I don't understand some of the less-than stellar reviews for this club…read more The cardio machines are plentiful and the members que up to use the disinfectant to wipe them down after each use. There is a fair mix of resistance machines that are we'll-maintained. The free weight area is squared away with racks, plates, and dumbbells. There is an additional "woman's only" room. The locker/shower room is quiet clean. Consider that the clubs has to do with limited space I never felt crowded at 6'1". Definitely my go-to place in Chetenham.

If I want to go to yoga and pilates 3 times a week, my actual membership cost is going to be through the roof! A friendly and welcoming club and when we went on a Monday night there were 3 bar staff on and we couldn't fault them at all. Tables were cleared regularly and wiped down each time and they didn't leave them wet either. Very good prices and unlike a lot of places don't charge huge amounts for their soft drinks (my usual a pint of diet coke was £1.20 instead of the usual £2.50) Bowling clubs can be a bit cliquey, but we didn't find that at all and enjoyed some friendly banter with the regulars. Only downside would be if you wished to drink here you have to join the club, but because it was so nice here I don't think that would be a hardship. Large car park available.

They have great facilities and a lovely bar open to the public, you don't have to be a member to come down and have a play or even have a drink. It's great to come down on the weekend to watch a couple of games ! Loads of parents bring their kids and there's a great community here for the little ones. They tend to run around playing hide and seek or their own games of rugby on the grass next to the pitches and everyone keeps an eye on them to make sure they're staying out of trouble. The club also has a lovely big function room available for all sorts of activities. It's all been re done fairly recently and is definitely one of the nicest rugby clubs I've been to over the years. My partner mentioned that there was a county cricket game and suggested we go over and see about paying in to watch the game for an hour or two. We got there and found an open gate that people were walking through, so we walked through as well. The place was not very full at all, but my it was impressive. The oval surface looked immaculate. The lovely day added to it, but you could see the place is maintained well. So we found the bar and ordered two pints. The bar staff were friendly and very polite. We stepped out and took two seats and marveled at the lovely view. A fabulous grounds and Worcester Cathedral in the backdrop. I have to be honest and say I am not the biggest fan of cricket. But my partner is and he is passing on his love of the game to me. Worcestershire were playing Yorkshire. It was lovely to be there, but as we had sneaked in, we decided it just wouldn't be fair to stay. So as soon as we had finished our pints and taken a few pictures, we were on our way. I can imagine myself being a member of the Worcestershire County Cricket Club someday... maybe when I have learned all the rules and fall in love with cricket as much as my partner has. But my visit to this club has definitely started me on my way
