This business practices recording video and audio. They record any time you enter the business. You are not verbally advised, and as my minor child is often with me, I found this very offensive and worrisome to learn. My experience with Chewies Playland was continuous for over 1 year until the winter of 2024. Where I was once happy because my dog was happy, about 9 months later, I started to question the inconsistencies in the services and billing practices for grooming. My dogs behavior after boarding. I stopped using the grooming service. My last boarding showed inconsistencies in the various boarding charges. As of February 2024 I stopped being a customer. Anytime I asked for a straight answer about pricing I would get, a different answer or they just want to take something off my bill. My last visit charges were incorrect. I thought I was going to have a conversation with the owner to acknowledge I was NOT charged enough $$$, but I wasn't allowed to speak a word. Later, I received multiple text messages after the call, including one threatening me if I put in a poor review of the business. read more

This wonderful place took our new puppy on very short notice. They sent adorable pictures of little Frieda having a great time! Our excursion ran late so we called and let Chewie's know. They were so very gracious and kind to us about being late. Frieda was exhausted from her day of fun and friends...slept like a rock! Highly recommended! read more

Something brought up to the Owner and she was very argumentative over it being brought up to her. Not very business like, The Staff is not professional. Play spaces are so tiny indoors and outdoors , and all around very over priced. Not recommended Between seeing these things after only bringing my dog there a few times and how ridiculous it was to try and communicate with them- I'll never go here again. So much competition right now opening up- you would think they would be better about things and have better prices too and especially speak to ppl appropriately. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Doggie Daycare, Boarding and Grooming establishment. (Haven't done any training... yet!) These folks take amazing care of my dog and have been for almost 3 years now. They are my dog's extended FAMILY. I trust them with her life. Whether it be daycare (my baby attends daily as I have long working hours), boarding while I travel, a bath for when she's smelly, or an early or late pickup they are always kind, accommodating and super helpful. I couldn't recommend a daycare more highly than Chewies! read more

Love love love Chewie's! I have a 11 month old 1/2 frenchie 1/2 Boston named Grace. Grace can't get enough of doggy daycare! We don't have kids or another dog so this interaction is all she gets with others. Bonnie posts pictures everyday of the dogs playing so you can see your pup is actually having fun. Plus, it's right in the animal hospital. If I need to take Grace for shots, they take her during the day to get them. When Grace was spayed Bonnie kept a close eye on her throughout the day and next morning. She sent adorable pictures showing she made it thru surgery well. I board Grace when needed. I can tell they take great care of her as she doesn't come back with a different personality. The best part is that the boarding area is clean and the dogs have ample space. The Playland is clean and well-run. Pricing is inline with other playlands in the area. read more

Can I just say the owner and all her staff at Chewies are THE MOST KIND and caring animal-loving humans out there! Our 3 yr old Old English Sheepdog has been cared for by these wonderful folks since he was a baby. He's a daycare regular and recently starting doing some boarding. He has epilepsy, and he gets his medicine without a second thought... He plays, rests, socializes and comes home very tired and happy everyday. They post lots of pictures and the dogs get special attention on their bdays Recently we've had some unexpected family illness and they've been so accommodating with us and our needs. We are so lucky to be a part of the Chewies family (and we're not "favorites" or receiving special treatment- they treat all their animals and humans this way). Highly recommend read more

My new husky pup absolutely loves it at doggie day care. We waited to get a pup until we were back in the area specifically so he could go to Chewies during the day. It's been great for him to socialize with other dogs and people. It's a wonderful place with wonderful people!! They have been working on getting him used to baths, people,dogs, and even getting his hair brushed! They are wonderful to work with and he runs right to the door everytime! read more

Dishonest- several times upon dropping my dog off I would hear the staff complaining about their jobs as well as trash talking each other, highly unprofessional. I also saw a staff member raise her hand to a dog outside ... at that moment I chose never to take my dog back to this place - that's not ok. Owner is super argumentative when things are brought to her attention- also not ok. I do not recommend this place at all for any service. read more

