This used to be a great place to stop, but now the people running it are just letting it fall into filth and disrepair and clearly doing nothing about it. A week ago, on my way from Phoenix to LA, I found the women's bathroom at this place was far more disgusting than before, and the stalls were literally falling apart. Every time someone opened or closed a stall door (which took some serious effort) the entire thing shifted. Multiple pumps were out of order, and I had to circle around many times, due largely to ***holes leaving their vehicles parked in front of the pumps as they went inside and took their sweet, sweet time. (If you do this, I hate you.) I stopped here again today, on my way back, and everything was WORSE than before. The stalls had continued to fall apart and were even shakier than they were a week ago. One of the toilets was unusable for reasons I did not wish to personally investigate. As I shut the stall door, a bolt fell off with a clatter. There were no bag hooks. There used to be, once upon a time, but they're gone now. I clutched my bag in my hands as I sat on the toilet, trying desperately to pee, as a growing line of people stood waiting outside the stall, peering at me through the cracks. I felt incredibly vulnerable and uncomfortable. The person in the stall next to me let out a series of loud farts, which smelled like cow manure. For purely psychological reasons, I was unable to pee. Both soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty, with two tiny bottles of "kids' hand soap" sitting next to the sinks, 99% empty and watered down to get the last drops out of them. I washed my hands with the soap water, got some snacks, and spent the next fifteen minutes trying to find a pump that wasn't broken or being camped at by lazy selfish people. Silently, I cursed everyone and vowed never to return. read more

The pumps are usually out of order, bathrooms are being cleaned and not available and the employees are busy socializing with each other. But it is a Chevron with low prices and Safeway discounts otherwise I wouldn't go near the place! read more

Do yourself a favor and keep driving. I've stopped here a few times just to use the restroom and this place is a dump. When walking in you immediately notice a lack of anything.. there is a Quiznos in the corner, a small convenience area, and a Nobel Pizza right in the middle with precooked pizza ready for the taking. Oddly enough I have yet to see anybody at the Quiznos, or buy pizza, but I guess its pretty safe if you're buying a pepsi, or other prepackaged food item. If you choose to use the restroom, like many people do, you will notice its just not clean. It looks like someone wipes it down once or twice a day, but nobody bothers cleaning the crusty, leaking plumbing fixtures, or the graffiti in many locations. The paper towel situation is hit or miss, you might as well wipe your hands on your jeans since they are probably cleaner than anything else in there. Also when walking in and out take a look at the dark finger print stained plain grayish walls. In addition to the cleanliness issues I happened to catch this place right when their satellite link with the mothership was experiencing problems. I just wanted to buy some almonds and a pepsi and credit card 1, declined, credit card 2, declined, credit card 3, declined.. me WTF??? .. oh sorry sir the satellite link is down.. oh its back.. oh its not. .. I was able to squeak by when one card made it through. If you're not sure which Texaco just inside Arizona this is, you can identify it by the giant sign out front that shows gas prices, but is lacking any name brand on the gigantic sign facing the freeway. It looks like this was a Travel America, Flying J or something like that in a previous life. At least those places show signs of life, are clean, and have working gas pumps. read more

This is 2 stars because I used to not mind this stop on the way to Cali. This used to be our go to stop before Blythe because it was clean, well stocked & more important working & clean restrooms. The fountain soda machine needs to be cleaned out. The soda has an after taste of bitter root beer. The restrooms doors are now broken in the womens restroom I suspect because the stall walls are falling N so the N stalls doors you have a friend hold closed or have a long enugh arm to reach the door & hover over the toilet to do your biz. On the weekends the towel dispenser is empty & TP empty by noon on a Saturday. This place needs another over haul outside too. The signs are broken out & faded & don't get me started on the state of the sandwich shop... Let's just say with flies circling the prep table was enough to stop me. Just sayin'. read more

No water... C'mon. We were traveling with our RV. Spent $90 on gas and all the water spouts in the truck area are turned off and others are locked. I asked and they said they can't unlock them. Absurd. Time to get serious about treating customers right. Support someone else. read more

It's a gas station just outside the California border. Last chance to fill up before you have to pay extremely high taxes in order to bail out a failing economy. Oh, right, gas station... the people that work here are pretty friendly, nothing huge to report, came in, paid for gas, gases up, and then got my change. I like coming here because it's not that crowded. Every one is getting fuel at exit 1. Just drive on to the next exit. Prices are about the same. Been here a few times and never had a problem. This will probably be my regular stop going to Cali and coming back. read more

I was checking Gas Buddy for prices while driving between AZ and CA. This place was $0.80 less than the stations in Blythe (yes, 80 cents/gallon cheaper)! There were no lines at the pumps, and they all worked well. This is not a decrepit station like so many in the area. The store is big and has a bunch of food options as well as an ice cream shop. There's a huge and well-stocked cigar humidor in the place, if you're into that. Overall a very nice place to stop on an AZ-CA trip. read more

