They can sometimes come across a little abrupt if you don't know them, but they actually they are honest, straight forward and very helpful. Besides numerous repairs, I've bought a few bikes from them as well with no problems.

When I called, Paul said he ordered parts as the bike "needs a new gear link and sprocket/chain kit". The cost would be £300. I never had any problem with gear change and the chain was replaced 2 years ago and nothing was wrong with it. It was amazing that Paul Reeks decided to by-pass me and impose on me some unnecessary repair and cost of £300 without even informing me about until it would be too late! When I told him over the phone he cannot make decision on my behalf, he nicely cut off the line. When I came to collect my bike, gear change and few other bits had been dismantled, but Paul Reeks did not bother to put it back. It was obvious that the bike wasn't even checked properly, but the intention was to replace some parts and put £300 dosh into his pocket.

May experience of this place was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, a huge range of accessories and they even sell customised bikes to order as well as their own dealer specials. To top it off on the enthusiasm front, they also run a racing team! If you're in the market for a Triumph, these are the guys you should buy it from!

The showroom and shop are well stocked and the staff are generally welcoming and knowlegable. They were also prepared to haggle over the price of the bike I wanted and I do love a bit of haggling! All was well and I colected the bike on the day, they even arranged for someone (after a bit of a wait) to collect me from the station. I didn't find out until I picked it up that on all new bikes you can no longer turn the lights off. Not the dealers fault but manufacturers are being encouraged to follow an EU directive, not law, but how long until it will be? If the EU have their way all cars will soon have to follow suit!! No really! Incresed fuel consumption all round then?! My problems started soon after I rode off the forecourt. There were some small faults not really worth mentioning but the most serious one was brake fluid leaking from the upper resevoir which in turn blew onto the petrol tank. I was not happy, especially when Jack Lilleys' said they could not look at it for 2 weeks and suggested wrapping a piece of rag around it. Obviously I was not able to use my brand new bike during this time and the afternoon before it was due to go in I got a message to say they were unable to now pick it up and I would have to re book! When it eventually did get collected, not by the dealership as they had promised, I had to get the RAC to do it, it sat at the dealership while Triumph pondered what they were going to do. Their problem was that brake fluid and paint don't mix too well so it would need a new petrol tank. Not cheap, but then not my problem! So I was without the use of the bike for around a month and then had to take it back twice more for other problems which they failed to rectify on one visit then denied that the bike had been there at all because they didn't have a record of it!! I'm told things are better now following a change of personell,time will tell. Triumph are great bikes to ride and I do hope that Jack Lilley do get their act together.

I've been using the Yamaha Service Centre for over ten years now, and have always been very…read moresatisfied with the service they have provided - whether my last bike purchase from them, or its regular servicing and MOT. They are friendly and helpful, and have even been able to fix small problems without charging me. The staff are trained and accredited by Yamaha UK. And they really came to the rescue when I limped in last year with a malfunctioning engine on the way from Brighton to Shrewsbury on a Friday lunch time. I was expecting to have to cancel the trip, but they worked over lunch to diagnose and sort the problem - and wouldn't accept a tip afterwards. Fantastic. It's hard to find though: turn into Grimston Road from the New King's Road, and then go through the door on the left immediately before the railway arch. Drive carefully - the entrance is narrow and steep.

They diagnosed the problem with the gearbox and gave me two prices based on their experience of the type of car, one was best case the other worse case!!! So the car was dropped off at 8am and by 10.30am the same day they had repaired the car!!! And it was the best case price as well, win win!! The staff were nothing but courteous and professional, the car came back repaired and better than ever, they also said any problems bring it right back. If you have a manual gear box issue and you live south of the river Thames i would strongly recommend you check these guys out.

Do not use this garage as they are a complete rip off!..They charged me £132 to essentially replace…read morea faulty clutch cable and replace a nylon bush under the gear lever, I supplied fresh cable but the following weekend whilst on a classic car run with a group of friends the cable fittings popped off again and on closer examination the same bit of cable had been used so all the garage had done was to unscrew a grub screw and slide the fitting up an inch..I knew it was the same as the pedal end had some masking tape over the end that i put on there a year before..Now after a couple of months the gear lever is all sloppy again which would mean that they did not replace the bush as these are made of nylon and last a minimum of 10 years!..Also when i got my vehicle back the O/S exhaust was blowing??.. I will say it again.."A COMPLETE RIP OFF"

What can I say- the dude who helped me was very helpful, sympathetic to a fault (actually everyone but me think I had a very serious accident) and made some great suggestions on how to fall off next time. He also spent about 20 minutes helping me get a pair of gloves and fit a helmet. not easy considering both hands were wrapped in miles of bandages... Lovely little shop. Rate it second after the lovely local family owned place. You know what a soft spot I have for those...

What a rubbish service!…read more Came for an annual 'free' service I had booked well over a month in advance. Received a confirmation email twice, including a reminder the day before. Came to the shop on the day (a Saturday morning), just to be told that they don't have a mechanic, they don't why they booked me in and I can leave my bike for Monday. With their ridiculously minimal opening times it would mean I would have had to part from my bike for a week, thank you very much. That free service has a cost: a total waste of time! Will never cycle back there again...

Six weeks after I bought the bike I brought it to be serviced at Motoden. Turns out, the bike that I had bought was faulty with extreme dangerous wear and tear and the garage that I purchased the bike from declined to take any responsibility. As a student, the bill I was faced with shortly after purchasing the bike was enough to make me cry! Motoden saved the day. It took a few days for me to try to sort out the warranty and speak with the other garage, but Motoden stored my bike while I attempted to sort the problem. When the garage declined all responsibility, Motoden helped me to sort my bill so that it was far more manageable. I am so grateful to know a company like Motoden as they were extremely supportive throughout this awful process and without them I probably would have thrown by scooter away! I wish that I had bought a new bike from them. All of the staff are always customer focused and knowledgeable. I could not be more appreciative to have a company like Motoden on my side. They have gone above and beyond with helping me address an issue that was another garage's fault. If you are considering buying a bike or getting work done, I highly recommend Motoden. They have a huge range of tyres, from scooters to the latest sports bike hoops. They also provide bike security kit, servicing and spares, and other bits n bobs. They have a ride in, ride out service for most work, incl MOT's, unless you need your scooter/ bike servicing. (but if they are quiet, they'll probably do that too) I have nothing but praise for this place. It is great to have such a brilliant place nearby. Prices are very competitive. You will not be disappointed if you choose to use them. They are open Mon - Sat, usually til 5.30pm, but do late night on Weds til 8pm.