Chewie's bent over backwards when I needed daycare and boarding for my pug, Taz. I appreciate that you have policies in place for the safety of all who come to play. Taz was always so happy to see the steps to Chewie's, he would RUN down even though he is almost 11 years old. We haven't been by lately since we live 30 minutes away but I am so relieved to know there is somewhere safe and fun for Taz to go when needed. Wow!! This place is amazing! I am so impressed with their customer service! Emily is one of the sweetest people ever! I will happily be bringing my puppy Murphy here. They just opened a new location in North Nashua and I couldn't be more pleased. It's right by my work and they have open availability. Emily bent over backwards to assist me in getting my puppy Murphy into the daycare even though it was such short notice. I can already tell these people love animals and are in it for the right reasons. You can tell they love their jobs and animals! I love my baby more than anything and having the confidence to know he is getting properly cared for whilst I am at work makes my life so much easier. Thank you for providing such stellar service! Amazing. Love that there is a person there 24 hrs when boarding your pet. Also love that they are at doggie day care all day not in a kennel sitting there with nobody. Chewies is so accommodating. This is a great place and my dog has always enjoyed it however they claim to the drop off service always being welcomed is far from true as more often than not when I call ahead, even sometimes a day ahead I'm refused!they're booked up. nonetheless a disservice to people who frequent the service. I just picked my dog up from a 4 day stay at Chewie's while I was out of town. The staff keeps you in the loop and constantly posts pictures! It was such a relief to be able to know that my dog was in great hands and I could see her having fun, too! I was extra nervous because I had never needed to board my dog before, but Chewie's exceeded my expectations! Thank you Bonnie and staff for taking such great care of my baby while I was away! Our experience was not good. We have a rescue pitbull and we felt he was discriminated against. Bonnie sent a rude email about his behavior and kept expressing how she has 40 plus dogs that my dog was a problem. She seemed as if he was too much ro handle. Whenever i have gone there she isnt there and she has very young staff who very nice but young. Because of her attitude we we are going somewhere else. I recommend she doesnt take in more dogs because she has too many now. read more

My wife and I have used Chewies to board our dog the past few times we have gone on vacation. Staff is very pleasant and they send picture updates on how your dog is doing throughout the day. Facility is very nice and each dog has it's own kennel which is a pretty good size. Bonus is the doggie day care during the day which is included. Price is a little more than some other places in the area but you can't beat the location and convenience. read more

We were looking for a new daycare to place our dog when we cannot be with him during the day. The place we had been before was not up to our standards of excellence, and we found it increasingly more dissatisfying each time we left him. We tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but when it comes to the care of our dog, this place was not making us happy. It was not very clean, the dogs were not taken outside for potty breaks, and the playtime for puppies was limited. That said, we were advised to take a look at Chewie's Playland. I checked out their website and was happy with the content, description and ease of navigation. This prompted me to set up a "test" daycare session to see how our dog would do. I was elated to see that the puppies and older dogs play all day and are taken out frequently for potty breaks. They are rotated in different open pens where they can play with different pen mates, and are taken care of by different counselors. We were so happy to know that this daycare is located on the bottom floor of an animal hospital and that it is run by vet technicians. We knew right away that if there were ever any issues, our dog would be taken care of. And all this reassurance was all before I even set foot in the building! When we walked into the daycare center, I immediately greeted by the vet technician who runs the daycare center. I was extremely pleased with the time that I was given to talk about the daycare, and how well my questions were answered. I was also able to see how the employees handle the dogs -- all very good. Puppies and dogs are handled with extreme love and care, and are so gentle. As a few others here on Yelp have already noted, I was immediately put at ease, knowing that our dog was in VERY capable and caring hands. There was such a wonderful feeling of warmth and care for these dogs, and I was confident that our dog would love it there. Pictures throughout the day are posted for those who follow FaceBook, and if you do not, pictures are emailed to you right away. Texts are sent, or voice mails are left if there are ANY issues. When I picked our dog up, he was so happy and tired. I could tell right away that he was taken care of very well, and that he was loved while he was there without his parents. We plan to use Chewie's at any time we need to be away and cannot provide 100% attention to our dog. We also plan to use Chewie's to board in case we have to spend time over night at a place that does not allow dogs. This place is wonderfully run, reasonably priced and located in a great area. You cannot beat a daycare that is directly below an animal hospital! This really is a great place. We hope that this first impression will continue for a long, long time! read more