We have been stopping here for years, on our monthly visits with family in Phoenix. NEVER again! The bathrooms have been getting more and more disgusting. Today was THE WORST. Out of 4-5 stalls, only one was even remotely usable, and it was DISGUSTING. The store has a weird smell, and it's always in shambles. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

We used to come here instead of flying j because they had cheaper prices, but not anymore they are about the same price now, their bathrooms are disgusting, they dont even offer toilet seat protectors, the staff is rude and their pumps are frequently not working. The last time we went there, no one of the pumps were working, and they said "ya. We are processing end of day, so they will be down for 5 minutes". Mind you, this was at 9:46. All the pumps had cars at them. And no one could get gas! Such a waste of time! We had to backtrack and go to flying j instead. Dont waste your time here. read more

Worst place ever, reminds me of a gas station in mexico no maintenance what so ever. Restrooms where disgusting, once you walked in the entire entrance to the restroom smelled like urine. The stalls had urine all over the floors, if this was the women's bathroom i cannot imagine what the men's restroom was like. Not sure if this place was under renovation because there was so much empty space like if whatever was there before went out of business. Subway seemed a little descent but the rest was just plain horrible, disgusting and just not a place to take a break from a long drive or even stop to use the bathroom. read more

This gas station is the best! I always, and I do mean always stop here when I am coming from California. Not only do they have great gas prices... Better than when you first enter into California... But they have a cigar shop in a large walk-in humidor, Subway, souvenirs, and Lottery scratchers! Horrible place. Stopped for gas and to use restroom. Restroom was filthy and out of soap. Gas pump barely worked. Would shut off every few seconds. No call button for help and going in would mean getting my infant out of his carseat again and hauling him back in there and probably would have just been told to use another pump, which I was not prepared to wait in line again. read more

I stop for fuel at this station several times a week and for some reason tonight they had half of he pumps cones off leaving only one automotive diesel pump available. The lady attendant could only say the "satellite" was down and no one there knew how to reset it. She recommended we go to Loves so we took her advice and I will be using Loves for all my future stops. Thanks for the horrible customer service and Loves thanks you. read more

this place used to be well worth the extra 5 cents a gallon compared to the loves and flying-J nearby. NOT ANYMORE ! today i filled up there, and it seems like half the pumps were not working. they were out of premium on all the pumps. the place is dirty and the staff seems to have a moral problem (i wonder why? ;) - when it was new it was worth it, but next time i think i will fill up in Quartzite. read more

The most striking thing about this truck stop is the huge WALK IN HUMIDOR and great CIGAR SELECTION!! The managers, as well as the workers, were friendly and helpful. I picked up three Rocky Patel Decades and a cup of coffee and hit the road. Cigar lovers should make a stop here to re-supply their humidor. Its a short hop from Blythe to cigar haven in the desert! It's missing the main signage for being a truck stop. Just remember Texaco. read more

This place is your last inexpensive fuel stop before the California taxation overwhelms your gas prices. The pilot just before the border is a little bit higher just because they think they can. This place has a sandwich shop, pizzas to go, ice cream tubs, fudge, and a normal selection that a quick stop shop would have. They have a few tables to sit at and enjoy your food too. read more

This place is not the place to stop if you want gas, the pumps are always troublesome. The bathrooms are on par with a third world country, I wouldn't eat here. That being said, they have a pretty extensive cigar humidor and the staff is friendly. ... that's the only thing keeping me from rating them a one star. read more

Stopped in on our way back to Palm Springs to top off gas and use the restrooms. Bathrooms were dirty and smelled like urine. It didn't look like they had been cleaned all day. No seat covers, toilet paper all over the floors, locks broken on stall doors and dirty sinks. Will pass this one by next time. read more

Grew up with Texaco. The good ole days when if you completely filled your tank, you'd get a free carwash!! I pretty much used my Texaco card for all my groceries during college--thanks Mom and Dad!! But even though I have nostalgic days of "Texaco", this one GREATLY lets them down. Plenty of gas stalls, and this is where it ends. The store is picked over, I wouldn't eat at the "fast food" they offer (it indeed looks fast, just not food) and the bathrooms...the woman's room was so disgusting: two of the stall doors wouldn't lock; not a single stall had toilet paper; the trash bins were over flowing; the roof and walls are in great disrepair; the floor was littered with paper and whatever else; there was no soap in dispenser; and the paper drying towels were perched on the sink in a pool of water, soaking all the way through---NOT SANITARY!!! My husband mirrored the same situation in the men's room. Even though I love "My Texaco", we will not be stopping here again. Let's get it up to code guys. read more
