Cheech's isn't our neighborhood pizza place. The Pizza is really great here. They do something something special with the crust and its a really nice, sweet crunch. I've only ever ordered delivery - today was my first time coming in. I will say that I didn't like the lack of greeting by any of the three employees behind the counter as we walked in. There was no line or rush, but I felt like I had to approach them. I finally had to ask who I should be speaking with to order - they all looked at each other and one employee mumbled that I could order from him. It was very strange and unpleasant. I worked at Round Table Pizza when I was 16, I find it sad that our customer service standards were so much higher back then. While the quality remains the same, I will always keep buying thief pizza . . . but I think I'll stick to delivery from now on. read more

Cheech's offers a good variety of toppings that include my favorite, basil. The pizzas always taste great and more importantly, are made of fresh ingredients. All my orders have always been correctly carried out however, just recently I came across a slight problem with one of my pizzas. As soon as I called in, I spoke to a very friendly guy name Doug who not only addressed my issue very courteously, he immediately was willing to send some more pizzas my way. Though as hard it was to decline the offer, I had to for time being just because of the 2 medium pizzas ordered, I practically ate 1 all by myself! Ahh Cheech's Pizza! I grew up in the neighborhood and had this quite often. I'm a pizza fanatic so I've tried all different kinds from all different places. This is a small mom & pop joint with GREAT customer service, GREAT prices and GREAT QUALITY PIZZA! The owner or workers always greet you when you walk in and don't nickel and dime you when you ask for condiments/cheese & peppers. Now, every time I'm back in the neighborhood and need to eat, Cheech's is definitely on my list. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed. I must say Cheech's has really great pizza! You can't really go wrong with any item when eating here. I've had pizza, salad, cheese bread, mozzarella sticks...it's ALL good, especially the mozzarella sticks imo. The only reason I gave Cheech's four stars is because the last time I ordered and picked up it was someone else making the food. Usually when I go it's always the same guy and I'm not against change, but the pizza just wasn't as good as usual, so hopefully the regular guy is just on vacation or something because the food he makes is pretty darn good! read more

Love this place, its down the street from my work and for a while I was literally going once a week. I always get the cheesy breadsticks with xtra ranch and marinara on the side. I love coming to pick up my order and saying hi to the little old guy working the oven, I havent seen him there in a few weeks so I hope he's doing good! This place is a long-standing Los Feliz gem. I remember eating here for the first time during the heady days of my first love (lasting a total of 3 weeks) back in 1999. Seriously. This place has history. It's a much-needed low key, unpretentious spot in a strip of Los Feliz which has since gotten very star-struck, vegan, gluten-free, paleo and pricey. My favorite lunch here is the cheesy breadsticks with the Mediterranean salad (lettuce, tomatoes, olives, feta, red onions) with their Balsamic vinaigrette, although I've recently gotten into their BBQ ranch chicken salad. Absolutely do not come here for anything. They close early and the manager is so incredibly rude. I walked in 20 minutes before closing and he informed me that they would not make me a pizza and "when I open my own business perhaps I could come back and inform him how to run his." Cheech's is a beloved pizza joint in Los Feliz and it's all about their dough. It has a very unique taste and is what sets them apart from other pizza places. The crust tastes has a touch of sweetness which I love. When I first moved to Los Feliz in 2010 and it didn't impress me and I didn't eat there until last year. I was disappointed to say the least that I hadn't gone back there earlier as I missed out in 7 years of eating their pizza. I don't know if they tweaked their recipe but it is a go to place when I want a slice or a whole pie. The guy that runs it is very nice as is all the people working here. Their margherita pizza is AMAZING! More specifically, their pizza dough is mind blowing. I used to order pizza from Pizza Hut or Domino's, but I'll never do that again as I now know what good pizza dough is supposed to taste like. First time customer and definitely disappointed. I ordered a four cheese calzone, brownie and coke. The calzone shouldn't be called a calzone honestly. I ordered through Caviar and I saw a bunch of items to add to the calzone so I added Broccoli and Spinach- I think they charge you $1 per item. I saw ricotta cheese as an option for $1 more but figured that was if you wanted extra ricotta. Every calzone I've ever had has ricotta as a standard cheese so when mine came with just a bunch of other cheeses and no ricotta, I was really disappointed. There was no marinara sauce to dip the calzone in but it seemed to have red sauce already inside which is another odd thing to do to a "calzone". My soda was so warm like it wasn't even refrigerated beforehand. Also, the brownie wasn't in the bag with my soda so that was completely missing. Not a very good first impression. read more

