The guy was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to offer suggestions and tips. When I got my knives back they included a little note with a recipe to test them out and ab"thank you". It was really nice and I didn't know they give a portion of sharpening and class sakes to pay off student lunch debt (which is a ridiculous thing tonhave exist). They hold monthly classes for skills and sharpening as well as custom orders. If you can't make it during the day they have a drop box behind the shop you can put your knives in and they'll text you with updates. I will definitely be coming back for any knife needs.

I used Matt's pick up and delivery option this round and it was so convenient! While the mower was being serviced, my lawn decided to grow the thickest it has grown all summer so, my mower had its work cut out for it when Matt dropped it off. I got a full tune up and carburetor clean and blade replacement from Matt. Once I turned the ignition on, I instantly felt the difference in quality that my riding mower now had compared to before it was serviced. Smoother cutting, less vibration and quicker start up. I'm truly amazed at Matt's craftsmanship and I will be taking my equipment to him as long as he's in business!

At this point I just want the $30 back that she told me she would refund me so I can move on.

Was in for service on my 1998 Husqvarna 55. This saw has hundreds of hours on it and has been cared…read morefor intermittently. I wasn't sure what to expect. Jeff got it running like a champ. Nothing expensive. I asked him about a possible upgrade to a new saw and this will become a backup, but Jeff did not try to upsell me. He answered my questions, made some recommendations, and got my saw running and chains inspected and sharpened in less than a week when I needed them. I took my 55 out to work. I called back a few weeks later on the saw upgrade and optional brush cutter. I explained what I need based on property and tasks and Jeff made quick and accurate recommendations. I'll pick them up on the way to the property this week. The buying process was as professional and friendly as the service process. He also had options in stock (Husqvarna's newer style chain saw box, for one), so it was one-stop shopping. I run a small business and really emphasize supporting others. It's great to have a small, specialty equipment vendor like Minneapolis Saw Co. that has the baseline equipment, knows the equipment, and provides top quality service on site with reasonable turn around times. There are closer shops to me (Eden Prairie), but I'll make the drive to Minneapolis Saw Co.).

I went to Minneapolis Saw to fix and tune up my lawn mower back in March 2026. Unfortunately, I was…read morenot a happy camper because I had to wait full two months to get a new rear wheel replaced because they said they couldn't get the wheel because it was not available anymore. So they ended up using a wheel for a different brand of mower to replace the broken one. My mower was finally fixed after waiting two months. Meanwhile, on July 2026 I returned there again because the two rear wheels on the mower busted and were no good. One of these wheels they recently replaced back in May. This time they first told me the rear wheels couldn't get ordered because they are not available. I requested Minneapolis Saw to get rid of the lawn mower and I would buy a new one. They did not do as I asked. Instead, I find out a few days later that they were able to order the wheels in. I find this out after spending $600 on a new mower. Now, I am paying the full cost of fixing the old mower which ran around $226 after parts and labor. This was a terrible experience for myself because these idiots changed their story. All I get is the runaround. They say one thing and mean another. I would strongly advise customers to go elsewhere for any repairs.

I recently bought a new complete deck for my John Deere X350 tractor and had it installed by the…read moreservice department. When I picked up the tractor, I noticed the quick coupler part to the deck wash out port was missing. I asked the mechanic "Tim" for a coupler. He walked over to my old deck, which I paid for with the tractor when I bought it at Minnesota Equipment in 2023, and took the coupler off and put it on my new deck. I requested a new coupler for my new deck from "Issac" in the service department. He refused and said I'd have to pay for the part if I wanted one even though it's part of the complete deck. It's like buying a new car with three wheels and then told to pay extra for the fourth wheel! Unbelievable.

Was running rough, brought in for service to Minnesota Equipment Savage. 08/03/24. Service replaced carburetor, gaskets, resealed valve covers, set valve clearances and sharpened blades, $874.58. Unit had follow-up visit, following week, fuel pump pressure issue (no charge for follow up). Hours 290. 07/16/25 running rough, brought in for service. Didn't note hours on unit, estimate 10 added hours of use (five mows of lawn). Run enough to empty tank, require fuel. Service states the fuel smells stale. New carburetor needed, $500+. Service noted no noted damage to carb, no build up, no jell. Failed smell test. Run only premium, ethanol fee, gas. Gas stabilized in unit before winter. Container is 5-gallon (Fire Power Utility Container - with filler hose). Container is used on multiple machines (snow blower, snowmobiles, dirt bike and mower). The container was refilled in May, dirt bike use, prior to refill use in mower. No other containers in garage. Returning to pick up unit without service. Will self-install a new carb. Great fun. Old smelling gas? You decide.
