their plates. Third time was the last time, went on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 pm not a high traffic time. The 3 of us were seated immediately & that was the best part of that visit. Took 48 minutes to get our food which is fine if it would've been remotely warm but it wasn't. Upon bringing it our server's attention (after locating her) she put in another order & we had our food in 10 minutes piping hot & it was delicious. The portions are plentiful, appearance is good, flavor was good but the whole ordeal from this visit left a bad impression. When someone suggest Cheddars these things come to mind & I don't know that I'd ever eat there again. Beautiful decor though. read more

I'm from Tulsa, and the Cheddars there is usually pretty fast on seating. My party of 5 got here, was told it was about a 45 minute wait so we decided to stay. That 45 minute wait turned into almost TWO HOURS. Groups started getting seated before us that had come in after us. The bartender didn't get us a drink menu when we had asked for one, and the server wasn't even friendly. Not coming back here for any reason. read more

Gets worse every time I visit. It was good when I first started eating there but after a few times I feel that it got worse. The food is good but it is really slow. I was very disappointed last time I went. I ordered a soda and when they brought the cup out it had white stuff stuck on the inside of it. There were pieces floating in my drink. I had to send it back. They brought a new one to the table. However they did not give me a new straw and my old one was in the drink. So she touched my straw and expected me to drink it still. The waitress was rude and kept rolling her eyes. The food is good but the staff is horrible!!! read more

We were seated quickly and it went down hill from there. Ordered drinks that never came. later the staff said they were sorry. When the food arrived 2 sides were missing. When the baked potato arrived it was cold. I asked for a hot or slightly warm replacement the next potato was just as cold. (It didn't melt the butter on either potato). read more

I have been here multiple times in the past and always had a good experience (minus the wait times). However, on my recent trip, everything was just bad. I guess they just changed their menus, and our waitress didnt seem to know the menu. Its kinda funny since the menu has been printed and its your job to know the menu, but whatever. I ordered the small Texas cheese fries, but was brought out a large order. My wife ordered the garlic steak to be well-done but it came out as pink as can be. Throughout the meal the waitress never came by to refill the drinks. The manager did comp us for the cheese fries and steak, but I doubt I will be heading back anytime soon, especially with so many other options in the area. read more

Well I just got here and the service well it's just not so good. They take forever but it's a nice area. The fans are pretty dope and it smells good, but they haven't came over and asked if we wanted refills or more chips. But over all the food was fabulous would totally eat here again. read more

So my husband and some of his coworkers went here for lunch Friday. The food has always been very good and very affordable. My husband loves their catfish lunch so they went. They all work across the street at Tinker so they only have 30 mins for lunch. They walk in and it takes them forever to get seated even though there were tables clearly available. After finally getting seated, one of them open their silverware and the knife has dried food on it, so they ask for another set, opens that one and on the fork there is dried food on it as well. One of the other guys says to the waitress, can we try one more time to get some clean silverware. During the lunch, multiple glasses get empty. When waitress finally returns, bringing drink replacements, she reaches over my husbands food multiple times. Leaves the empty glasses instead of taking them when she leaves. The service was horrible, so unlike what we have gotten when we have gone as a family. The service has never been great, and its so unfortunate. Because the food is really good and it is reasonable for the amount of food you get. I don't know if its management that needs to be taken care of, but we have noticed there is such a high turnover rate of staff. This restaurant needs help with management and staff and they will be awesome! So my husband's coworker pays the bill, and leaves a penny on a napkin for her. My husband wanted to leave a $1 but his coworker insisted that she did a horrible job and he was not going to leave her any more of a tip. So as they leave, the table next to them hears Diane(their waitress) see the penny and says "what A$$holes." The table next to theirs were fellow coworkers. Diane I guess didn't know that. I waitressed when I was younger, I know that a penny is an insult to a waitress, my husband knows that, I wouldn't have left anything. But for future reference, if you do your job, you will be rewarded. We go out to eat a lot as a family, and we always tip very well. If you do a good job, you will be tipped $10 every time by us. But you have to earn it. And if you don't, watch what you say, because there are other customers watching and listening. read more

