We purchased chicks and starter feed (scratch and peck organic). The chicks are absolutely filthy. I spent over an hour cleaning poop off them and they're still covered. I was tempted to not purchase the chicks but did because I felt bad and wanted them out of there. We have purchased chicks from other feed stores many times and never seen them in this condition. The feed is expired and has a serious weevil infestation. We buy this feed (layer version) from our local feed store and have never had an issue like this. It results from improper storage and age of food. People there are nice but quality of produce and animals is definitely not up to par with our local feed store. Customer service is horrible, i was greeted by young man who wanted to help but got upset that I didn't know what I wanted as it was my first time there , the owner or I assume he was the owner by his careless attitude was as equally rude as I walked out with my two bags of dog food, I thanked the young man for his help and he ignored me. A lot has changed since the last time I've been to this store and I must say I'm impressed! They brought more diversity in their employees and even had a bilingual cashier. I rounded up as I don't have many of the pets that this store is a resource for. If I owned chickens or horses, this would be a dream! However, even without "farm" animals this is a great place. Need birdseed in bulk? Done. Great quality dog food at better than PetCo prices? Done. Food quality diatomaceous earth? Done! They carry products for horses, livestock (cow, goat, sheep, pig etc), chickens and other birds, and dogs and cats. I found some good Merrick and Natural Balance dog food, as well as some dental treats for my dogs here. I really wanted to buy a chick, but what am I going to do with one without a hutch? So no poultry for me (yet). Great prices, and they'll help you carry it to your car. If you don't need 50 pounds of birdseed, they can get you less! I loved their honesty, quality, and the service I got. They offered to carry the heavy bags to my car (not that heavy but hey I really appreciated it!) and explained everything to me before I purchased. Will be back! read more

I drive past two other feed stores to come here. That's because I know I'll get my chicken feed and supplies at a much better price than other places and the customer service and product quality is top notch. I don't mind loading up my own feed, but I've never had to here. They are quick to load it up and take it out to the truck for me. They often use their cage out front to find homes for homeless kittens or chickens. Even if this place is out of your way, make the drive. The price and service is worth it. read more

I came in twice and both times they did not want to help me. I hate to pull the race card but sometimes it's just obvious. Not friendly at all and never said much to me. Felt really forced interacting with them. They should just put a sign up as to who they want to do business with. read more

I truthful did not have that interaction with them. I went into get a booster shot for my dog and they gave me two needles and two bottles of mixing ingredients and sent me on my way. I understand that the shot is cheaper this way but I'm not sure i like it, my Neice says she goes into them and they do the shot for her. Which is better I think. The workers that work here are the rudest workers I have ever encountered in public service. They were all enjoying a nice lunch and no one wanted to get off there lazy ass to help their customers. They all were arguing on who was going to help and they all kept saying no I'm eating I'm not getting up you do it. I love this local feed store. They are always helpful and provide great service. Chicks have always been healthy and they help out if you need to rehome a rooster. They usually deliver hay the same day and they are so accommodating. Baby chicks were crammed into a tub that was way too small for the number of chicks in it. What's worse is there were several dead chicks in the tub that were in there for awhile. When I told the guys at the counter, they laughed and made jokes about the poor dead chicks and one guy went to take them out of the tub and walked through the store swinging them around while those idiots laughed. Also, there was a hen in the front of the store who looked sick and had no food or water. I had my young daughter with me and this situation was upsetting to us. This is animal cruelty and neglect! Needless to say, we left without purchasing what we needed for our animals. We will NEVER go to this feed store again. I hope someone does something about this. Please don't shop at this store. read more

I have an overweight dog, who tore his ACL. He loves to play, wants to play, but cant, so he has been getting fat. I was told by my vet that he should try Canidae product. I was happy to know it was affordable (saved 12$ going here, plus shipping) here and as others have mentioned, they load it up for you :-) read more

The employees here are super friendly and helpful; especially the heavier Hispanic-looking guy. He's very knowledgeable about dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc. Ever since I found out about this place, I always come here to get my poultry supplies.
