One of the last proper bike shops left in Essex, for that I am sure. A real back street gem, selling the highest brands of road bikes & mtb's. Good service and a wealth of knowledge and a real Aladdin's cave as they have a campag spare for a very old record gear set i had been looking everywhere for. They ended up fitting and servicing the parts they supplied me with and the bike felt like it was brand new again and the wallet didn't suffer to much damage either. Am going back to take a better look at the clothing very soon as it seems like a bit of a cycling boutique to me. read more

My main complaint is that they tried to flog me more expensive equipment than i needed. This includes advising of repairs or replacement parts that are needless. They use to state catastrophic scenarios if you did not have certain repairs done. However bikes and parts are high quality but seem to be expensive i.e there is little lower end choice. Wheel building is a specialty. Deals can be negotiated especially if you are a regular or when buying a new bike. Jon does have extensive knowledge. read more

Had a terrible experience of this shop. A shop run as a 'cycling club' rather than a business. In short, if you are a mate of Jon (the guy who runs it) you get sorted first. Have never come across a more patronising man. After the second service of my bike, the shop fitted a sub-standard tyre which exploded 200m into the next ride. My email complaint was never responded to. I now take my bike to a different shop where I and my bike are treated properly. Awful, awful place. read more
