Decided to stop in and check out their $10.99 Smashburger deal. I decided to get the soup. Baked potato. The soup was excellent!! I thought the burger was going to be small. Hey, it's your friendly neighborhood restaurant, Chili's! As a former Diamond Bar resident, I used to frequent this Chili's back in my college days when I was out with friends. I will say that this location is very, very convenient because it's on the corner of a 4-way street and literally near the freeway entrance and exit. Chili's is always a great place to grab some drinks, some Tex-Mex inspired dishes, and enjoy with good company. Also, another convenient thing about Chili's is that they have tablets where you can self-serve to grab the check afterwards. That way, you don't have to flag down and wait for a server. read more

Awful experience, straight up laughable how their manage this restaurant. Went to eat on a weekday night and there were multiple drunk regulars at the bar. Literally flying a drone inside, crashing into things multiple things. This went on for a while in plain view of the bar staff until a manager seemed to finally come out and try to stop the guy flying the drone. The bar staff booed the manager and said "here comes the fun police". A little bit later an older drunk man went up behind me and started poking my shoulder and then trying to hide on the opposite side of which ever shoulder he poked like a f&cking child. He was slurring his words pretty bad and you couldn't understand what he was saying. STOP ENCOURAGING this type of behavior! The ten dollar deal is actually a pretty good deal, and the two for twenty two is also a pretty good option. If I'm spending ten+ dollars for food, if feel like this is the best possible option. Their ribs are great, the steak is solid (cooked well usually and quality is not bad for the price). I love their chicken crispers as well, but that usually means a night of heartburn and that I need to play basketball for at least two hours the next day. Second time this happened: ordered classic ribeye medium rare and prepared medium well. First time I didn't check my steak before leaving the restaurant. This time l checked it and steak was again medium well. They took steak back and order was redone. One To-go cashier said they're preparing it but they are busy tonight so it will take some time. While I appreciate the honesty and transparency, I thought that was unprofessional as it was not my fault that my order was not prepared correctly in the first place. Another trip to Chili's, yum! I got the Pick 3 items, you can get a Beer or Margarita for $2.49 extra (yes, I got the Margarita on the rocks. I wasn't driving home). I picked chicken fajitas and side salad. The portions are big (just finished my leftover the next day), I think they gave me 5 flour tortillas. Nicely grilled bellpeppers (red and green) nd onions. Chicken is lightly seasoned, which I liked. Black beans in a cup (thank you - doesn't make my rice soggy). I am on their rewards so we got endless chips/salsa. Salsa is smooth and has this wonderful taste, it's not too spicy but just enough to make you want more. The staff are very friendly and very hard workers. When you have to get up and get your own to go box after waiting for your waitress to bring it, then you know what kind of service this place provides. Our waitress had no problem attending to her friends at the table next to us though, chatting and looking at pictures on their phones. Horrible. Sadly under-performing part of the chain. Of the hundreds of Chili's I have visited across the country, this is near the bottom for cleanliness, food quality and staff professionalism. We ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and the half-rib plate, accompanied by a couple draft beers, pretty standard fare for this type of chain. The hamburger was raw in the middle (waited 20 minutes for a second raw hamburger) and the waiter just shrug his shoulders and said "I don't know why it's taking so long, I don't know why the burger is raw, I don't know why the fries are cold" and wait, it gets better, "We don't have a manager here, you can leave your name and number and some one can call you in a few days". The tables around us were dirty and the silverware we had (and the second set) had crusty food on them. Getting simple things like a clean fork was a challenge for the wait staff. There were only a few people in the place, and numerous employees gathered at the entrance to the kitchen, playing on phones, yet no one could manage to refill the warm draft beer or clean up the spill from a screaming baby sitting with a family a few booths over. Had to go to the little pile of employees to get the check, they clearly didn't have adult supervision present, as they didn't seem to equate performance with a paycheck, but had the nerve to remind me to enter a tip amount on the check. Zero, well earned. The following hours were met with bad stomachs for both of us, we will not go back - paid for meals we didn't enjoy that were clearly prepared with a minimum of effort or attention to safe food handling standards. Lately, I've been coming here most Fridays. I live nearby, so I've been walking to and from. After a stroll in the summer heat it's nice to step into this cool place. My Friday routine is to order a bowl of chili with all the toppings, and a house salad with balsamic dressing. To drink, iced tea with lemon. After I redeem my points for a free drink, the bill is around 12 bucks with tip. Such a deal. I can browse the web on the wi-fi , or read my E-book. But kept putting aside for next time and next time... but today after watching TV series about baby back ribs, I had a craving. So decided to order full rack of original baby back ribs & chicken wings w/ bone in. ( honey chipotle) w/ ranch sauce. It was easy to order online. My wife and I have been long time patron's of Chili's Diamond Bar. I have especially enjoyed their chili and hamburgers. However, the last four or five times in the past year I noticed the chili has been very salty, so salty it is unhealthy. I generally like certain food on the salty side, but the recent chili I have ordered has been way too salty. I have complained to the waiters and waitresses, and they said they no longer have control over the making of their chili at their restaurant as the chili is now being made at some central location for the restaurant chain. I had to replace the chili with something else that I had no original intention of eating. Tonight the hamburger I ordered had no onion. I asked the waitress for some slice onion. She indicated that they recently stopped providing sliced onion and now only chopped onion, which doesn't hold together with the other ingredients in the hamburger. The chopped onion she provided falls out when I bite into the hamburger. To me, a hamburger without onion doesn't taste like a true hamburger. I would go somewhere else for a good hamburger that uses sliced onion. The waitress was sympathetic and understanding, and service was great as usual. But corporate management seemed out of touch with their customers and the people who actually serve the customers. So now, unless things change, I will likely have to forego Chili's as most favorite food items are no longer draw me to eat there. read more

