The service at this location is beginning to fall off, and has been declining for the past couple of months! The service at this location is as bad as the McDonald's on Dempsetr and Dodge in Evanston. Chik-fil-a has only gotten my order wrong twice in my life, and both times were at this location. The other day, they had me park in a parking spot to wait for my order and there were no other cars in the drive -thru. I love the bright sunlight that enters through all the windows. It was quick service and our meal was nice and good. I love almost everything on the menu. This Chick-Fil-A was just opened by my office so I went for lunch this week. All-in-all it was a good experience. The employees were friendly and my food was well made. I got the chicken cool wrap and it hit the spot - one of their healthier options and it was filling. They do get super busy here over the lunch hour - I suspect that's because it's new and right by the Old Orchard Shopping Center - but nonetheless you'll be waiting in line for a while if you come around that time. read more

The only reason I come to this location is the convenience. Other than that, I'll stick with the one downtown. They always screw up my daughter's kiddie meals. Last night their nuggets caused my toddler to cut the roof of her mouth. She was completely turn off by them after the fact I tried to hydrate them with their Polynesian sauce, which she likes but she was too scared after the fact. They were hard as a freaking rock and so small they looked and get like turds. The downtown location give you actual nuggets NOT turds... I drove all the way to this location as it is the closest location near my place. I decided to use the drive thru, and it started out as a typical Chick-Fil-A experience. I ordered my food, and drove around to the drive thru window. I approached the window and proceeded to give the cashier my phone so that she may see that I have a free cookie thru Yelp. The young lady "mistakenly" erase my coupon for my free cookie, and did not take any ownership of her mistake. She called over her Ill informed manager to the window, and he began to debate with me that Chick-Fil-A does not accept offers from Yelp. After going back and fourth with the guy, I told them to take the cookie off my order. I went ahead and paid for the rest of my order. This Chick-fil-A opened yesterday and I decided to try them out. This was my first time at any Chick-fil-A and I used the drive-thru. Access to the drive-thru was confusing and took two trips around the block before I found the entrance. This can be partially attributed to ongoing construction in the area. However, they packed a lot of buildings into a small parcel of land--that fact remains constant. There are two lanes for ordering, but they converge into one for paying and picking up your food. There were two employees outside of the ordering kiosk taking orders using a tablet. The order taker was very friendly and provided nice banter. Rather than receiving a paper ticket, they ask your name. When you reach the pickup window they addressed me by name several times in a friendly manner. I tried their basic chicken sandwich ($3.49) and waffle fries ($1.79). I never saw a menu, but just wanted to try their basic sandwich. I was offered a selection of sauces, including the house, honey-mustard blend, but declined. I was surprised to find the sandwich only consisted of a bun and a battered and deep fried chicken piece. There was no lettuce, tomato, pickle or mayo. The sandwich was good, but would have been better with the extras. There was no shortage of salt! I brought my meal home, so I added some Dijon mustard to spice it up a bit. The waffle fries were good, but I would have liked them cooked a little more. I'll probably be back again at some point for the convenience of the drive-thru. I'll be sure to read the menu and see what else is available. However, I'd rather eat a grilled chicken sandwich from Grecian Kitchen on Dempster. read more

