Come for breakfast served 8-11 daily!! Super flavorful, fresh, and a good assortment of options for everyone. I especially liked their freshly squeezed juice options. The Avalon breakfast was huge, probably enough to split and the breakfast burrito was also a great choice to split, highly recommend enjoying breakfast poolside.

Very charming little restaurant located at the Avolon Hotel. Cozy, quiet and small. The food was just average but the service was exceptional. We would go back just for the excellent service. If you are staying at the hotel, the breakfast was better and the service just as amazing. Only downside is the parking.

Stopped in for a casual meal and it really delivered. The turkey bacon sandwich was simple but satisfying, with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The spicy cucumber margarita was the standout, refreshing with just the right kick. Service was quick and the atmosphere felt relaxed, perfect for an easy lunch or afternoon bite. Portions were solid and everything came out fast. It's a dependable spot when you want something tasty without a long wait or fuss.

Hands-down one of the best restaurants in Palm Springs, Chi Chi at the Avalon Hotel delivers every time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and cooked to order with incredible attention to detail. The ambiance is unbeatable--relaxed, stylish, and perfect for a laid-back afternoon or a dreamy evening under the palms. The service? Impeccable. Every visit is made better by the amazing staff--especially Jasmine, who always takes care of us poolside with the warmest smile and best service. Be sure to try the coconut drink--it's refreshing, tropical, and absolutely addictive. Whether you're a local or visiting, Chi Chi is a must. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for their restaurant week menu. Selected the roasted sweet potato and wedge salad to start. Both were very tasty. The one entree was salmon and the other was a broccoli steak (vegetarian). Both were very good. The restaurant was small, waiter was excellent, and the food was very good. There is a small bar - the ambiance is okay

    Inside

Restaurant was super cute and cozy. Loved the decor and vibes inside very cute. The service was great our waiter was super nice. We ordered the bread and butter I recommend it's like whipped butter very yummy. Also ordered the burrata toast it's the same bread as bread and butter so didn't need both but it was also very yummy had a unique yummy flavor. Also ordered the steak frites honestly not what you usually expect for steak frites it was very thick cuts of meat and pretty well done even though I wanted medium and it came cold it didn't seem like a skirt steak. Changed regular fries to waffle cut and def recommend the waffle fries were great Other than the steak everything was great and I'd definitely go back.

Food itself was good just a bit expensive. Great service delivering by the poolside, which was relaxing. Açaí bowl had so many great toppings on it like fruit and granola. I added salmon to the Cesar salad. Burrata and avocado toast was filling, added an egg.

We had a wonderful time dining here tonight. Bright, welcoming space, fantastic team, and absolutely delicious food. They have so many specials for different days of the week. I might just have to return for Margarita Mondays. They recognize locals, and I really appreciate that! Also, thanks Sarah for a wonderful experience!!

Stopped in today, and this is now one of our favorite little Palm Springs bars! It is small, intimate, but really cool vibe. Our bartender, John was the best, and struck up a wonderful conversation with an interesting couple from the UK who have lived here 40 yrs and been married 56 years! Chi Chi's has happy hour daily 3-6 pm. I had a Summer Sol cocktail w/ rose vodka, rose wine, mango boba (delightful), and a splash of soda - light and refreshing ($10) and a really tasty white sangria, not too sweet, w/ white wine, peach schnapps, rosemary simple syrup and lemon (just $8). My husband had the Garden Cooler cocktail w: gin, cucumber, basil and lime (very tasty, $10) and nice glass of Sonoma rose ($11). They also have apps - guac and salsa; truffle fries; crudite, ricotta gnocchi, Napa cabbage salad, fried chicken sliders and beef sliders, just $10-12. Loved it, and will definitely be returning!

Was in Palm Springs for my bachelorette party and stopped here for some tapas before going out. Definitely recommend ordering all the apps and sharing! Our favorites were the skewers, the gnocchi, and the truffle fries. The cherry on top was the PB&j cheesecake for dessert! Ambiance was great and it was the perfect weather to sit outside. Big shoutout to our server Alfredo who was so patient and kind!!! Will definitely be back next time I'm visiting Palm Springs.

Breakfast portions to share! The restaurant offers substitutions (Gluten Free and Vegan). Had the breakfast sandwiches. The GF bread didn't fall apart and held well with the spread and egg. A rare find for a sandwich. Pack a ton of flavor and served with two hash browns. Recommend mixing your hot sauce with ketchup for the perfect dip. Had the chilaquiles on day two of my visit. Really big portion. Would recommend sharing. Side salad and avocado are a great addition. Cold brew is from a can but they selected a great cold brew to offer. Ordered the green juice to go. Had a great flavor and tastes fresh. Servers are friendly and fast. Very clean location. The hotel and this restaurant are everything you hope for in a Palm Springs stay.