Don't care for pizza that much but this places makes a extremely decent slice of cheese pizza. Not bad at all. Slices are 1.50 today (Monday) I'm guessing they are more expensive other days. These slices are perfect for 1.50 but not really more than that unless you get toppings. Sauce is acidic but also sweet and that's what I really like. We frequently buy their pizza for our office, and they never disappoint. It's not mind-blowing pizza. If you order a regular pizza with the classic toppings, it's good and it does the job. The reason I like this place is for their specialty pizzas! Get the one with the veggies on the bottom covered in marinara sauce...it's amazing! Small business big quality. I ordered a meat lovers calzone and it was delicious, the bread was just the right thickness so it didn't cause my jaw to tire unlike some chains whose bread is almost like rubber. The ingredients were also fresh and thankfully again unlike most chains there was little to no grease within the calzone so my enjoyment of the calzone was not plagued by gross drips or an off taste. Cheap gross cheese makes for bad pizza and a feeling of frustration and being ripped off. Making pizza isn't rocket science. Good quality cheese makes good pizza. Good quality flour and sauce don't hurt either. Unfortunately there is this business model where you buy the cheapest ingredients you can find and sell it to people who are eating there for the first time and people who don't care what they put in their mouth. That's this place, and they will go out of business eventually using this model. Hopefully sooner than later. You can tell how stupid they are because it's one of those places where you order a slice and their slice is so big they cut it for you into 2 normal size slices. How about selling a reasonably sized slice and spending another dollar a pound for some cheese that doesn't taste like melted plastic. So annoying. read more

My first time ordering delivery of this pizza and I was so pleasantly surprised at how awesome this place is and not just for making me a custom heart shaped pizza but also for how delicious this pizza truly was. Delivery came faster than the estimated 60 mins yelp delivery told me it would be. Also the pizza tastes so damn good. Ordered a Hawaiian with added jalapeños. The crust is delicious and the combo tastes like sweet and spicy garlic or something, the pizza wasn't covered in too many pepperonis like so many places do to over compensate either. Man, no se. I had such high expectations. Back in like 2003-04, this place was great! $5.00 personal pizzas were huge for what they were. Sandwiches were awesome too. You got what you paid for and then some. Price was cheap while taste and portions were large. I haven't given it a try since then. It's cool for what it is but I'd be lying if I said it was great. Though I ate most of it, I actually left the rest of my pie at the parking wall at the corner for anybody looking for something to eat. It wasn't worth the $ I thought. Maybe if it were like $4 cheaper wouldn't feel so cheated. I get it though, gotta pay bills + rent + employees. Much respect for employing folks. We found Cheech's Pizza, with 62 reviews and 4 stars...so we finally found some street parking and walked on over. There were small tables and seats out on the sidewalk, and since we had my big ol' dog with me I just stayed outside waiting. Cheech's pizza is a solid pizza joint. We ordered a medium sausage + jalapeno pizza and a large ceaser salad. It didn't take too long to get the order ready. I couple walks around the neighborhood with the dog and it was ready. The ceaser salad: not the greatest, but it was huge. My only complaint was there was way too much dressing, but thats just me. The pizza: it seriously didn't look too impressive. But I think what made it so good was not the crust but the sauce they used...it was a bit tangy and all around very flavorful. I liked it alot alot alot. If only I lived in the area...I would definitely be a regular here because prices are not too bad. I can afford it. read more

Cheech's Pizza is that great pizza place that you always want to order from and then you realize it's not open that late and you've screwed yourself yet again so you slowly begin to normalize your schedule so you can be assured Cheech's will be in your future. As a result, now that I've managed to start eating my dinner before midnight, I've enjoyed Cheech's on a weekly basis and never once have I been let down. I'm by no means a 'the crust is the best part of the pizza' guy. People who are have some real damage, I think we can all agree. That said, Cheech's pizza dough has this hint of sweetness that really makes the crust taste pretty incredible -- and that incredibleness is understandably overshadowed by the rest of the pizza, but I would rather have Cheech's pizza crust than a lot of other places whole pizza. Amazing. Cheech's Pizza is a Los Feliz staple spot and the only place I will order delivery from. Apart from the extremely friendly and accommodating staff, the pizza is bomb and it is surprisingly affordable. Anyone in the East Hollywood/ Los Feliz area needs to make the switch from mediocrity in the pizza market and try Cheech's. They also have incredibly good brownies.
