It's not great, Chili's everywhere is kinda going down hill. But from Corpus, this includes Kingsville and surrounding areas to the Valley. I've been to many Chili's on road stops, this is one of the better ones. Chilis in Callallen Texas is alright too. It was busy but they tended to us and got our order out quick. Thanks!

Went with my sister and niece for dinner. Fun times! If you've eaten at Chili's, you know the food, so I'm not going into that this time. We enjoyed our meals and drinks and mostly our family time!!!

Seriously had the worst experience ever... waiter was never around and I ordered the margarita chicken which was actually good but the rice was so hard and dry!! Then I was asked if I wanted rice again ???? Never again

I had lunch here a few times during my work breaks. I was surprised to see their healthy meal options since I have been on a diet. I usually order the margarita chicken dish which is very good with a side asparagus! The service is usually OK but I try to be understanding since I usually go during lunch and this is their busiest time of the day and the waiters are simply trying to keep up with all the people. I recommend this restaurant as a good lunch option.

Chili's will always be Chili's. I've dined at them all over the world all over the US; it's always the same. I never write reviews on cleanliness of restrooms or if a waiter is having a bad day. That said; the restrooms are very clean here. Strong drinks at the bar and good selection of sports on. Got the trip sampler and cheese fries. Can't complain. Bartender was spot on despite a busy day.

This is a great lunch deal!

Chilis is one our favorite places to dine at. Love the taste, the portions and the prices. Came in for lunch and had their "2 for $22" which offer awesome meal choices. The way it works is: 1). Choose an appetizer to share. Some our usual choices are the Chips and Guacamole or the Texas Cheese Fries. 2). Choose an entre. Personal favorites are the Chile-Mango Chicken, Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers and the Cajun Pasta. We always have water instead of Flavors drinks. Our bill came out to be around $26 including tip which is fair due to the Taste, Portions and Service. Would really recommend for both lunch and dinner.

Came in had the 2 for $25 I was so full I couldn't finish my meal or touch the desert. Guaco, Salsa, chili cheese fries I didn't add another star because my steak was a little to well done as I requested medium but it was still good! I did have to send my mash back it was yellow lol and tasted off. Our waiter was awesome he took it back, replated it for me as my OCD was getting the beat of me lol. We had really great service LUIS was SUPER attentive welcoming and friendly! Thanks Luis!!!

I was going to go with 4 stars, but then thought about it ... they did everything right. I happened to be in this general area, while visiting the famous main branch of the McAllen Public Library, which holds the record for being the largest library on one level in either the U.S., North America, or the world. Dinnertime was approaching and a barbecue place sounded just like what I needed. Cowboy Chicken is in a strip mall close enough to the library. Parking is easy and, once inside, you go through a short line to order what you want to eat, with some people eating in and others taking out. I do like to eat this regional barbeque food on occasion, and it's something I do at least once every time I'm in the Houston metro area. I always go for the 2 item combination platter. However, in the Houston area, I don't seem to land on places that offer both brisket and boneless chicken. So, in Houston, I get brisket and turkey ... and I'm still a happy camper. At this Cowboy Chicken, I asked if I could get chicken as one of the 2 meats and if it could be (a) boneless piece(s). The young lady helping me said that I could and was very helpful. I took my tray to the simple but airy eating area and started to dig in. Everything, including the sides, was delicious. The chicken and the brisket were very much to my liking. I'm not being a big baby by always asking for boneless stuff, but who wants to mess with bones and scales when eating outside of their home or at a backyard event? I wanted to add that the portion size was satisfying and that the pricing was appropriate. This "main" Cowboy Chicken has a lot of good things going for it - the food, the service, the portions, the value, and, above all, what I perceived to be a strong focus on the customer. So there you have it. If visiting the impressive main branch of the McAllen Public Library and get hungry, you might stop by Cowboy Chicken for a meal. How does that sound for a field trip?

