We toured quite a few preschools in the area, and this one stood out as the most child-focused. We enrolled our kids in their preschool childcare services and have used the program for about six months. We also paid for a few months of the Mommy & Me class. My kids love playing on their playground. They have real objects like walkie talkies, a phone-booth setup which serve as reference points to give a better grasp of history when they get to school. Ms. Megumi does a great job of maintaining the garden. There are bugs, butterflies, seeds, and plants the kids interact with, and the kids even get to eat vegetables from the garden. The school community puts real effort into family events. The Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and the Christmas Fair are fun for both kids and parents. I'm delighted to write this detailed review of my family's time at Child's World Preschool. Our oldest son started at CWPS in the Summer of 2021 during the summer program and we only dipped our toes in, doing just 2 days a week on the T/TH schedule. We enrolled that fall in the 3 day a week program M,W, F. He loved the school, and loved his teachers Miss Miki and Miss Marisela. It felt very magical from the beginning, from the fantastic play yard to all the smiling faces and happy kids. We knew early on how much we enjoyed the school so we enrolled our youngest daughter into the Parent/Toddler program as soon as she was eligible at 18 months. Miss Colleen was wonderful and we faithfully did every session until our daughter was 3 and old enough for the main pre-school program. And she started her pre-school at 5 days a week right away because she was so prepared and ready for it thanks to all of her time with Miss Colleen. Our son went up to 5 days a week for his pre-kindergarten year. He had Miss Tami and Miss Miranda and our whole family loved Miss Tami so much. We started feeling that sense of teacher loyalty. So we admit we were secretly hoping Miss Miki would be our daughter's pre-school teacher too because we were so happy with her, only to find out that Miss Jaime was the perfect match! Our little one blossomed so much during her year with Miss Jaime and Miss Cherie. We finally realized ALL of the teachers are fantastic. So as she was cruising through her pre-kindergarten year last Fall with Miss Betty and Miss Lisset, our family was beginning to feel nostalgic and the distant sting of not having Child's World in our life anymore after 4 wonderful years. It has been a pleasure dealing with everyone at the school from Miss Cindy to now Miss Mai as well as Miss Kelly and Miss Donna, the administration team has been steady, professional and helpful. We also want to give a special thanks and mention to the wonderful other teachers on campus like Miss Cece, Miss Carolina, Miss Amber and Miss Megumi who also made a personal stamp on the hearts of our kids. We loved all the events for the whole family especially Family Fun Day in the Spring and the Christmas Fair and Pancake Breakfast. Both of our kids always took part in the chapel days as well and they loved it, but we never felt any pressure to participate in church events. We can truly say that our experience with Child's World has been one of the best things about our life as parents in Orange County after moving here about 6 years ago. This school is Reggio-inspired with the most amazing indoor and outdoor learning environments (natural materials and very inviting activities that are always changing daily/weekly). Our first baby, Jonathan, turned 2.9 in the fall of 2019. He was my spirited baby - he could climb to the top of the highest playground structures, he loved being held and he hated wearing shoes and sweaters. He had extreme separation anxiety. He would cry for hours when he first started. He was also really curious and had an unbelievable memory and imagination. We gave him a lot of freedom as a baby and raised him with a lot of love and cuddles so he was confident and opinionated which are qualities I admire but I always worried how he would do in a traditional school set up. I didn't want him to lose himself in the process of learning. As we were looking for a preschool, we did our research but we also got really lucky that we found Child's world. Jonathan spent his first year bonding with friends and teachers, learning to share and learning to garden. It was hard for him to be indoors for too long so he spent a lot of time outside with his favorite teacher at the time, Miss Megumi. His other teacher Miss Jamie was like a family member to him too. Now, almost 3 years later, as I look at him and receive feedback from his current teachers Miss Lizzie and Miss Jill, I feel so proud of the young boy that he has become. He loves indoor and outdoor time and has made so many friends and best of all he loves to learn. His face has a wide smile every time he talks about Child's world and his teachers. Jonathan is starting Kindergarten this fall and I am no longer worried about him. I know Child's World has prepared him well. Along with knowing behaviors and expectations, he knows to write numbers and letter in lower and uppercase and is even starting to read, he also knows many other things such as days of the week, months of the year, planets, colors, names of dinosaurs and I could go on and on. My Son and daughter both attended Child's World since they were 3 years old. We started with their parent toddler program and continued to preschool and TK. They had the best time there and we absolutely love the school. They have the kindest, dedicated and most patient teachers. Their playground is filled with activities that encourage them to explore and use their imaginations. My friends have praised A Child's World for years and my only regret is that I didn't enroll my 3 year old son sooner. It is worth the drive and in my opinion there is no better preschool. Having an older child and experiencing various other schools and teachers through the years you quickly know when you are experiencing something pretty special and rare. Socializing, emotional regulation, fostering inquisitiveness etc are the lasting intangibles you want your child to carry through life. They are crucial for development. My son just started in Miss Jamie's class and she is the ideal