"Abalu" had been carved out of steel in large letters. I was afraid to stand on the wrong part out of fear of bending it. Plus the shower was in the corner of the bedroom on carpet with a swinging glass door. For the value and location it worked for my husband and I. And as I said the staff was lovely, but if you are looking to spend a little more time in your room, it may not be the place for you.

Not sure where to start. The jacuzzi in our room took three days any and having to ask five times to have it repaired. Once it was repaired we could not get hot water, actually during the week we only had real hot water three days. Dilapidated shower curtain, light fixtures hanging out of the ceiling, this place may haver been trendy at one time, now it's only trashy. I had forgotten an adapter for my phone charger, and they saved me a trip around the neighborhood searching for a store, by having one for purchase. The breakfast buffet is large, varied and tasty. My room is clean, modern and has all the amenities I could ask for, including convenient toiletries and the shower gel smells lovely. The WiFi is fast and free. The surrounding area is not very interesting and the view isn't arresting, but since I'm taking the train tomorrow to Sarria, it ticks all the boxes.

Breakfast was standard Euro fare, included in our room rate. Rooms were tidy and well appointed, great shower. My room had a balcony overlooking the great outdoor pool area. In the warm weather, it would be a great place to relax. Walking distance to many restaurants and a huge shopping center. Wifi was great, although it did not work for about a day and a half of the 6 day stay.

The room layout was a little weird but not a big deal for me since it had all that I needed including a minibar. A desk would have been nice, but I was OK with just a comfy chair and table. The bathroom was spacious, with a big shower and bidet, hair dryer and toiletries. You also get nice robes and slippers. My only concern was the entrance to the gym since you must go out a door, take some stars out in the open before getting there so make sure you have a sweater. I visited during restoration, so the elevator wasn't going to the last floor, and you had to use the stairs. I didn't mind the climb since that was a great warm up, but things were still in construction, and it was dark and dusty so not the best first impression. The gym itself was great, they had water, apples, extra towels and a good selection of machines and weights. The gym is located at the top of the building, so you get a nice view of the Neptune fountain. I'm guessing this is all temporary and it will be fixed soon. Good experience overall!

There is a bar but I did not check it out because there were so many other cool places to have a drink in the neighborhood. Plenty of cava on hand to start the day right. The room assigned was very nice and everything worked correctly.
