The menu offers an impressive array of dishes including many seafood offerings which are the speciality of this fabulous restaurant. Traditional dishes of the region are on offer like the thick pasta with boar meat that I ordered. My only regret is that I didn't bring a second stomach to fill with more delicious food. I highly recommend Il Torrione and hope that I will be able to return someday on a future visit to Italy.

We elected to eat in the cozy upstairs dining room, but we offered outside seating. The large screen TV was playing a concert from the national orchestra. Our guy was very interested in the concert and explained some of the components. It was very interesting. The two mains were delicious! We had a half liter of house white and a half liter of rosso. Both were locally sourced and spot on. $52 got us out the door! The prices in all of Tuscany for food is so much lower than the states. Expect to pay half in a restaurant and 1/3 less in grocery stores.

Pizza was very good but a lot of cheese. There is a large number of options. Good beer on tap and reasonably priced food and wine. We had a wonderful server named Federico. She was kind, attentive and patient with us not knowing Italian. She spoke English very well. Seating is mostly outdoor but alongside the road. Great for our first pizza in Italy. They were doing a lot of takeout business on a Sunday, too.

But this place is legit. I was able to sneak in, order a pizza and sneak out in a matter of minutes without my party knowing. Best part? This pizza friggin legit.
