I originally found Jamie on Groupon for a mini-pedi. Since I wasn't interested in a manicure, I…read morereached out to her directly to book just a pedicure, which she charges $30. Scheduling was fairly straightforward: you text her, and she confirms the appointment. She's responsive about 50% of the time, which I understand since she's likely with clients, but her replies were usually quite brief. I do wish the communication was a bit more detailed and consistent. Her salon is located in one of those Phenix-style studio spaces (lots of parking spaces) where professionals rent individual suites for services like hair, nails, and facials. The building was clean and busy when I went on a Friday. Jamie has two small rooms--one set up for manicures and the other for pedicures. The pedicure space is compact, with just one chair, and also has an unused tanning spray station. The pedicure itself was pretty standard: foot soak, cuticle trimming, nail filing, and polish. She doesn't have a huge selection of polish colors, but the basics are there. The service took about an hour. One downside is that the room had a strong odor (cigarette) which I personally didn't love. Overall, it was an okay experience for the price.

I do not normally give reviews unless it's for great service. I understand how hard it is to start…read moresomething of your own, and try to keep my zero star reviews to myself. However, starting something of your own requires excellent customer service and this is just not it. Honestly if I could give this zero stars, I would. And I didn't even make it into the space. The customer service was downright awful. 1-2 word texts about everything they can't do, with no offer of solutions. In my initial text, I explained that I didn't really know what I was doing and hadn't painted my nails in a very long time, but that my best friend always had his nails painted, and I wanted to get something done for the memorial. Any sort of solution would have probably gotten me to book, but I'll take my business somewhere with better customer service, especially when the client is saying they don't know what they are doing. Maybe she's good for seasoned vets, but this type of customer service is not okay and if you are looking for something where the person will work with you or help you understand what you are paying for - look somewhere else.

This salon is dangerous and should be investigated. The technician clearly had no idea what he was…read moredoing. HE CUT THREE OF MY TOES UNTIL THEY BLED AND THEN SLICED MY SKIN OFF WITH THE CALLUS RAZOR SO BADLY THAT THERE ARE STILL DENTS IN MY FOOT. This is not just sloppy work, it is reckless and unsafe. When I told them to stop because I was injured, they still charged me, saying "he did the polish so he should be paid." That is absolutely appalling. No real business injures a customer and then demands money for it. On top of that, the entire place reeks so strongly of chemicals that it nearly caused me an asthma attack. I should have trusted my instincts and walked out the second I smelled it. This salon is unsanitary, unsafe, and run by people who clearly do not care about customer health or safety. The technician was incompetent, careless, and dangerous. Do not risk your safety here. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any salon and it should be shut down immediately.

The location is ideal for me, which makes it even more disappointing how bad my most recent…read more"manicure" was. I have been here once before and I really liked it when I got a pedicure and thought i found my new nail spot, however after this I doubt it. I looked through the reviews to try and get a highly requested manicurist and scheduled an appointment with him. I get there and I am waiting 30min past appt, seeing everyone come in after me get serviced. The front desk person apologizes for the wait (I dont blame the manicurist, his original appt slot for the person ahead of me probably wasn't scheduled for enough time). They offered me someone else or to wait. I had a lot of things to do that day so I took the next available person which was a mistake. This person did not give me a manicure. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got in the car. The session felt extremely rushed and judging by the results I was right. She didnt have me wash my hands once, when she put on the lotion at the end I still had dust on me from when she buffed my nails so she just rubbed all the dust into my skin which was very uncomfortable. She did get a hot wet towel at the end and took off the lotion...which was odd. When taking off my cuticles it felt very sloppy and rushed, she didnt do the sides of my fingers at all as you can see in the photo. The nail polish application was very sloppy I left with gel polish on my fingers! I gave 20% tip so the total for these were 50$! For a 30 min service that usually is at least 45-1 hour. They asked how everything went and have little review card you can fill out but I am very non-confrontational and the lady was right there and didnt want to make her feel bad that I wasnt satisfied. Also like I said I didnt see how bad it was until I got to my car. I anticipate these to start chipping in a few days due to the nail polish being oozed over to the finger rather than the nail. Which I did point out to the woman and she sort if attempted to fix but she should have just redone the nail in question. Very disappointed. 50$ down the drain!
