There is great support from the teachers, and everyone is so welcoming and kind, no wonder my daughter no longer suffers from school anxiety like she used to in public school. They help her to reach her full potential, according to her individual needs/special circumstances, and without the unnecessary stress and unhealthy pressure that is common in many schools. So my daughter can finally have caring one-on-one support when needed but they also provide the flexibility that our family needs for her to be able to work virtually. This is her second year here and it is going so well. When I was in middle school and high school, I went to a few different independent/home studies schools. My daughter also attended one in Orange County before we moved to Chico. I did research on the Core program offered in Chico as well before deciding on Pivot. Out of all these independent studies/home schools - Pivot is my favorite by far, they really nailed it, and my daughter is happy! We are so grateful to have found it!

My daughter had previously struggled academically at another local public school. We had the opportunity to speak with Mr.Free about her difficulties, in which he in turn explained the possibilities for her at Ipakanni. She started school at Ipakanni the very next week. Because of the school's model, my daughter has had the opportunity to complete two history books in just two months. She is on target to graduate next year, which is a year earlier than if she were in a typical public school. Now, I obviously owe a huge (loving) thumbs up! to my daughter who has taken responsibility for her education, but I'd also like to thank Ipakanni for being there and giving students an opportunity to excel and succeed.
