Pastor and his wife love Jesus and they love us. We are blessed with two generations of wisdom as Pastor Joel's parents serve along side their son and they too minster to this body of believers in Christ. I was about ready to give up trying to find a church that was willing to take a stand for Christ and stand firm on The Whole Word of God and this is the place. You don't have to tell others that you spend time with Jesus it will be evident and this body of believers has a desire to mature in Christ and to be salt and light to our world. They will show you love and they will lead you into truth. Jesus answered , "I am the Way the Truth and The Life and no one comes to the Father except through Me. " John 14:6 If your struggling to find your way come join us at Glidewell and if you know the way, then this might be the best place for you, to grow further in knowledge and truth. If you have have no idea what all this means come and let us tell you. Coming to Glidewell at this place in my Christian walk has been a blessing and one that is hard for me to describe without writing a book. I have moved away from MO for a long time and I was in a place where the churches were mega. However, many did not have Jesus as the head, and many seemed to operate on man's wisdom and authority and not God's. I believe strongly God brought me some 1600 miles to sit under the teaching of Pastor Joel. God has chosen men to rise up and to disciple us. I am in a good place now where I can be discipled and I am thankful beyond measure for Glidewell and my Pastor Joel Childers.

3 Large screens at the front of the church. Check. Music booming loud at concert level. Check…read more Entering a dark auditorium with only the stage lit, congregation unlit. Checkity check check. Life Church has 3 Sunday morning services. 8:30, 10 and 11:30. I attended the 10:00am service. A few things took me by surprise. In order. 1) During the offering the pastor stated that if anyone was food insecure or had no place to stay to reach into the bucket being passed and take cash out if they needed it for food and or shelter. That is the first time in my entire life I have ever heard a pastor say that. That is such a true Biblical form of worship. Just beautiful. 2) When the sermon began I was so surprised to see the pastor was being broadcast on all 3 screens. I didn't see that coming and I was kind of curious where the pastor went? Mainly I was curious if I was watching a recording or a live sermon? Where did he go? 3) I brought my Bible with me but the lights in the sanctuary were never turned on at any point so I didn't open it because of course I wouldn't have been able to see it anyway. The pastor had specific Bible verses pop up on all 3 of his screens as he highlighted them at certain points. He was very engaging as he discussed the book of Ruth in the Old Testament. I didn't stop at the counter but it looks like after service they hand out packaged snacks and cups of iced tea. That's very nice.

I couldn't have gotten through it without all of them. The Care and Connections pastor as well as the Lead pastor both took the time to visit us in the hospital over 3 hours away from home. Other leaders have taken the time to check on us and offer prayer/support. Our small group has also been very supportive and helpful. If you are looking for a caring place to find and follow Jesus this is it.

My wife and I decided to check out other churches in our area, and was invited by my wife's step sister to check out their church. I've never been in a Mega church before, and this one was huge. You feel very lost and intimidated in here the first time here. The pastor they have though fills you with that spirit real fast though. He did a fine job. We are still looking around, but this church has made our short list of possibilities though.

He was 77 & had a good life. He believed in God & is in heaven now, talking the Lord's ear off!! He loved to talk!!!LOL It's been a challenge, but I am doing fine...now!!! hi! my granddaughter used to go to this church... the people are nice but they happen to teach the…read more"once saved always saved" theory, which is obviously not true. she has a friend that she thinks about 24/7 and misses him so much she secretly cries over it every day... he is so special to her and that's why I'm writing this review. btw his name is Gideon Gambriel and my granddaughter's name is Bella Cox. they met through the Bolivar Area Homeschoolers choir, and have been very close since. but after the last concert, they have been separated for a whopping 625 days... until we went to Walmart and there he was! His beautiful blue eyes reflected the light like "500 karat diamonds..." as Bella would say, and most importantly, his love for Jesus and his kind heart was shining through him... She said at that moment she wanted to hug him so bad but she didn't have the courage... and now she always tries to look cuter than she is whenever we go out for that very reason. she will do anything in this world just to be able to see him... so Ruth... if you're reading this, please put Gideon back in BAH.