After I put my order in, as my father was about to put his in, he cut us off and gave us the total. You're supposed to ask if there's anything else. Drive thru 101. Then, we had to read our order back to him SEVERAL times. I specifically asked for a chicken and egg biscuit meal with NO CHEESE. I mentioned NO CHEESE 6 times. I even confirmed with the girl at the window NO CHEESE. The receipt on the sandwich wrapper even said NO CHEESE. What do I find when I get to work......a Chicken and Cheese Biscuit with No Egg. Perhaps instead of the mean-mugging me the whole-time, the girl packing the food could be a bit more cautious and check the orders? This crap never happened when the red-head employee worked drive-thru. She was very attentive and made sure the customer had a great experience. Won't be coming back, they are too careless now. I won't go through all the details but today I ordered through drive thru, I didn't receive my sauces (after asking at the window and the server assured me it was in there. Great food, great service- many choices in condiments, and a clean environment, I have nothing to complain about. Located in Skokie, I went on a Saturday morning for a quick lunch and there were many families around. The kids meal was such a good deal. There's a playroom for little ones but we didn't try it out so not sure if kids have fun(?) or not. Love that they provide disposable placemats for toddlers. I just ate there for my first and last time today, in Skokie, IL. Man does it suck! I made the mistake of ordering 8 grilled nuggets for a total of $6.01 (tax included) and it was anything but worth it. I don't see why people flock to this miserable dump, with little to no parking. You just need to go back to the counter. They offer a free breakfast items during certain times. You'd need to visit to find out which dates and what items. Let's not forget we're talking about a fast food place here, but Chick-Fil-A has a reputation for serving higher quality fast food with service that is orders of magnitude better than any competitor. That's true of every location I've visited, but this particular one seems to be slipping. Lately it's rare to get a takeout order that's 100% correct. The latest: two of the four sandwiches were wrong (spicy instead of regular, but in the regular packaging; this sounds like kitchen error instead of front-of-house), a missing side, and two of four drinks wrong. A dine-in order at least gives the opportunity to correct an error, but that means dealing with a staff that doesn't seem to be trained up to the usual Chick-Fil-A standards. read more

The customer service here whether it's inside, or drive thru is great. I have no issue with that. The food is OK. The waffle fries is sometimes too salty, and the chocolate shake isn't the greatest. You're better off going to Culver's across the way. What upsets me is my order tonight on Halloween. I'm eating then all of a sudden I see a piece of plastic!!!! It's true its just a chicken sandwich, simple menu with nothing much on it. So when they built a location just a few miles from home I checked it out again. Waited about 30 min in the drive-thru, yes you read that right. The food was good, I thought. But then in the next 10 days for some reason I made 2 more spots. I must admit Chick-Fil-A is not worth a 30 min drive--thru wait, but it is pretty good. This is a very nice addition to the Skokie area. I am married to a man who grew up in the south. One memory from his childhood is Chik-fil-A which he craves on a regular basis. When one opened up last week, he was insisting on going. It looked like a zoo from the outside (and it was), but the inside was a well oiled machine. I was borderline hangry so I was impatient. They made the wait bearable by handing out these amazing warm chocolate chip cookie samples. We easily found a seat. The service was incredibly energetic and polite - a big improvement from places like McDonalds. Staff regularly came to our table asking if we would like refills on our drinks. The chicken sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. It was fresh, hot, and juicy. The sandwich is meant to be simple. You can pay a little extra for lettuce, tomato, and cheese, but I did not see the value. The fries were not remarkable. We did order a chocolate chip cookie to share, and it was perfect - warm, gooey, and delicious.I look forward to coming here more often and trying their other offerings. read more

I've seen long lines for the drive-thru, even with two ordering stations, so they'll likely need to improve their efficiency there. Also, when the line inside gets long there isn't a good space for it to extend into. Furthermore, the station to get cutlery, sauces, ketchup, etc. is a bit cramped and the layout often causes customers to walk into each other. AMBIANCE: 4 stars Because it's brand new, it's obviously clean. But there has also been good attention to lighting and colors within the store, making for a pleasant dining experience. The reclaimed wood table serves as a beautiful centerpiece for the dining area and is a nice touch that they definitely didn't have to add. It definitely adds warmth to the room. The line to order here yesterday (first week open) was insane. We took a booth and the line snaked around us and people hovered over us while we were eating. Food was standard fare. It was hard to get back to the counter because of the crowds for a drink refill but a worker came over and got it for me. Today was my first experience trying your food. I ordered a simple chicken sandwich,spicy with only pickle. I was really hoping for what I would call a more crunchy experience. What I got, seemed to me was a little bag with a chicken sandwich in it, that happened to do spicy, that was shoved in a microwave and heated before it was given to me.