teacher. I am continually impressed and grateful he has a role model who embodies compassion, patience and genuinely cares for him. Miss Cherie also displays such kindness, empathy and warmth towards him. It's obvious children are deeply cared for in their classroom. My son has a language delay and needs more help than the other kids but all the teachers including the children have been so understanding and welcoming. My daughter attended Child's world from Fall 2021- Summer 2022 and again just for the summer of 2023 . We both absolutely loved the school. Their play yard impressed me with their grass, sand, and trees that you don't see much of at preschools these days. What drew me to this school was their focus on outdoor learning. I knew it would be a good fit for my energetic and curious kid. Their teachers and staff were always caring and attentive. They nurtured her natural curiosity with child-lead learning and her teacher planned her curriculum to explore the things the kids were currently interested in. While they did cover the alphabet and numbers, her teacher didn't heavily focus on them. By the end of her time at preschool she was able to write her name, recognize and say all of her letters and numbers 1-10. If you want something more academically inclined, you might want to look somewhere else. Other skills that I would definitely attribute to her time at this school were good social skills in sharing, including others, voicing her concerns and questions. We have toured many schools before deciding to put our eldest daughter in CW. It's the best decision ever. Not only are the teachers so patient and dedicated but the attention to details ... especially the outdoor classroom. They always have many fun activities set up for the kids to explore. All the activities are extremely child centered and it's really the best school for children who loves exploring and loves spending time outside. Now my eldest daughter has graduated to 1st grade but once in a while she gets to come visit her little sister in her parent toddler class and she kept saying she wish this is still her school . My son attended Child's World Preschool for 2 years, and I have nothing but wonderful things to stay about this program! It is such a loving and fun environment for the kids. They incorporate so many experiences like hatching ducks each spring, gardening, science experiments, and lots of outdoor time. We started the program as soon as they reopened after having to close due to the pandemic. I was always extremely impressed with how they handled the constant changes and safety protocols. I am so grateful that my son was able to attend preschool during the pandemic and have the wonderful experiences he did. My daughter was a student at Child's World Preschool from Fall of 2020 to Summer of 2022 and we could not have been happier there. What truly caught my attention was their beautiful play area which is the center of the school. They have an outdoor teacher who tends to their garden and creates wonderful creative spaces for their imaginations to flourish. My daughter would come home with vegetables for us to cook with or I would see class pictures of her and her friends playing together. The teachers would help students discover their interests and tailor their curriculum to the class. Their teaching style seems to be a mix of play based/reggio which is exactly what we were looking for in a school. Our daughter learned how to interact with other students through play and how to problem solve and handle conflict which is so important at that age. Her last year at the school was our most memorable as her teacher truly took the time to help prepare her for Kindergarten and gave us resources to support our learning goals with a true understanding of our family. My daughter and I both look back at her preschool years fondly because of Child's World and I'm happy to say that we still have friends we keep in touch with from the school that have become an important part of our lives. Disneyland has nothing on Child's World Preschool. It really is the happiest place on earth. Both my daughters attended this school and as we live nearby, I have listened to them exclaim for many years how much they miss preschool and would love to go back. To give an example of why the school and its staff is so special, my older daughter was allowed and encouraged to read a story in front of my younger daughter's class. A few years later, my youngest, now a second grader, was allowed to come in and read to a new preschool class. Both girls will treasure this experience for many years to come. We loved visiting with all our former teachers and staff, including the school director Ms. Cindy, Ms. Sheila, Ms. Lori, Ms. Megumi, Ms. Tanya & Ms. Kelly. They remembered us well & took the time to chat with my girls and update us on all the new and exciting activities going on. As usual, it was nearly impossible to get my girls to stop playing with all the fun, imaginative, interactive, and ever-changing & challenging activities in the beautiful play yard. This preschool is amazing , unbelievable great place for your kids! Great staff, wonderful teachers...very attentive... my daughter loves all teachers in this preschool! She never cried , what was surprising for me. She enjoys every day being there. Kids have their own life... friends, different stories, whole world of interesting things)) it's so nice! They learning everything!!! How to cook, how to build, how to color, paint,gardening, singing !!!! I have no words to describe all feelings. My daughter got more understandable, respectful, creative.also, they are teaching how to write, love books, respect each other, follow rules. It's a very very important part of kids life. I love this preschool! My son has had the privilege of having Ms. Jeanine, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Jaime and Ms. Kelly and they have all been awesome! My son is getting ready to go into kindergarten and I believe he is well prepared. On the weekends my son counts down the days until he can go back to school. They make school so much fun and really go out of their way to make school a positive and rewarding experience. Although they consider themselves a developmental preschool I think they do a nice balance