I have got to say that in my opinion this is the best Chinese food Restaurant in Kenosha. I have been there many times now and have not yet had a disappointing meal. Hot and fresh and tasty. Every dish that I've tried here always turns out to be spectacularly mediocre. Even the usually reliable stand-bys like soups and egg rolls are on the bland side here. On my last and most likely final visit, my fried rice had an off-putting oily taste. They claimed in a local newspaper article that they could make authentic Chinese food if requested, but when I asked for the hot mustard (the real thing, not the stuff in the take-out packets) they don't carry it! They looked at me like I was crazy! This is a shame, because it is one of the cleaner, nicer looking Chinese places in town, and close to my house. Not recommended. read more

Tried this place a few weeks ago based on the good reviews. I got take out and and really enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken. It was a good size portion with piping hot, crispy, white meat chicken and a very good sweet and sour sauce. The beef and broccoli portion for the small size was generous as well, however I did not care for the flavor of the brown sauce. It seemed more like brown gravy, then actual a brown Chinese sauce. It was just ok but not for me. I'd definitely go back for the sweet and sour chicken, the portion was generous and it was reasonably priced. The service was ok. The young woman behind the counter was not very friendly and just matter of fact. If this was based on service, I would not be back. When I asked if they had "half-orders" of the crab ragoon, she looked at me like I asked for something crazy and then said no. There are other Chinese restaurants that do let you order "half" orders (4 crab ragoons instead of 8 pieces for half the price). Since the food was decent, the portions were generous, and the price was reasonable I'll definitely get take out again. If I can get a friend or my husband to order with me then I will order a whole order of crab ragoon as the other reviewers have stated they are good too. read more

Always consistent. Love the Hunan Combination minus the beef -- it's perfectly spicey with a nice variety of veggies. Definitely our "go to" meal at Chen's. Also have enjoyed the Singapore noodles and orange beef. Crab Rangoon are a must -- so good! Best Chinese in Ktown hands down. read more

I love this place. They have really good veggie egg rolls. The prices are very reasonable too. When you order the Shrimp Fried Rice... YOU GET SHRIMP!!!! It's so good. Take out is usually ready in 10-15 min., so I call in and head out and it's ready when I get there. Love it. read more

We have ordered take out from Chen's at least 20 times or more. They have never made a mistake on an order. Never. The food is ALWAYS hot, fresh and cooked just right. We have ordered many different items on the menu and have never been disappointed in the flavor. My family of 4 loves Chen's Bistro. We always get the food to go. The inside of the restaurant is small and nothing special but the food is wonderful. The staff is always polite too!! Highly recommend!! read more

Fresh,Light,fast and little flavor..I get it healthy Food,no MSG..The potstickers or fried dumplings 3 star, the sauce1 star,short ribs app was 4 star (best part of the meal)Crab lagoon 3 star, pineapple chicken 2 stars no pineapple taste and very bland,the orange chicken 3 star,The beef lo mein was 4 star..I wanted to give a 2 star rating but they put out a fresh product not greasy, fatty or burnt it was just not my cup of tea..I will try again and hope to improve my rating. read more

Best Chinese food in the area! the food is fresh and tasty. Made to order to your preference. We always ask for a little extra spice! They cook with no MSG or additives which is great in my book as I am allergic and always have to ask most Chinese restaurants to leave the MSG out of the dish. I ordered beef and Chinese vegetables; it was very good except that there were a few tough pieces of beef. I will order chicken next time. Good value for the money; large portion for a small price. Eggs rolls were delicious as was the chicken fried rice. Everyone in our party was happy with their food. One drawback; it is in a bad neighborhood; there was a panhandler waiting to greet us when we got out of our car to join our family for dinner; our daughter told us that the Pick 'n Sav in the same area has been robbed many times. Most of their business is take out; I would not stay and eat there again, but I would order their food to take home. The people who run the restaurant are very gracious. Try it for take out; you won't be dissapointed, but stick with chicken dishes. read more
