I was in the Fairfield Shopping Center and came across Chi Chop. When you first walk in, you're greeted right away, and they offer plenty of seating. I ordered the General Tso's chicken, fried oysters, spring rolls, and the Ninja Crispy Chicken XL. All the food was good, but my favorite was definitely the Ninja Crispy Chicken XL. The prices were reasonable as well. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere and plenty of space to sit. If you're in the area, I recommend giving Chi Chop a try.

This place is very close to where I live but I haven't ventured out to try until today. I ordered via Yelp online ordering. It was easy and quick. By the time I got there my order was ready. The place is clean and cozy. There were a couple of people who opted to sit enjoy their meal, I ordered the house combination with salt pepper and yum yum sauce. It was delicious, crispy and well seasoned. Yum Yum sauce was good, more like mayo mixed with...??

Finally tried this place! It was okay. The inside is a little basic, but it's very clean! I ordered the lunch special hibachi beef with noodles and soup. The soup never happened though and this was a little disappointing. The hibachi beef was decent and it was a massive portion. The service was decent. I don't think I'd go back though. I think I'm good.

My dad and I found this on a whim and honestly has become a place we go to often. The place and almost always empty when we go but dont let that fool you, they do alot of take out. The woman who's at the front is very quiet but sweet. Takes your order, very attentive. They bring you a Miso to start which tastes great. Then your app if you order one and then food. The fried rice is one of the best I've found in the area. The shrimps are BIG. And their yum yum sauce is great. Overall the food is very tasty and well cooked. They have had some off days but the better ones outway the off ones. I do wish their vegetables had more variety, especially if you're vegetarian ordering a vegetable hibachi. But aside from that I really enjoy the place.

Food is so delish!! The servings are also huge! The service is great, the lady working there is super sweet. Only thing that could improve is just overall set up/theme of the place, there isn't really much of a welcoming vibe. But, the food and service is great!

This place reminds me of being back in Japan. Miso soup is top tier! Service is quick and friendly. Excellent prices. Cute lil restaurant. One of my fav places to eat.

We came 30 min before they close and we were greeted like a good guest. The lady was very nice and very helpful. The place is well arranged. Good spacing and not crowding. It's clean and neat. We ordered and they were quick to make our orders. We can hear them cooking and the smell makes me hungry already. We got the food fast and they look so good. The food is so good. So fresh and tasty. I love the fried Calamari with that white sauce. The fried chicken is perfect. I love how plump and juicy the fried chicken is. We are definitely coming back. Thanks chichop.

Chi Chop is a unique lil place with BIG PORTIONS! Like LOOK at that chicken. That piece of fried chicken with delicious spices IS BIGGER THAN MY FACE. And look at the perfection of the Rangoons. The shape, fried perfectly, creamy inside. Not a lot of places have mastered the rangoon, but Chi Chop sure has. I do wish there was a Thai chili sauce rather than the duck sauce. But it's still good. The curry rice is nice, honestly tastes like Golden curry packets. But you can't go wrong with that. Their fried rice is also super yummy. The chicken is very tender, and the ratios of sauces is perfect. The rice has a deep complex flavor which I love. Overall, super nice staff and super good food. Easy to get take out! The only place in town that has such a large and beautiful fried chicken slab!

I've been going to Chi Chop since they opened in their last location in 2019. If there's any place I would recommend others for some really good Asian food after a Sunday Service, food before work, lunch break, family dinner-- It would be Chi Chop. One of the owners, Amy is one of the sweetest people I know & she really remembers her costumers from the back of her head. When I come in, she would ask if I want my original order which is Samurai Crispy Chicken combo with TWO Yam yam sauce. NO vegetables & miso soup as my side. I would add in Mango Calpis soda with mango popping boba from time to time. No other business remember's my exact order like Amy does! They have lunch specials that varies from $8-$13 which is so hard to beat! The atmosphere in this place is very chill. If I need to wind down before or after work or need to do some work on my iPad, I would come here. It's definitely my safe, food place to go to. They definitely upgraded the place from their last location & i'm so proud of how this business has come since 2019. They deserve all the love because their food here is amazing!!! Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention... they are closed EVERY Tuesday.

Taste is great- reminds me of popcorn chicken. Portions are usually alright but this last time the presentation of the calamari plate was underwhelming. Also, they advertise as a meal that comes with vegetables and soup but you only get 2 broccoli florets and no soup.

    Deliciousness on a plate.

I stopped here on a whim because I wanted fried chicken, but I didn't want to have fried chicken from your typical KFC, Hardees, or Popeyes types of place. Also, I wanted to try a new spot in the area, and Chi Chop was in the direction of my final destination. For my dining pleasure, I had a crispy chicken combo with minced meat rice. While everything was pretty good, I was not blown away by the food. Perhaps, I've eaten too much Korean- and Tawainese-style fried chicken over the past few years. While I was not blown away by my meal, it definitely was good enough for me to visit again when I have a fried chicken craving. Although the restaurant appears to be take-out, they have about 7/8 tables for dining in. The service was great and fast. Since this was my first time at Chi Chop, I was very happy that the cashier took some time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Also, the price of my meal was pretty much in line with other places in the area.

Chicken hibachi with fried rice. It came with miso soup as well.

I called earlier in the day to see if we should make reservations, but was told they wouldn't be busy. Well, we got there and while they had plenty of tables at 6:30PM, but 7PM that place was completely packed! They had lots of carry-out orders happening too, which all made the kitchen a little slow. We ordered many dishes to share and all started coming out one after another over the next hour until the beef & broccoli was the last dish. Again, I attribute the slowness of the kitchen to their being so busy. At least all the food that came out was very fresh, tasty, and piping hot. Some interesting items that were quite good were their potatoes and green peppers. This dish is something I've never seen before but was pretty good! It features long julienned potatoes that they clearly soak in water before wok'ing with the peppers - that was all that was in the dish, but it was still tasty. Their Fish in Chili Oil & Bean Sprouts was really tasty and fresh! The fish is flounder. Their spicy wontons in chili oil were very popular with our group too. Service here was friendly too and helpful. Like I said, we tried many items, so many more than I just outlined and all were nice. I'd definitely return for a slightly more elevated Chinese menu from what you get at the typical Chinese-American joints.

My family and I (5 people) came in to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday dinner and there was nobody but us in the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the server. He was dressed in jeans, hooded sweatshirt, a beanie and had a toothpick in his mouth. A bit out of the ordinary but to each their own for proper attire in what I would deem a upscale-ish restaurant. The real issue was him taking our order, seemed rushed. As we were deliberating and figuring out what we wanted. My girlfriend was talking about the scallion bubble pancakes. He came over and said, "I overheard you said the scallion pancakes, did you want to put in that order?" My girlfriend said no, she wanted everything to come out all at once. He said ok and then we walked off. Next thing we know, the pancakes came out WAY ahead of everything else we ordered. By like 15 minutes at least. When my girlfriend said something about it, the waiter said, he said outright " I never heard her say not to order them, she never said anything, and they are out right now". No apology, no I'll go ahead and fix that...nothing. When we we on the way out, we talked to the owner about the experience and the only thing he mentioned was that, the server was new and it's hard to find good employees because they revolve so quickly. Which wasn't really an answer at all. It was definitely a 180 degree turn from the first experience we had here which was 5 stars all around. I think given the experience, we unfortunately won't be coming back
