Although TLC wasn't the cheapest estimate, I decided to go with them anyway. It was stated in the contract that I would keep all the wood, and the crew would cut it into 16"-20" pieces and stack it. On the day of the removal, the crew showed up two hours late with no phone call or text. I was nervous that they weren't going to show up, so I called Jeremy to touch base. The crew finally arrived, and I went to my neighbor's place just down the street. A few hours later, I saw two trucks leaving my lot loaded with two large tree trunks worth hundreds of dollars in hardwood. I confronted Tom, the site foreman, and he said, "I didn't think you would mind." and said he would "knock a few bucks off the price". I called Jeremy, and he apologized for his crew stealing the wood. He said this has never happed before. While we did come to a discounted price, in retrospect, I should have filed a police report. If you hire TLC, keep a very close eye on their crew. They are obviously not trustworthy. If they were willing to steal from me, it's possible that they have done the same to other customers as well.

The fence came out great, even though he had to juggle several unexpected hurdles along the way. He went above and beyond by temporarily setting a few posts so we could visualize the layout and make sure we'd have enough clearance to maneuver our trailer through the turns. Once we confirmed everything, he set the posts properly. During this process, we even discovered a hidden stump right where the fence needed to go, which would've caused an awkward bend. To top it off, that same evening an unexpected gully-washer of a storm hit our area, causing major washout. Despite all of this, Jeremy worked with us the next day to adjust the schedule and delay the fence completion. He also helped with additional property tasks that I wasn't able to handle myself. We paid him upfront for all fencing materials, and he was transparent from the start that there would be extra wood and some left over. Jeremy stayed in communication with us and returned a few weeks later and got things wrapped up. Overall, Jeremy was communicative, flexible, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire project. The person is to personable and lacks business professionalism when it comes to home repairs. More experience is needed in this department because people do not want a one to two day job at the max spanning multiple days, as if the job was being deliberately bleeding to get more money out of the customer. The only thing that was delivered out of the project was the reduction of the frame because it was stainless steel and needed to be cut other than that the customer should never have to assist in the job because the handyman did not know how to reinstall what was removed. The persons attention span to the job is very limited, had I not been called to keep him on track the job would still not be complete. The value he requested for the finished work was more than anyone should pay for his services. He never showed on the schedule he said and never updated anyone as to why or where he was, we were constantly having to call him. He charged for a plywood board that he said he had to cut in actuality it looked like he just went with a piece he found that was as close to the size he needed, shorter but he made it work. All parts and materials were provided he only had to cut metal and do the work and still I had to be involved to get the job done. For his in home handyman work I would look elsewhere and he should stick to outside work that requires less structural issues.
