The employees who work at the libraries (with some exclusions) are not kind and helpful people. They are rude, uninviting, bad at explaining very simple library functions and do not encourage any sort of education like a library employee should. The county needs to weed out the dysfunctional and unhelpful employees and replace them with fresh, capable, motivated and smart people. The whole community would benefit from it.

I am not a Truckee resident and did not have any issues connecting to the internet which was speedy and free. The library is decently sized and has all the usual library stuff, including fiction and non-fiction, reference and periodicals. There are computers available to be used though I'm not sure if those are for residents only. I'm not suggesting that there's an exposed power outlet on the back wall of the library but if someone was looking to discretely charge up their RV's onboard battery while using the wifi of the library, they might be interested to know that.
