The WORST experience I have EVER had with a company. And my biggest regret is not reading the Yelp reviews before I purchased a dress from children's cottage. My experience was so horribly similar to the other Yelp reviews- the owner giving me the run around multiple times, flat out lying to me about shipping the order, disrespectful crazy talk, etc. It's just insane. This company does not even deserve 1 star. I ordered my sons Heirloom outfit for Easter ONE MONTH ahead of time. According to their website if I ordered by a certain date it would arrive in time for Easter. I ordered by said date. They suggested I pay for extra postage for Heirloom shipping, which I did, and to expect 10 days for shipping. No problem or so I thought. Two weeks out from Easter I got nervous and I asked if it had shipped. They assured me they were shipping the following week and I would have the package in plenty of time for Easter. (OH! I need to add here you cannot get them on the phone and all was done via email). I emailed the next week and I was told the package was shipping out any day and I would have my package in time for Easter...again! I was also told that they ladies partner was hospitalized and she generally handled all this stuff....the blame for all of this repeatedly got thrown on this woman. Three days before Easter I emailed again and was told they were shipping express mail directly to me from the factory in Tennessee and the outfit would yet again arrive in time for Easter. I completely lost faith in this at this moment and started looking for alternative choices for my son to wear on Easter. Easter morning I still had not received said package. I emailed and stated I had in fact not received the outfit as promised several times by Easter. No reply. I emailed again the following Monday and was told that one of the seamstresses at the Tennessee factory had unexpectedly passed away and they got behind. THEN I was told that oh wait your order never did actually get processed. I find this awfully strange considering that I was charged promptly on my credit card for this purchase. She said they would refund me my money immediately. That was two weeks ago and I still have not received said refund. This was no measly purchase. This was a $130.00 purchase. I have emailed again and was told that her partner was discharged from the hospital and was now behind and now they are updating their system so the refund would just have to wait. WHAT???????????????????? This is unacceptable behavior for any business! I will yell it from the rooftops if it will prevent anyone else from purchasing anything from this company!!!!!! read more

I was referred here by my sister, (the bride to be) for my little boys outfits for the wedding. Little did she know what we'd be dealing with! I would not give any stars to this place but had to give 1 on yelp. From the very beginning the lady seemed nice and southern and willing to help... A little cookie but thought it was just her. I knew this shouldn't be where we should purchase our outfits due to the frantic, forgetful, non communicating way things were handled. I called and placed an order for two heirloom boys outfits sz 2 and sz 4 From that point I have always had to call her to check on the status, each time getting the run around. I placed my order early-mid month when I called to check if my payment went through I was told she forgot to order it (now it's the END of the month) needless to say I was pretty shocked she didn't even place my order. I had to endure on each phone call- crazy talk, circle talk, getting nowhere talk, flat out disrespect talk about other people in this world, our president, and endless excuses after excuses of why my simple order was wrong. I still have not received my order and I am a week away from my sisters wedding. I placed my order Jan 15th!!!!! Customers don't want to hear that you can't stand working and you can't be taking anymore orders... If that's he case maybe you shouldn't be in business.......... BEWARE, you've been warned! I'm updating my review to state that I received the outfit ONE DAY before the original event date- the date I let them believe the event would occur. (The date was moved out a week but I didn't let them know that on purpose!) Had the event occurred on the original date, I probably would have been running around town wasting precious time and spending more money to find something for my child to wear because I would have been confident that I would receive the pieces in time. I probably would have found the damn thing in my mailbox after arriving home from shopping for a replacement. I even got the run-around and excuses when I asked for tracking numbers when she told me I would receive my items by a certain date. She finally provided them. The pieces were perfect however I just got lucky because the date of the event changed. I spoke to another person who ordered something for a wedding and NEVER RECEIVED HER ITEMS. They did refund her but they had been giving assurance after assurance that it would arrive timely. This place is an absolute disaster. read more

I had a terrible experience ordering from this place. I ordered a dress for my daughter's first Christmas and 3 weeks later still did not have this shipped. We were traveling for Christmas and when I called the week before, I was assured it would be there in time. When I called again because my package still wasn't there, I was told it was only shipped that MORNING. When I called, they were very rude and basically said it was my problem and i needed to find someone to ship it to me. They were very unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone I know. read more

TERRIBLE! I ordered shoes for my 9 month old .I had to call twice to check on the status of the shoes because they do not have a tracking system. 12 days later I received them and they were the wrong shoes. When I called to tell her the shoes sent were wrong she tried to argue with me when I told her what I had in my hand she apologized told me to send them back and they would refund me the shipping cost. On September 29 wrong shoes were shipped with copy of the receipt for the cost of the shipping. I sent an email letting them know shoes had been shipped and asking how they will refund me for the shipping, no response, sent two more emails on the 30th no response. On Oct 1st called, she says oh yes new shoes are in the mail and her partner takes care of pay pal refunds and she is very busy blah blah but comes in every other day and she will have to handle it. So I still don't have a straight answer on when I will be refunded. Also when you call they let you know up front on their voicemail not to leave a message because it won't be checked you should email; however they don't answer email either. As expensive as their merchandise is you would think it would be top notch service and it isn't! I will NEVER buy from them ever again. read more

Horrible customer service. I placed an order online - all items were clearance and in stock but took 2 and a half weeks to ship. No apology was given. The lady I spoke with acted as if I was bothering her by shopping her store. I will stick with Tiny Town from now on. read more