My fiancée and I dined at CHi CHi while staying in Palm Springs from LA. It's nice that it's in the Avalon, and tucked back from the main boulevard. Overall a little more quiet and intimate whether dining inside or outside (always nice to be by a pool). We had the chilaquiles, which were great by any standards. A nice spice level, tasty crema and loved the texture of the chips (not hard, not soggy, just right). I recommend getting the egg over easy so it binds everything together. Service was great, very laid back, attentive and friendly. Always love asking for their favorites. Extra points for having an espresso machine and fresh juices. Overall, a nice breath of fresh air and a good selection of different items for any dining mood.

The Avalon is such a cute hotel, I was looking forward to trying this place out. The service was top notch and they were always checking on us to make sure we weren't too cold and had what we needed. It's also fun to be sitting close to the pool. We started with the shrimp cocktail verde that had hearts of palm, celery, and a creamy old bay dressing. It was very good, just very small! I had avocado toast with a fried egg, which is normally pretty hard to mess up. There was a note about harissa spice on it, but it was swimming in it, way too much to taste good. Overall it was a pleasant environment but a little overpriced at $24 for an iffy avocado toast.

If you can't get a reservation, bar seats are first come, first served, and I can see why people line up for them. This was probably the most expensive meal of our trip, and at times you definitely feel it. A Belvedere martini with no vermouth for $27 made me laugh a little. This isn't Vegas. That said, much of the food was excellent. The Duck Liver Pâté was incredible, and the Red Thai Curry Mussels were unique without overwhelming heat. The Cacio e Pepe was one of the standout dishes of the week. Those thick noodles were fantastic. We also ordered the Steak Frites and upgraded to filet. Unfortunately, it came out overcooked, and I asked for it to be removed from the check. On the other hand, the Smoked Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop was perfectly prepared and incredibly moist. Dessert finished strong. The Aniston's Pavlova was excellent, especially the Chantilly cream. The warm chocolate chip cookies were delicious too, although $15 for cookies is definitely a Palm Springs moment. Pricey? Very. Worth experiencing? Absolutely.

Neil was welcoming, accommodating, and personally secured a table for our party of six when we returned after 9pm. His hospitality and the venue concept itself are excellent. Unfortunately, the service we received afterward from another staff member, Billy, did not match that standard. The venue is extremely dark, so we used the small table lamp to read the menu. Billy instructed us not to use it because it "wasn't the vibe of the establishment," and told us to use our phone lights instead. The tone was abrupt and dismissive. Around 9:50pm he announced last call. When one guest ordered, his response was, "I guess if you must." Others asked for a moment to decide and were repeatedly rushed. We explained we weren't aware they closed as 10, as Neil had told us it would be open seating after 10. He replied, "Yeah, well I'm closing tonight and I'm closing at 10." When drinks were delivered, they were set down forcefully. As we were leaving, a member of our group overheard Billy speaking negatively about us to another employee, including mocking someone in our group for needing glasses to read the menu and implying she was intoxicated (she wasn't). When this was addressed directly, he did not apologize and instead insisted we had overstayed, which is inaccurate. We ordered promptly after being told last call and left after finishing our drinks. We are locals who intentionally brought out-of-town guests here because we wanted them to have a great experience. It's disappointing that one staff member's conduct overshadowed what should have been a highlight of their visit. I won't assign motives, but I will note that Billy's demeanor noticeably shifted after the final member of our group, who happens to be Black, arrived. I cannot determine why, only that the change in tone was clear. Neil has created something special here. However, a venue's reputation ultimately depends on how guests are treated when ownership is not present. Based on this visit, there is a significant gap between the hospitality the owner provides and the service delivered in his absence. I hope Neil takes a close look at what happens when he's not present, because with the right staff, this could easily be a place we'd want to return to.

It caught our attention as we had stayed in two different Kimpton Hotels in Seattle prior. We wanted to grab a drink at the Window Bar (not knowing that was its actual name, but the conversation we had with the bartender about that window shining too much light at certain parts of the morning definitely gave me a chuckle in hindsight). We happened to be a bit early since he had not been able to finish setting up shop yet. We went ahead and waited until he was ready without rushing him because we ourselves weren't in any rush at all. Surrounded by a ton of nice interesting artwork, it was a pure joy to enjoy a drink or two in this environment. The bar can be found at the corner on the other side of the hotel concierge in plain sight from such a big space for a lobby, directly left upon entrance through the front. Since it was slow in the morning, we were able to chat it up with the bartender and even explore a bit of experimentation in the form of a particular top secret cocktail that every mixologist knows. I definitely exercised my etiquette and reading the conditions to even suggest it. He couldn't be any nicer about our time with him. So yeah, Christopher H. from 9/9/18, I don't know what you're talking about. I make it a point to visit the bar at any Kimpton location nowadays. I always seem to have a good time. But then again, I can only speak for myself. Parking: Street, unless you're a guest at the hotel. FYI: - Despite the hours on Yelp saying this place is open from 4-10pm, they might open earlier, as we joined in at around 11am or noon. But don't hold me to it. If there's somebody at the bar, you'll need to simply ask if it is open yet.
