Some fat lady with a big gap between her teeth that was supposed to care for my kid. Took my…read moredaughter when she was 2 years old to the restroom where there were no cameras and pulled her ear. All because the fat lady had no patience for my kids baby tantrum. She Could've told me she was acting up and let me discipline my own kid. LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. And the way my daughter described this story I would never in my life thought I would hear those specific words come out of her tiny mouth. And she's not the type to make up stories at that age she could barely talk but that day she told me how the whole thing went down and I was pissed. Yall are lucky my mother raised a civilized gentleman. I don't recommend this place at all unless y'all like having your kids hurt by the adults that work here. My daughter is 6 and all her teachers since know how to handle kids way better than this place. Thank god I took her out the next day and I've been meaning to leave this rating on your step.

Very negligent, poorly run, horrible bookkeeping, malodorous…read more.. (I'll try to make this as brief as possible) When I PICKED my 3 year old up from this daycare (incident happened in the morning) I was informed that another 3 y/o had his hands in my daughters shorts. The teacher claims she was assisting other children in the restroom. I repeatedly asked to see the recording of the incident and was given the run around. Lucky for me I had the teacher write a statement for my own records. I withdrew my daughter and filed a complaint with Bright from the Start/DECAL. They investigated and found no evidence of poor supervision. I obtained a copy of their findings and to my surprise the daycare LIED!! They told the investigator that they never observed the boys hands in my daughters shorts!! That's PERJURY!! I was also surprised when I checked my credit report and Kiddie Kollege (H & A Credit) was listed. They charged me for her final week which was actually paid. They said they called trying to collect the balance but I pulled my call logs from ATT and I did not receive a single call from Kiddie Kollege or the collection agency. The place often times smelled like feces when I picked my child up. Probably from the babies with swollen diapers. **Please be advised that just because you file a complaint with decal it doesn't guarantee they will post the findings on their website. The info available on their website does not specify what incident occurred. I have informed DECAL and the perjury issue is now being investigated. We need to post our experiences on these public sites to warn other parents. I wont make this post all bad so I'll say the hours are great and Mrs. Nikki, who is no longer there, was a great help. FYI...THE OWNER, LINDA JOHNSON, WAS VERY NONCHALANT LIKE IT WAS NO BIG DEAL.

Over the past five years, it has been her home away from home--a place where she has grown into such a capable, confident, and fun-loving little girl. She had so much fun every single day, and the teachers had a true gift for making learning exciting and engaging. Our children were always safe, nurtured, and exceptionally well cared for--the staff is truly bar none. A special thank you to the two incredible teachers in the infant room--any family would be beyond blessed to have them care for their baby. We also can't say enough about the private kindergarten staff, who were simply beyond excellent and helped prepare her so beautifully for the next chapter. The front desk and administrative team are true rockstars--they have created such a warm, positive environment and an amazing culture throughout the school and its staff. The teachers loved her like their own, taking the time to know her inside and out, and that kind of care is priceless. The education she received was outstanding, and while it was an investment, it was absolutely worth every penny. We are beyond grateful for the role this school has played in shaping her into who she is today. It's also worth noting that staff turnover here is noticeably low compared to many other schools, which I truly believe is a direct reflection of the incredible culture the administrative team has created--making this one of the very best schools in Cobb County.

The staff are exceptional, our children have thrived there, we always feel welcomed, and we appreciate the communication about how everything is going regarding both general operations and our children's progress. Plus they REALLY go the extra mile with special events. the preschool graduation ceremony was darling!!! We literally have zero complaints!

It also fosters independence and my kids are capable of so many things that I never thought they would be at their ages. The teachers are kind and patient, but firm, and they really get to know you children and appreciate who they are as individuals. The fresh, healthy snacks from a local co-op are just a bonus. My only problem with the school is that it doesn't go past age 6. We'll be so sad to leave!

We were planning on homeschooling but I still wanted our kids to start with some school environment experience. Smyrna Montessori School was everything we were looking for. My children get lots of individual attention, are encouraged to explore and learn as much as they want and have had some wonderful friendships develop. There is a strong sense of respect modeled through kindness towards the teachers, classmates, learning materials and the world (cultures, the environment). The teachers love my children like they were their own and are passionate about the Montessori style of learning. Both of my children have gained a lot of confidence and independence since they began there. If I ever have a question I can set up a time to talk with any teacher. I'm always impressed with how aware they are of everything my child deals with on a daily basis, what their strengths are, how much progress they have made in areas of behavior, character and learning. I do wish they extended beyond the Primary program (3-6 years). I don't think there is any problem with illness any different than any other school environment. I don't love that the lead toddler teacher spot has changed hands a few times, but I understand that when a teacher has a baby she will want to take time to be with her new baby. This has been the only reason for teachers leaving that I am aware of. Those teachers have stayed in contact with the school and return for visits when possible. We feel very fortunate to be at Smyrna Montessori School and are so happy it opened at the perfect time for our kids. And as far as safety goes, our children are referred to as precious gifts, children are not allowed out of the classroom unless a teacher or parent is with them and the school and yard are secured during the day. I have no concern for my children's safety at all. Montessori is a different approach to learning than what a lot of people are used to, but for us it has been perfect. Oh, and I LOVE that I get an email and photos every week from each of my kids teachers touching on what the kids are working on and enjoying and some explanation about the Montessori process.
