CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA MATER DOMINI (Known San Marco Church) is an ancient and monumental church located in open countryside, between the hill dominated by the town of Ponzano and another hill where in medieval times were perched houses of "Castrum S. Mariae Matris Domini ", the lower bunk of Fermo. The church dominates the view to the long-range severity of Romanesque architecture and grandeur of towering tower facade. The construction of 'building dates back to the mid-twelfth century. Built of brick, it is stated for the simplicity and grandeur of the mass basilica with three naves, ending in three apses, with raised presbytery. the outside is all Romanesque also; the tower, with the sixteenth century characters, stands on the median body of the facade.