Date of visit: July 22, 2018 It had been a long drive back from San Diego Comic-Con, and prior to dropping off my girlfriend at her place, she recommended that we head to Chili's for some dinner - especially as they had a 3 for $10 special going on (one appetizer, one beverage, and an entrée from a particular list to choose from). Plus, once we arrived, it was all day happy hour at the bar area (meaning half-price appetizers on Sundays)... and as I'm a Chili's Rewards Club member, I also could get free chips and salsa! Anyways, since we got the free chips and salsa, I added to that by getting an order of guacamole to go along with it. For our appetizers, I got a bowl of chili and my lady got a salad. And for the entrees, I got their Bacon Burger, while she got their Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadillas. Everything was delicious - while the chili didn't have any beans, the beef was pretty meaty and not too spicy. The burger was cooked medium well and came out the way I liked it, and Kathy was pleased with how her quesadillas tasted. The guacamole had the right mix of creamy and chunky to it; in fact, since the chips filled us up, we had lots of leftovers for the following day's lunches. Total price for both of us (minus tip): $22 = SCORE! Service was pretty attentive - our server came around every so often to make sure our drinks were refilled. Par for the course, given how busy the bar area was that evening. Definitely keeping Chili's in mind next time I'm up north visiting my girlfriend... especially as one of the appetizers that they carry are Awesome Blossom Petals. read more

We don't have a lot to choose from in Diamond Bar so I was happy to see this Restaurant is open for indoor dining again and all I can is "Wow"! I sat in the bar area and my server/bartender was Frank. He was very friendly and attentive. I felt comfortable right away. I ordered the Quesadilla explosion salad coupled with a Tropical sunrise Margerita. I'm not joking Frank made one of the best Flavored Margaritas I ever tasted. This place is super busy, they don't really come by much after they take your order and give you the food. No water refills. Check out through the touch screen pad om the table. Stopped at this Chili's for a quick bite and a cocktail. We were happy they are open, with outdoor patio seating . We were greeted nicely. Seated promptly and our server could not have been more accommodating, knowledgable and kind. Great customer service by Sallie, and later Vanity. Chili's has two great employees who epitomize customer service. We shared the trio appetizer with rolls. Chicken crisper and big bites. It was more than enough food for a noonish treat. We here for dinner around 6pm on 4th July. They were short staffed that time but our server was Brian and he gave us excellent customer service. He made sure we were taken care of. He went above and beyond to make up for being short staffed that time. He was smiling the whole time and was so friendly. We had a great experience dining today. The food was very good too. We usually get fajitas and got baby back ribs for the first time. It was good for around $20. Strawberry lemonade was a bit watered down but the fries were very tasty. What happened to the stellar server we had last time?!?! Tonight's service with the male Hispanic server (w/feminine voice) turned into a sh1t show. After putting in our orders, he disappeared, then returned with our drinks but didn't bother to give us (personally) each ordered drink, instead leaving it in a haphazard pile to sort out ourselves. Next he returned a while after to give us false gouge on the soup my friend ordered. He looked at me and told me about the soup fiasco when it wasn't even I that ordered the soup. After disappearing yet again, a second server (female) visited our table and told us different info from what the other guy told us. We finally receive our food in a timely manner, and things went fairly well until the end. Our male server asked us if we wanted a dessert, to which I replied, "what do you got?" I handed him the menu and he pointed to the MEAL SIDES section, and then disappeared for the rest of the night. No joke, after pointing us to more sides instead of the dessert we were looking to order, he disappeared and never came back to our table again. Needless to say, we paid our bill electronically through their table tablet. I left exactly $0 tip, as I felt the device was undeserving of any earned tip. Did I mention they were not completely swamped busy? In our last visit, a different server busted his @$$ making sure we were taken care of you money paying patrons. Where was the guy at?
