I love anything that's a build-your-own concept (Chipotle, Cava, etc.) so I was really excited to find this place. You build your own Korean bento and the amount of banchan they have for you to choose from is amazing. You start off by picking either white rice, purple rice, or greens (or a mix of two), then your choice of protein (one or two), and then five banchans. The banchan changes every week so there's always something new. The bento also comes with a seaweed soup, your choice of sauce, and pack of seaweed on the side. Everything was so flavorful and felt homemade. I would definitely come back!
I've recently been seeing this on my TikTok and it looked so delicious I bookmarked it to try one day. They just had their grand opening and my boyfriend has been wanting to try purple rice so I thought this would be the perfect option. I absolutely love their packaging and the concept of building your own box to your liking. It's such a perfect box to bring on a picnic! All the banchans were delicious. They have a variety of options to choose from so I can't wait to go back and try their other options for the box and all the other items on their menu.

You build your own dosirak box, which will come with rice, soup, several side dishes and 1-2 protein options - total of 7 options to eat with rice (meaning behind their name) There are tables available for customers to dine in, otherwise, food is served in packed in to-go dosirak box. For the price, you are getting a lot of food. I did come here near closing time so some of the options were sold out for the day. I love that they plan on having different side dishes each week. That will definitely get customers to want to come back to try different combos of dosirak. Food overall was nice, felt closer to home cooking like I've mentioned, however there are some notes to take here to improve for the grand opening: *Their fried dishes were dry and hard. I am keeping in mind that I am eating food that probably has been sitting for a while and they weren't going to be frying fresh food at the end of the day. The flavor is nice but as someone who has TMJ, I could not finish the bacon rice cake and the spicy fried chicken - it was too hard for me to chew. I would avoid eating fried items when coming in close to closing hour. *Having the sauce option was nice, but it felt unnecessary to use it for the most part since almost all of my dishes were seasoned. The sauce is nice to have if you get grilled salmon and/or tofu steak, but you don't really need it for the rest. Everything else was solid, I would like to still come back for another try, perhaps for lunch next time to see if the quality would be a lot better during prime hours. I'd rather come here if I want dosirak though because I'm tired of the same dosiraks from Korean markets that are also mediocre in taste. It's still a great option to have to get the full package here that you'd have from a Korean household.
This Korean spot has a casual fast-food style setup, but the food comes out surprisingly fresh and well-prepared. I liked how you can fully customize your meal by choosing your own main dish and side dishes, and they also offer separately ordered hot side dishes that are cooked fresh instead of just the usual cold vegetable banchan. It makes the meal feel a little more personal and fun compared to typical fast casual places. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived quickly. The overall taste felt clean and healthier than many Korean restaurants since you can skip the rice and load up on greens instead. It's a good option if you want Korean food without feeling overly heavy afterward. The rice cake dish was probably my least favorite though. It was oddly both too spicy and too sweet at the same time, so the balance felt a little overwhelming. Other than that, it's a convenient and satisfying place for a quick Korean meal.

You can pay extra $2 for salmon but they have a good selection of meat/proteins that are included in the price, rice or salad and 5 sides so you can try a little bit of everything.

At first glance, I didn't think I would get full but with the five banchan (aka side dishes) combined with the protein and rice, it's actually very filling. The spicy pork was pretty tender. The diced fried soy chicken had goid flavor. I would order both of these à la cart if they had that option. All the banchan tasted fresh. The soup that comes with it was a little on the salty side. The spicy soy sauce went well with the things I ordered. The frozen yuzu drink was a little on the sweet side. The servers were very friendly and at the end of the day, I would definitely go back.
As someone who moved from korea craving home cooked food, i was so satisfied with the quality and service here. the ladies who worked here were so sweet and the food actually tasted like korea or even better. I know that korean food in general requires a lot of effort prepping and cooking, and the price is not bad at all considering the fact that i can get such a big variety and have options. Great spot to grab a quick lunch ! the portions were big so i will be saving some for dinner. Everything was clean and sanitary.

this is such a good lunch spot to go after class for csuf students! it's $16 to build your own bento and it comes with rice, 2 proteins, 5 side dishes, sea weed, and sauce. i think for the amount you get it's so filling and a really delicious meal. they update their side dishes every week so there is always something new to try. their green grape soda is also very delicious...

