A very useful piece of road for travel between Tulsa OK and Springdale/Fayetteville AR, the Turnpike was completed in 1991. It runs 33 miles and has only three interchanges along the way with the tollbooth in the middle. At the moment, it's running at $2.50 each way for two-axle cars. Speed limits range from 65 to 75. Smooth, clear, and well marked, this four-lane dividen highway is the very easy to drive. The main $2.50 toll is payable with cash (exact change not required) or a PikePass. The interchanges have lower prices and might not be staffed so they are exact change only. Of course, there's a free road that parallels the highway. US-412 Alternate isn't nearly as smooth and has a 55 mph limit. read more
