When I changed my mind and decided I didn't want to leave God out of our wedding, I said that I would pay for and find the officiant. I admit I didn't shop around. My wedding planning approach was one and done. Once I found something I liked, I was done "shopping." I liked that Rev. Phil offered a free intro session before committing to his services. After the first one hour meeting, my husband also liked him and we were sold. We did the full package and I'd recommend it. The love story was definitely the best part of the service. It's true what the other reviewers said, people talked about that love story for weeks and months after the wedding. We were willing to make fun of ourselves and this really helped carry-off the fun of the story. Rev. Phil has a great knack for telling a story. Everyone was laughing, including us. So many of our pictures show me looking around to the crowd laughing at my ridiculous self and trying to make eye contact with someone mentioned in the story. We were also able to incorporate a touching candle-lighting memorial for my husband's deceased parents, as well as readings that were a mix of religious and secular. Rev. Phil is very detail-oriented and will give you explicit instructions and details about each part of the service. I found this helpful, as I didn't want to worry about all the details myself. As he says, he's the professional and will take the stress of this part of the wedding off of you. As a bonus, I heard he even "fooled" by super-Catholic mom by wearing his collar. No grief for no Catholic wedding! Rev. Phil really helped make our wedding a perfect, unique and special night! I'd recommend him to anyone!

I was told my review of Jennifer Fox Weddings wasn't fair by the company, so I've taken some time…read moreto simply outline what occurred during my wedding weekend. I hired this company based on its positive reviews. This was my experience: * Hair and makeup setup requirements were not communicated to the hotel staff. Requests for chairs and mirrors were never relayed, and my mother had to scramble the morning of the wedding to accommodate everyone. * Room numbers were not provided to the hair and makeup vendors. I had to send that information myself. This included texts and calls the morning of my wedding! * My makeup artist got lost and attempted to contact our planner for assistance but could not reach her. I was the one providing directions and room information to the vendor over the phone on my wedding morning! * Our planner heavily emphasized the importance of managing guest allergies and told us she would personally check in with guests regarding accommodations before dinner. This did not happen. During dinner, two guests approached me at the sweetheart table asking whether their allergies would be accommodated. * Our planner arrived approximately 40 minutes- an hour late to the rehearsal on Friday. Because the venue was close to closing, we began without her, and I ended up running my own rehearsal and processional. (If i was a planner I would be 30 minutes early, on time is late. Being 30+ minutes late after the start time is unacceptable.) * I was immediately told by the planner that she had been downstairs attempting to gain access the entire time she was late. Based on information from members of our wedding party who were waiting for her, that was not the case. We had people waiting for her. We had a lost phone being found outside during that time. She was not there. * During our first dance, she was seated in the background next to the DJ, slouched over, visibly scrolling on her phone. The bright screen is clearly visible in our first dance video. * Throughout the weekend, I received multiple complaints about her from members of the wedding party. * There were repeated errors in the wedding timeline, which was not finalized and distributed until the day before the wedding. Too many things were cut too close to the final few days before. * When the timeline was finally sent, multiple family members contacted my husband and me because bridal party members had been omitted, times were incorrect, and other information contained errors. These are the events as I experienced them. Others may have had different experiences, but this was mine.

Jenny is more much than a coordinator. My mom had a small stroke about 6 weeks before our wedding…read more Jenny went from day-of-coordinator to a life raft. I will never forget, after sending her the email explaining my mom's situation, Jenny calling me almost immediately - literally just offering her ear. After letting me express all my fears, tears, and anxieties - she got to work. She encouraged me to take a beat to feel all the feelings, and then insisted we have another call a day or two later so I could "brain dump" everything wedding on her. Jenny was able to take that unorganized, jumbled mess of a phone call and spit out a highly detailed, actionable, and prioritised to-do list that broke down not only what I had to do, my husband had to do, but she took on things that MY MOM was supposed to do. I cannot tell you how much this was appreciated - it makes me teary eyed just thinking about her kindness and how she went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was a spot of brightness and hope amongst the dark weeks leading up to it. Sure enough, my mom recovered beautifully - was not only AT the wedding, but dancing a speech-giving with the best of them. Thank you, Jenny, for believing that would be so - getting us to the finish line and just overall being a wonderful human.

Jenny from Blue Moon Events was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding…read more Although we hired her for a day-of coordination package, the support she gave us in the months leading up to the big day was absolutely invaluable. Her regular check-ins kept us on track, she helped us stay organized, and she personally recommended nearly all of our amazing vendors. She also constantly made sure we were doing okay and offered help wherever she could. She truly went above and beyond. When the wedding day arrived, Jenny and her husband Jeff took over and everything went off without a hitch. We didn't have to stress about a single thing, which meant the world to my wife and me. We were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment thanks to them. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone. She is a total pro and an absolute joy to work with. 1000% worth it