5/5 Chilban in Fullerton is basically Korean Chipotle and I am here for it! You pick your protein (all the classic KBBQ options), choose purple or white rice, load up on up to FIVE sides -- the chap chae, kimchi, oi kimchi, and whatever else they have are all fresh and flavorful. It all comes packed nicely in a bento box with a bowl of warm myuk kuk (seaweed soup) on the side. Super fast, ridiculously friendly staff who greet you when you walk in and say goodbye when you leave. The food is delicious every time and the portions are generous for the price -- seriously great value. If you want quick, healthy, tasty Korean food without the wait, this is your spot. I saw so many social media videos of this new Korean spot in Fullerton. This Korean style Bento box experience. We got 3 build your plate ($15.99). It comes with seaweed soup. Seasoned seaweed package comes with each plate. First, we chose a base: white rice , purple rice or salad. You can get 2 as a half portion. Second, choose a protein or 2 half of the proteins. Salmon was extra and comes with the sweet sauce. Third, choose any 5 Banchan. Fourth, we get a free sauce. We ordered extra: spicy Tteobokki (Rice Cake) and Tuna Kimbap. We did not order any drinks. Finally tried it !!! Attempted first time on a Sunday, but they are closed on Sundays. Came back again on a Tuesday night; no line and quick service. Think Chipotle of Korean food. Generous portions, lots of selections and great customer service. read more
If you check their Instagram they post each week what the sides and soup would be. Loved my meal. You can choose your rice, sides and protein. Definitely recommend if you want a home cooked meal or want to try different side dishes. read more

First time coming here. First walking in it was very clean and bright which I loved. It was also very friendly the warm welcoming created good vibes. Food was great, traditional Korean food. You get choice of between 3 different rice. You can choose 1 or 2 main dish out of 7 and then you get to choose 5 banchan, this was my favorite part I love banchan and this was awesome. I also love how they give you free dry seaweed in the package that you can eat with your rice FREE! Over all I would definitely come back and recommend this place. read more

Good service, clean and organized! The bento boxes are big and customizable and I think its worth it for the money- although most of the food was cold. I tried most of the menu trom this week, and IMO the bulgogi, fish cakes, and meat patties were the best, along with the kimbap. The japchae was a bit too chewy but overall the quality and quantity of the food for the price is good! read more

The prices are good and portion as well. Was excited to try this place last Saturday after following them on insta. But one of the sides dishes tasted spoiled and not fresh. I'm Korean so i know how jaochae is supposed to taste. It tasted like it was at least a day old. And jaochae is not something you want to eat when it's not freshly made that day. I might try this place again because my boyfriend wants to try it but I'm staying away from japchae from there from now on. It was disgusting. read more

It's hard to find a banchan spot that doesn't taste overly processed or like it's packed with MSG. As someone who grew up eating Korean food, I can tell right away when something tastes homemade and this place really does! It feels like the kind of food my mom would make, with love and real recipes behind it! And they change their banchan menu every week. They also give SO much food, I almost felt bad taking it all because the portions are huge for the price. On top of that, everyone there is genuinely kind and welcoming. Honestly these are the kinds of small businesses you should be supporting. I'm just really glad a place like this exists in Fullerton. I'll definitely keep coming back and telling friends and family. I visited this Korean bento place today and was pleasantly surprised for how generous the food as well as the presentation. The lady who served us also very patiently explained what was included. I wasn't able to finish my portion but they came with a ready to go box and you can always take it to go just ask for the lid, I guess. Food is good. I was surprised even korean pancake, rolled fried egg, soybean egg were also a "banchan". I highly recommend and hope they'll stay around for a long time. read more

Amazing little gem! We discovered it by accident, brought a package to the UPS store at the same plaza and noticed it next door. Everything tasted fresh and super satisfying. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! You build your own combo out of several options and the result is a perfect balance of nutrition and fun! We also got 2 bottled green teas and they included 2 packages of seaweed snack. The total was $43 ($50 with tip) for two people. Very reasonable given that each combo came with TWO proteins. If I lived or worked near by - this would be my go to place for daily lunch! Highly recommend. read more

It's an easy pick me up/grab and go lunch! There's room to dine in if I wanted to. Food is fresh, tasty, and healthy too (you should get the sikhye slush too, it is very balanced and doesn't have a weird aftertaste)! Service is simple, as you choose which protein and sides you want. Everyone there is super friendly and nice, and the vibes are chill, the background music is at a very reasonable volume Definitely would come back to get more! read more

What a great concept! Fast casual healthy Korean spot, great for a quick bite or for takeout. If you're looking for something that hits the spot right away this does the job. Staff is incredible helpful and the place is super clean. Would highly recommend if you want Korean food and want to save some money. They have a bogo deal, buy one get another box half off.
