I've been coming here ever since it opened up back in 2018 and it has since become my oasis, my fortress of solitude, my wellspring, my haven, and my home away from home. The staff are incredibly nice and extremely knowledgeable about everything cigar and pipe related. Their VIP lounge is very nice as well. Really nice cigar store. First class humidor with all the right brands. Didn't have time to spend in the smoking lounge but nice without having to buy a membership. One of the better cigar/pipe stores I've ever been in. A must stop every time I'm in Lafayette. read more

I've had aspirations for wanting to open my own cigar store for quite some time. That day is finally coming to fruition. That being said for me when it comes to contacting & or visiting a business for the very first time it begins & ends with great customer service. On Friday August 18, 2023 I reached out to several cigar shops I hoped to acquire inside information & gather ideas to copy & use for my own. By far I mean hands down grade A top shelf grand slam knocked it out of the park was Chesterton's Fine Cigars with their customer service. They should really stand up & beat their chest. On the initial phone call they picked up on the second ring & the lovely lady that answered was very polite & professional. A little too chatty for my taste, but extremely friendly. She even took the time to ask me how I was feeling today, which shows me the lengths they are willing to go to make their customers feel welcomed & appreciated! Even though they didn't supply me with the names of their contact information for their vendors or their floor plan documents. Based on how great their customer service was I would devote my time to this shop & this shop only to get the information I need to help my business thrive. I'm looking forward to visiting the shop in person & building a relationship. Hopefully they will allow to hang out at the shop & talk to all their vendors as they come into the store & let me bring my oversized sketch pad there to work out some floor plan ideas. So for all of you cigar enthusiatist my shop (The Brown Nub) which is coming very soon is going to specialize in refurbished quality name brand cigars with the motto A Lttle goes a long way. Great place, helpful staff, remembers the brands I prefer which is a nice personal touch.

I would not recommend this place for people of color, as I walk into the store and headed towards the humidor, the sales rep follows me into the humidor and constantly looks over my shoulder as if I was planning to steal cigars. I still ended up buying $160 worth of cigars but I will never purchase any more cigars from this shop again. read more

Great cigar shop. They have a nice selection of cigars and some pipe tobacco. They also put together different events like movie nights. I haven't been to one of those, but they are a great idea. I live pretty far from the shop, but I always stop in when I am in the area. read more
