Revisited church after many years away and what a pleasant heart warming experience. The pomp and…read morecircumstance of years ago has been replaced with warm fellowship and welcome. Pastor Cara is an asset to the forward thinking needed to keep a church alive and viable in today's climate. She is approachable happy and positive. Her job cannot be easy with an aging congregation. But with her leadership I feel this church will survive. Sunday schools leader is Karen. If you have children don't hesitate it looks fun, engaging and loud! Happy I took time to revisit.

I went inside a couple times during the weekday and there were workers inside who let us use the water machines, which were very sophisticated and tasty refreshing cold water. Friendly people. One problem I had was with the "Jingle" Christmas production they had one year. My parents took me to see it and while it was entertaining, I prefer a more reverent style of Christmas worship. It was so loud and flashy my brother who was around 7 at the time started crying and had to be taken out into the hall.

What can you expect at Richwoods? - Very casual atmosphere so no need to dress super fancy. You can even wear shorts in the summer! - Three services: 6 p.m. on Saturday (coffee shop style worship with popcorn and cookies being served), and 9/11:15 a.m. on Sunday (free donuts and coffee). - Very friendly for families with active ministries for kids, teens and college-aged students. There are even a few nursing rooms with a television inside of them so that you don't miss the sermon. - Contemporary and kind of rocky music. - A church that is "seeker friendly," but also good for Christians who have been walking in their faith a long time (although if you are the latter, definitely get plugged into a small group bible study for richer studies). My experience at Richwoods has been great. Staff is very friendly and sincere. Also had my wedding here, and it was a lovely, modern and minimalist venue. I cannot recall the exact price now, but I believe it was $300 (member)/$600 non-member to have your wedding here.

The public transportation buses don't run concurrent with the neighboring city of Peoria Illinois and Pekin Illinois public transportation doesn't run on the weekend. In addition, I receive disability on the 1st of each month and the 3rd of each month. I suffer from chronic fibromyalgia, herinated disc, vertigo, sciatica nerve damage, restless legs syndrome, migraines, undetermined sinuses carpel tunnel syndrome stemmed from a third degree burn. And I am visually impacted, but I function independently: I manage my own finances with an A+ credit rating - I clean my own apartment and cook, plus I manage my own personal hygiene daily.
