Very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the services they offer. Sorted my neck and back pain out with one session.

She doesn't ask where it hurts. She hunts it down…read more Essential Bodyworks - Baton Rouge, LA Reviewed by - F. Smith - Busted back, heavy legs Session Date - September 19, 2025 I didn't walk in for candles or cucumber water. I limped in like a suspect with a secret. My lower back was stacked with tension like case files no one wanted to touch. My legs? Heavy as wet cement. Then Myra stepped in. Cool eyes. Steady hands. No small talk. She read the evidence, cracked her knuckles, and went to work. Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology--each move a clue, each press a revelation. Her hands weren't just working muscles; they were interrogating them. Every knot confessed. Every ache spilled its story. For women: The room wraps you like a velvet alibi--safe, warm, restorative. A sanctuary where the world can't follow. For men: Forget the fluff. This is results‑driven detective work. My back hadn't bent right in months. She solved it in one session. Case closed. For anyone dragging stress like a ball and chain: She'll pick the lock, swing the door wide, and let the light pour in. Fifteen years in the field, and it shows. She's not just licensed--she's legendary. The kind of therapist who turns pain into poetry, fatigue into freedom. Sometimes a massage hurts--but it's the good kind of hurt, the kind that whispers, "You're a healing buddy." Do yourself a favor. Book the session. Take the shot. You won't just feel better. you'll feel reborn.

I had been sat at home self-diagnosing for a good week or so, gradually becoming more and more depressed that I couldn't play football when I finally decided it was time to get some treatment. I booked in at The Good Health Centre as the main guy there, Dougie, had treated loads of my friends and family members, but as I booked in short notice it was Charleen who I was booked in to see - she is brilliant! Anyone who has endured a proper sports massage will tell you theres very little relaxation involved in it as the idea is to get those knots out and work those tight parts of your body into a more natural fluid state. Charleen certainly does that. The first massage helped loosen up my hamstring but 2 days later I could still feel a slight kink in there, so I booked back in and they made an effort to fit me in on that day - great service. The second massage hit the spot, literally. As my hamstring was a little looser for this one, it enabled her to pinpoint the exact spot that was pinching and 45 agonising minutes of me gripping the treatment table later I felt ready to play again - and I did, 2 days later for the full 90 minutes. The best bit about these guys though, and this goes for Charleen, Dougie and the entire team, is they tell you whats causing your pain and what to do to prevent it in future! I think I'll be making a weekly or bi-weekly massage part of my regime now - and a £30 a time you can't really knock that! I can play football again. So happy Matty is back.
