I love their wings and chicken tenders but recently I got the tenders and they're extremely different than what they were before. I am hooked on the steak quesadillas. I have ordered them at this location and the Albemarle Road location. It's my favorite! Soon, I will sample the wings as family members enjoy the flavor varieties. Service was efficient with most clients ordering take out. The restaurant, much like the other location, is open and airy and is located on the corner. There is plenty of seating in their trademark white tables and chairs. There is an outdoor patio area on side should you want to eat outdoors. I don't recall seeing an outdoor covering. On my visit, it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the Charlotte area. read more

I've had their food before, but this time I tried a different flavor of wings. I tried Honey Gold and AMAZING!!!! By far it's my favorite! The Grilled Shrimp salad was ok, just had wet salad and liquid was in the plate, but other than that no problem. I knew it would be busy so when I walked in, it wasn't too bad. It became busy and I waited for 20 minutes, but the lady came to check on me and made sure I received my order. Others there appeared satisfied and it wasn't too loud. we attempted to eat here yesterday when we get in line, we see a huge poster stating ALL ORDERS ARE NOW PLACED ON THE KIOSK (which is fine) so, we get inline for the kiosk where a party of 5 is currently ordering we patiently wait after about 7-8 minutes, we realize, which the owners of CHEX have not, that they need 2 kiosks, but ok around the 10 minute mark, a new customer arrives & the cashier kindly exclaims, "i can take your order!" what about us who have been waiting for 10 minutes? at that point, we left -- not everyone should be in the restaurant business -- CHEX is 1 of them we went to a restaurant who always serves hot fries, but thats a different review all together LOL read more

We selected a Friday night to attend this establishment and the atmosphere was chaos and they were very unorganized. The ambience was chaos. The service was OK. However, the food was very good. The wings were good. The fries were hot and they were also good. My recommendation would be to try this restaurant earlier in the week or possibly mid week. Placed a small (30 boneless wings) advanced online order for Super Bowl Sunday, expecting a wing place to be prepared for the rush--big mistake. My 5:45 PM pickup turned into a nearly 2-hour wait with zero organization. And no, I wish I was exaggerating on the wait time. I was there 1 hour and 45min and was told 6 different times my food would be right out. Staff seemed overwhelmed, orders were misplaced, and customers were left frustrated (but no yelling luckily). So missed the first hour of the Super Bowl and they didn't have it on any of their many TV's either. Felt bad for the employees, especially one who broke down under the pressure and another cook appeared to have a meltdown as well. When I finally got my food, it was missing buffalo sauce. On the plus side, the wings were still good, but the experience makes me hesitant to return. Management needs a better system for big events--maybe cutting off online orders earlier would help. I did reach out to them (via their website) a few days after my experience and received no response. read more

Super clean dining are, like wow clean! Bright and vibrant lighting for an energized atmosphere. The crew taking order are ON POINT!! and they're NOT shy to say what they like or don't on the menu. Honesty is something I cherish especially when it comes to snacks. Watery Salads.... let's get into it. So I order from multiple Chex, and it never fails uptown and Prosperity prior to them Davis Lake. I'm obsessed with the Buffalo chicken salad. But what I'm not a fan of is the undrained contents, which causes the lettuce to wilt very quickly and become soggy and inedible. At 16.00, I expect not to have to drain the already made salad. My lettuce is turning translucent, and it is gross to have a puddle of water with a fried chicken salad. Everything is soggy and soft, and I am disappointed. Just made my first visit for lunch. They've done a great job remodeling the place looks great. I had the Philadelphia cheesesteak, it was wonderful. The best I've ever had in Charlotte. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. One thing there was no unsweetened iced tea available and temperature. It was a little cold in there.
