If you are looking for Israeli food and would like it to taste like authentic Israeli street food, then you've come to the right place. Juicy, not the least bit dry, thinly sliced, marinated chicken kebab (notes of tangy za'atar) on a "platter" came with 2 warm, somewhat dry pita's and as many sides as you would like. Sides included white or red cabbage, hummus (on the thin side),well-balanced tahini, eggplant salad, spicy shug (Israeli, spicy salsa) and Israeli salad (cucumber, tomato, parsley and lemon). The platter was $28. Very tasty. Another enjoyable dish was a laffa (thin bread) warmed and slightly toasted with expertly prepared and seasoned falafel sandwiched in between all the sides mentioned above. There was so much going on that you'd think it would fall apart or mask the flavor of the falafel, but nope. The chickpea falafel really stood out and even provided a bit of unexpected crunch. The sandwich was huge, and undoubtedly shareable, but I managed to eat the whole thing. $17.99 2 canned drinks ($2.39 each) plus fries ($10.99?!) somehow came to just under $70 with tax and tip. We did not take our receipt (our bad) and after sitting down to write this review, I am perplexed how we got to that number. I peruse the online menu and see that the platter is $31.99 (or was it $20.99 in-house because one of the sides was hummus? Did we know we were adding extra?); the sandwich online says it is $14.99. I seem to recall it was the aforementioned price. I honestly don't know. I mention the prices because I realize (knowing in advance) that Chill & Grill is Glatt Kosher and for that reason prices are usually on the higher side (we accept this), however we left thinking, "Would we go back and spend $70 again in a dingy, unappealing shopping center in a place with zero, almost neglectful atmosphere and eat on uncomfortable metal chairs with our food served on styrofoam and drink out of dollar-store quality cups even if we really, really liked the food?" I've been to most other restaurants in this building, but I knew as soon as I walked in that this was the place I was looking for. Upon walking in I was greeted by the friendly staff. Had a wonderful lunch here the other day. We'd tried to come here before, not realizing it is kosher and closed on Saturdays -- so just a heads up. And if you put the location in your GPS, you may be taken to the gas station. Just drive around to the other side by the computer school and sylvan learning and you'll find this small restaurant in the corner. The two young guys behind the counter -- serving and cooking -- were friendly, helpful, and had a sense of humor. You order at the counter. Then when your entree is done, you go back to choose all your salads and additions. You pay after eating. We chose to dine in. But there are a couple tables outside; they were doing a lot of takeout business while we were there so that's another option, as well. We decided to share a shawarma plate -- the dinner portion -- as it was a larger size. The shawarma meat is turkey that is layered and cooked on a rotisserie (like Greek gyro). For our "salads", we added creamy hummus, a chunky eggplant salad, babaghanush, Israeli salad, red cabbage, and a side of red pickled turnips (I love the crunch of these). We also got a couple pieces of their warmed and fluffy pita bread. Everything was delicious. We loved mixing and matching all the flavors and making our own combos. I felt like I was eating "healthy" with all the salads. They have sandwiches, various salads, plates, appetizers, and even hamburgers. There's steak and kebabs, chicken, even tuna. And yes, felafel, too. For vegetarians, there's an "impossible" burger. And for dessert -- should you have any room left -- they have baklava. My friend and I visited mid December 2024. I think the food here is Israeli Jewish style so I enjoy the atmosphere. The Schwarma Platter was very good especially because of the variety of salads and dips and 2 Pitas. The delicious small free veggy type bar was an added bonus. This is a small place with about 5 tables as well as a couple outside. You order at the counter and they are very fast. It is a bit expensive. Maybe the Kosher aspect is part of the reason. While we were there the place seemed to be doing good business. Much enjoyed the Platter. Look forward to splurging here again soon. read more

Meh this place is alright. I always love trying out new places and decided randomly to try this place out since it was code to my house. I love shawarma and thought it was cool they used rotisserie turkey. The only thing is price here. It's not worth the price in my opinion I got the shawarma plate and it came out to $26 like why? All it comes with is pita and some cabbage and others toppings. It's not like they give you rice or anything to make it worth the almost 30$ price tag for one meal. And then I got a side of falafel for 10 dollars so you are telling me 6 falafels for 10 that's insane. I should have just gone to bolay and got a whole nutritional meal that's better in my opinion. This right here! When I walked in and pretty much the entire staff was sporting a yarmulke, I knew this was not only the real deal, but it was going to be something special. Kosher, Mediterranean, middle eastern, whatever you want to call it....it's insanely delicious. The portion sizes are huge and the ingredients are fresh. Flavors out of this world. Hand carved thinly sliced pieces of chicken, tender, seasoned to perfection. I've never actually seen chicken sliced this thin. I knew it would be a good amount of food so I purchased all this with plans for lunch the next day. The place was very busy with people ordering but the folks working the grill and taking orders were doing a great job tending to everyone. The falafels were balled up and fried to order. The salads for the pita and on the side of my schwarma plate were delicious and bursting with flavor. The schwarma was shaved to order and extremely flavorful. The hummus is some of the best I've had. And the eggplant salad- I might honestly buy a container of it on my next visit. The falafel (apprx 8 dollars) and the full plate (18)- the full plate can definitely feed 2 so order the mini if your not wanting leftovers. total cost was 26 dollars but I got three meals of food, which is a pretty solid deal IMO. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff are eager to help you choose some really great food. We ordered the Shawarma plate, (sliced turkey), with an array of multiple veggie sides. We ordered the Dinner size plate with some warm puffy pita bread. As we sat down for a short wait as our Shawarma was being sliced we saw that they also have a lot of take out orders and pick ups. With the food in front of us we divided the goodies, Hummus, grilled eggplant, red cabbage, grape leaf roll, pickled turnip slices and pickles. This is among the best food I have ever enjoyed!