of academics too. It's so cute they are constantly changing up the toys on the playground. One day they will have babies with soap and scrubs, another a wood shop station, colored rice with shovels, flower potting... They also do motor development, cooking projects and music. As an elementary teacher myself, I had a LONG list of criteria for what I was looking for in a preschool for my children. Child's World meets and exceeds all of my criteria! I have had 2 children in the school for preschool, summer sessions, and pre-k. My 3rd child will definitely attend Child's World when he is old enough. The teachers are SO KIND, so friendly, very enthusiastic and passionate about what they do. I know my children are so loved every day I drop off. Child's World offers after school enrichment classes like art, science, and even cooking. My children loved these classes! I feel so lucky to have found this amazing school! It was recommended to me by friends and choosing to send my daughter there was one of the best decisions I have made as a mom! My daughter came out of CW with improved social skills and behavior and an academic knowledge beyond just pre-kinder prep! She went for 2 years and also 2 summers and all of the teachers and assistant teachers that she had were caring, patient, thorough and fun! My daughter's kindergarten teacher has asked me on more than one occasion where she went to pre-school, because it is evident to her that she was well prepared for "real" school! The play yard is the best in Irvine! It is huge! The toys are changed on a daily basis so there is no time for the kids to get bored and if they are not in the mood to run around and play, they can always relax on the couch with a variety of different books set out each day or they can visit Ms. Tanya's Art Center. There is always something fun to do! There is a wonderful sense of support and community at Child's World and I am super excited for my second child to start there this summer! The teachers and the staff are absolutely fantastic! My wife and I have sent both our boys to Child's World Preschool and are huge advocates of their teaching style and playtime learning. I love it so much that I find myself volunteering there often when they need help setting up events. From my very first visit to the school, the first thing I was amazed with was the playground. It is large and has all of the bells and whistles that one would expect in a playground and then there's a whole lot more. They grow strawberries, sugar snap peas, carrots, tomatoes and everything else you can imagine. The children are then encouraged to touch and learn all about them. In addition, the playground toys change all the time and encourage children to experiment and learn about building using pvc pipes, water flow with water wheels, and all kinds of imagination learning toys. The teachers and staff have become friends of ours. They are nurturing and caring to all of the children and have a fantastic philosophy of 'playtime learning'. My boys have learned so much from the teachers. Child's World Preschool will leave a lifelong lasting impression in all of our minds. To top it off, it is one of the most reasonably priced preschools in the area. I highly recommend it to friends so I figured that I would take some time to let others know as well. A wonderful start for any child and the best preschool in the area. The teachers and staff love what they do and love the kids they teach. They create a loving and safe environment for all children to learn, inside the classroom and out. The play yard and garden are favorites for all of my children. All 4 of my children have attended child's world, with my 4th child in our last year at the school. My 3 older children were well prepared socially, emotionally and academically for elementary school and I am sure my 4th will be as well. Great school! Recommended by a friend that was a teacher - she researched and sent her kids to Child's World. We decided to send our first son to Child's World. First thing we wanted to know was - will they prepare him for kindergarten? Second, is it a safe place? And thirdly, would he have a positive social experience? The curriculum is great! The teachers and staff are so patient and caring. Our son was more than ready for kindergarten. Not only academically but socially too. As for safety - the teachers and staff are very watchful and the doulble lock on the outter gates don't allow the children access. While my daughter enjoyed her time here, it was a complete pain for us parents. The front office has some real challenges. It took months of asking two times a week for a tuition receipt to receive one. One of our teacher's never communicated with the parents and never followed through on promises like at home visits, playdates, sharing pictures from class, answering emails. My daughter had a great time at school, I just had absolutely no idea what she did there. They overcharged everyone $100 for camp this summer, messed up enrollment and send out confirmations for kids to be in the wrong classes. I put together the class auction basket for our fundraiser and they lost the paperwork. When we did have to withdraw from the school, it took a month to get our refund check and they made it out to the wrong person. It's a great school if you can handle every administrative interaction being a nuisance. read more

I was really nervous to send my daughter to preschool and searched a lot. They had a parent and me class that we did for a year and 1/2 to get her comfortable to the school and then she moved onto preschool and the teachers were awesome. She had a little hard time with me leaving but they were extra loving and called me multiple times to let me know how she was doing. When we entered Child's world preschool it was the first school in our daughter's life, and on top of that her English was poor at that moment, as we relocated to US recently. I could never imagine such a smooth transition period. Unfortunately we were part of the Child's world preschool not for a long time since we needed to switch to a full day care. Outdoor play is heavily emphasized and there are plenty of activities for the children to do. The children learn through play so there are lots of engaging activities to choose from.
