You can eat inside or outside at this place and it has classic decor with great music. The food and atmosphere gives off that fun feeling of being at an amusement park. In NOLA poboy bread is good for one day and goes stale so then it is used to make bread pudding. The big poboy bread bakeries in NOLA have started to ship out their bread to other places and somehow have found a way to keep it fresh longer but it still just seems you can't get that same fresh poboy bread experience anywhere outside of NOLA. The ambiance of Gold Post is till 1970's fantastic with nothing being changed from the way I remember it as a kid so that is always nostalgic. The service at Gold Post is fast food style where you order at the counter but they do clean your table. Overall this is a decent joint and one of the few poboy spots in Hattiesburg, MS.
