However they have now been bought out by Ned Stevens and the service is very poor - they just showed up one day without letting me know they were coming, and they just tossed the debris onto the ground into our gardens, and were running around with the leaf blower disturbing the garden when I arrived home. I had Ray come out and do a cleaning and assessment as well as a repair to my home. He charged $300 for the assessment and $500 for a repair. Both of these seemed fine to me. However, we conducted work in early November, and we not once talked about timing or leaves coming down from the trees. Now, a 4 weeks later, my gutters are full of leaves again. Being a first time homeowner, I didn't think to ask but assumed that I was in good hands. I called back to ask about this today, and Dominic (a nice enough guy) mentioned that the team is supposed to have a discussion with clients about when is the right time to do this repair work, as well as the fact that they typically do a discounted revisit in circumstances like this. He mentioned he would check with Ray, the owner, and get back with a resolution. 30m later, he called with news that they would be willing to come back for the full price of a cleaning and there wasn't anything he would do to make this right. So, neither of the things promised happened. I was left with feeling like I was cheated out of some money because he saw an opportunity during his low season, and even though it would have made sense to do the work later, he saw a chance to make some quick money now and leave me with the bag. Disappointing and I'll be going somewhere else. Would advise others to be careful of Ray and his team. Beware.

John, the very capable owner was on the job the whole time, considered my input and could have been an Artist. In July 2022, we finally accepted that we needed to spend serious $$$ on a comprehensive driveway and drainage project to protect our home. Numerous quotes from drainage and flood professionals were either epic town-scale projects, or tone-deaf installations of products we didn't need. Alex was recommended to me by a neighbor as WAY more than a paving guy. On our first meeting, I appreciated that he is a relaxed, clear-headed professional, who actually listened to my problems, and asked questions, rather than barrel into the answer he saw fit. We spent a few days exchanging emails and calls to determine a project that would resolve the problem, and meet our preferences. He ultimately devised an elegant solution that consisted of multiple stages of flood mitigation. We were most impressed at his pricing - as a general contractor with the right tools and skilled team members to hand, Alex could offer sensible pricing under one contract. As the final project was logically elegant and simple, he kept the total cost under control, without unnecessary additional equipment or destruction (one contractor had wanted to charge double Alex's final invoice just to rip up the lawn and install a completely redundant water tank). Alex's team all wear the same t-shirt uniform, they are tidy, polite, well presented and ALL of them knew the timeline and next steps - when I asked for an update, if Alex wasn't there, they could ALL provide an acceptable answer. When I commended him on this, he noted that he ONLY hires guys he trusts and works with regularly. The work was meticulous, clean and done to perfection - and I am a cynical obsessive compulsive. On completion, I noticed one of the edging stones was missing its cement - Alex was mortified by the oversight, and came out himself that evening to remedy. He kept me updated throughout the project, and was a pleasure to deal with, even sharing handouts on appropriate future care of the driveway and drainage system. I can't recommend him and the team enough - our new driveway and defense mechanism is gorgeous.