We came here with our best friends because they had friends that ate there and enjoyed the food…read more It's an interesting concept: everything on the menu is all or in part - RibEye Steak in some form. Sounds good in principle. But the proof is in the pudding as they say, or the food and how good it is. They start the meal with an assortment of fresh house-made tortilla chips and salsas that range from a "pretty warm" pico de gallo to a "blazing hot" sauce made with habaneros. They also brought us so charro beans, "on the house" which when mixed with a little lime and the aforementioned salsa were maybe the best part of the meal. I don't think I've had any charros their equal. I'd come back just for them if nothing else. I had the Chicharron Ribeye on Molchahete which is a rib eye steak, cut in bite sized cubes, seared then placed atop some lettuce and fresh house-made guacamole, served with fresh, house made corn tortillas. (You had me at house-made corn tortillas!). The steak bites were a little overcooked for my tastes and, if I'm being honest, the steak was at best, a USDA Select Grade based on a lack of tenderness. I'd hope that for the price they'd use at least USDA Choice or higher grade. Anyway it wasn't very tender but the flavor was ok. In total there was enough steak for three or four nice sized tacos with really good guacamole, some onion, cilantro and lime to squeeze on top. The wife ordered RibEye Enchiladas which were, according to her, just ok. They were smothered in a heavy sauce and even heavier layer of melted cheese, detracting from the flavor of the ribeye. Neither of us were that impressed with our entrees. The sides were better than the mains. That's never a good thing. Our friends split an order of RibEye Panchos, which in most of the rest of the world are known as nachos - tortilla chips, chunks of ribeye steak, cheese, salsa, etc. They seemed to enjoy their meal and had leftovers to carry out. Our server, a sweet young gal was exceptional at her job, very informative about the restaurant and let us know that after five years in the same location, they would soon be moving, although the new location was at present, a secret. Our drinks were never empty and she offered us more charros, chips and salsa...whatever we wanted. My entree was $19.99 and the wife's was $18.99. Adding in my iced tea plus tax brought the total to a bit over $46 which isn't horrible, especially seeing we're talking ribeye steak, but, for this steak, it's quality and quantity, perhaps a little high. They do offer a Sunday Brunch, which we may try in the future. Perhaps they had a bad batch of tough steaks, I don't know. I'll certainly give them another visit before crossing them off my list in order to be fair. Here's to looking forward to that next visit.

The ambiance is that if a five star establishment one goes to when celebrating a special occasion. It's exclusively an indoor dining establishment. During our first brunch visit, the waitstaff's enthusiastic recommendations felt a bit overwhelming--almost to the point of pressure--but we chalked it up to eagerness to help new guests get acquainted with the menu. The space has a club-like vibe, likely aiming for something virtual and modern, but compared to places we've experienced globally, it didn't quite hit the mark. We started with a dish we believed was our appetizer, but it turned out to be something else entirely--our actual order followed and ended up being almost a duplicate but with much less flavor. That made the meal feel heavier than expected. My husband found his plate fairly average, but we understand that new places often need time to refine their offerings. When the bill came, we noticed we were charged for the original appetizer. No fuss--we paid for what we ate and had the rest boxed up. Unfortunately, the green chilaquiles didn't reheat well and lacked flavor the second time around, as well. I dislike throwing food away, but it wasn't worth a sour stomach and ruining the rest of the day. So, I opted to throw it out. Because the restaurant came recommended a couple of weeks later by a friend, we gave it another try. Again, the staff greeted us warmly, though they forgot to bring out the complimentary bread. My husband politely reminded the manager, who graciously handled it himself. This time we brought my daughter. She ordered the stuffed chilaquiles, we had been served previously as an appetizer. The plate this time was overly drenched in a bland sauce. I requested salt to balance it out, and my daughter eventually gave up, scraping off most of the excess and leaving the rest. She was disappointed and left with an upset stomach. My husband mistakenly ordered the regular chilaquiles--made with an enchilada-style sauce instead of a fresh salsa--which was unfortunately a miss again. I had tried to warn him, but the loud club-style music made conversation difficult. I had ordered the same dish on my first visit and left most of it untouched for the same reason: the overwhelming amount of sauce that turned everything mushy. In the end, we paid for a meal that none of us finished -- not once but twice. While we appreciate the staff's energy and hospitality, the food's execution just didn't meet our expectations. Sadly, we don't anticipate returning.
