Totally disappointed. Products are common. Prices are higher than similar stores. Nice people though.

This store is pretty sweet as I noted in my original review. It's run by a group of Mennonite ladies and sells mainly dry bulk foods despite the name, however they do have ample cheese also. I wanted to revise my review though to share some tips on shopping here. For one, not everything they sell is exclusive to their store. These Mennonites are associated with the Yoders who have a local company making jams and other canned foods but not everything is by them. So for some things like standard trail mix you may find better prices at a larger grocery store elsewhere. The Yoder jams though are very good and worth buying. The fudge is also very good, as is the Troyer brand jerky. They have good stone-ground cornmeal also. The candies aside from fudge they sell however can be found elsewhere and probably cheaper. They make sandwiches back in the deli part of their little store and these are nothing special but good for lunch since little else is in the area. And the ladies who run the shop are expectedly a real delight. Definitely stop in. read more

We drive over an hour to the store several times a year. They have a lot of items not generally available in our area. Their quality is very good and their service is always friendly and helpful. Lots of seasoning, several different types of dried garlic for example. They do have a good selection of cheeses, jelly/jams, and make good sandwiches. read more

Amazing sandwiches! Will do a lettuce "wrap" if you need it without the bread. Friendly people and a great store!

My beloved aunt, who was born in West Virginia, made the best apple pies! After she passed, I got the last of her apple pie spice seasoning, which she got from Cheese 'n' More. I was a very sad when I used the last of it up in my last pie, thinking I'll never be able to get some from a country store in West Virginia being from Northern Ohio, but I was able to call the store and order some more over the phone! The saleswoman was very helpful and considerate and I'm so happy to know that I'll be able to make the exact same pie as my beloved Aunt Dotty for years to come! i love this place! i freaking love this place! my mom has been going here for as long as i can remember. it's a fantastic place to pick up spices at great prices (i just got a 2 lb bag of sesame seeds for $1.27, 1 lb grouns flax seed for $3.24, and 1 lb bag of fine sea salt for $1.96... guess how much that would cost me in the grocery store *shudder*), dried fruits (everything, mango bananas, apples.... oh i could go on... ), homemade jellies, bulk flours (all knds, including stone ground), and mixes (1 minute tapioca pudding, hot cereal, hot chocolate, etc.)... for cheap!!!!!! oh.. and the butter. i honestly think i cleaned them out of butter on my trip there yesterday. i'm not even joking. i picked some up upon order for some ladies at my job that demanded i bring some back after tasting it at our office brunch last year. i got logs of it for $9.00 and it'll honestly last for months. you can even cut off pieces to use and keep the rest in the freezer. it's amazing! (i will be giving out some for prizes for our "birthday pie off" in february... for serious. you have got to try this shiz!) the cheeses are fantastic. and sooo many varieties. they have dill havarti, regular havarti, pepperoni cheddar, provolone, gouda, parmesan wheels, mozz, and on and on and on.... i couldn't even list them all. there are also deli meats there. no.. i can't list all of those... i don't ever manage to get to that part before my bsket is full and i know i've spent way too much money... but can fill my large cooler for the trip home. when in there yesterday i noticed that they've even started doing sandwiches for lunches. $3.99 for a combo witha drink and chips. it's cheap and amazingly delicious. the store also sells some furniture and the like outside. it is part of the menonite society that produces such great products. everyone is always very helpful and kind, they'll be happy to help you with anything that you can. i wish that they would do mail orders. that would be amazing! but alas... no such luck. i'll just have to keep coming back year after year and begging friends who drive to bring me tasty treats. read more

We have been stopping here for snacks and pantry staples for about 10 years. I have always stocked up on spices but now will have to reconsider due to dramatic increase in prices. I have also recently experienced that the store is very busy and I have to wait over ten minutes to check out. This may not be a problem for some shoppers but I will not stop as often now. read more