Haven't been to this place in over a year. Won't go back EVER. The service is the WORST & the food sucks. The atmosphere is extremely loud & it's mainly the people who work there screwing around with each other. I sat there for 35 minutes with an empty glass, had nothing to drink my whole meal. The "waitress" came by & asked if I wanted more tea after the meal was over. The guy who brought the food asked who ordered what & my husband ordered the steak & the guy put the plate down & left. No cut in it to see if it's cooked right or anything. The table right next to us ordered a salad & got it when he was 1/2 way thru his meal & then he had to ask somebody that wasn't our waitress cause she just disappeared. He sat there with an empty drinking glass the whole meal too. The floor was disgusting & the tables looked like they were washed with dirty rags & they were sticky. The mgmt doesn't give a crap either as when you call & ask for the mgr I got "I'm not the day mgr" so I don't know what went on. Really??? I just told you what went on. First impression was the name change...Cheddars Scratch Kitchen?? ...We entered the facility and was given a tour of sorts as the hostess couldnt read the seating chart..no biggie just three hugery kids in tow, I excuse myself after ordering my tea and went to use the restroom...first off the small hallway was being used for extra chair storage and there was NO way anyone with a walker or wheel chair could have made it to the facilities without hurting themselfs. Once I arrived in the restroom two of the staff members went into the handicap stall and were in there giggling (no idea why). The other stall has a light out but thankfully I have much awarness on how to use the facilities. I go to the sink to was my hands and the only paper towles are in a refill roll on the floor. It was just not a very pleasent, and whats up wiith the horrable low lighting it was hard to make out what my dinner was....also STOP using canned cheese for cheese dip...Gross. Our server was ok but the dining experance made me want to scratch Cheddars Scratch Kitchen for ever off my list. read more

We ate at this Cheddar's location last night and had an awful experience. It took well over an hour to get our food and once we got it, it was lukewarm. The manger apologized and said that she would have new plates brought out for us. Another 30-45 minutes went by so we just had them box the food up to go because it was 9:30 pm. My son and I wanted to eat our shrimp first before leaving though because we don't like leftover shrimp. My son ate one only to notice that the tail had a vein in it. I checked the second shrimp and it was very obviously NOT de-veined. Two out of the four shrimp were not cleaned. Before we ordered our food the first time I specifically asked if the shrimp was de-veined. Our waiter said that it was. I asked to speak to the manager AGAIN and she apologized AGAIN and said that she would check to see if their de-veining machine was broken or something. I was thoroughly disgusted. She ended up comp'ing our whole bill including the second round of food they gave us and we left hungry two hours after we arrived. My parents have been to this location three times previously and they said that each time was less than stellar but this time took the cake. We will never return to this restaurant. read more

New restaurant-excellent decor but horrible, horrible service! If put into the right management's hands, this place could seriously take off and be HUGE! Right now, wait staff is HORRIBLE.. arrived around 4 PM on weekday and hardly any patrons inside; we waited 30 minutes for sandwiches and salads to come to our table AFTER waiting 15 mins for a server to acknowledge us at a table. (No bread or drinks were offered to hold us over till food came out--bad idea-..keep customers happy while they're waiting). Food came out and food was literally 1/2 of a sandwich and the baked potato was not much larger than a jumbo size egg. I was shocked when it came out and asked if this was all of my order, waitress said oh we forgot the toppings for the potato..(woo-hoo , didn't make a big difference).. We ate, food was delicious and bill was very inexpensive. We also ordered food to go for my son at home and literally waited an additional 35 mins for them to bring that order out to us after we had finished eating-when the order was placed at beginning of our meal. They claimed they couldn't find anyone to make the gravy for the chicken fried steak order that we had ordered to go...? Great food, lousy portions, extremely lousy service but with the capability of being great with a lot of tweaks. Excellent prices on the menu items and beautiful decor inside & out .. with a little work this place could seriously be amazing! read more
