During our stays in LA, we always head to this place as it was not only walking distance from our Airbnb but all of my friends enjoy this place, especially my boyfriend! This spot is so cute! We randomly stumbled upon it just walking down the avenue. I initially saw the claw machines, which drew me in immediately. I was looking for something really refreshing and I got a strawberry slushy. It was more on the creamier side versus ice. Customer service was OK but there's plenty of space to sit at a good place to go chitchat with your friends. Chillin is located directly in front of the Starlight Cinemas. There's street parking as well as parking lots nearby. There's lots to love about Chillin'. I love the mass seating area I walked into. It's welcoming and I could see myself getting easily cozy here. The reason we came here was because they serve macaron ice cream. There's not a lot of places that serve this and so I'm glad we found Chillin. Their menu offers macaron ice creams and there's plenty of favors, boba drinks, coffee included and food. I have been going to this place FOR YEARS but never thought to review it until now. This place is a gem and I always come back for more. The customer service is great. The decor inside is fun to look at and they have cute spots for you to snap some photos. They have little claw machines and merch available to buy. They even have food now, but I've never purchased any of the food here. There are a few places to sit and enjoy your refreshments, but I usually just grab and go. I've had many flavors of boba from here and they're all fantastic but my favorite is the caramel mocha. If you don't know what to get, they have screens with their top ten choices for you to try out. My son got a honeydew smoothie which was also really good. The boba was cooked well too. It's got a potential to be a 5 star spot but between the menu issues and also the inside is big and dark which doesn't quite fit the ambiance so it doesn't quite get there. Chillin', what a unique name for this boba shop located in Old Town Whitter. This is a good spot to hangout and chill with friends with plenty of seating and game machines off to the side for you to play with. They have a varied menu of drinks and food and even serve Fosselman's ice cream which is a local shop in the area. One thing to note is the lighting can be a bit dim but it didn't bother me. I ordered the French Vanilla milk tea and a scoop of Cookies & Cream ice cream. The wait only took around 5-10 minutes. The ice cream was quite delicious with a generous amount of cookie pieces mixed into the creamy ice cream and I ate through it quite fast because it was good haha. The French Vanilla milk tea was ok but quite sweet for me and I would recommend 50% sweetness if you get this drink. The woman who took our order was very nice and happily answered my questions. We both ordered a macaron and some ice cream. I got a raspberry macaron and my friend got a red velvet. I wasn't expecting much so was surprised at the perfect texture of the macaron and the burst of flavor in each one. Excellent macarons! They serve Fosselman's ice cream and have a handful of flavors. I ordered a scoop of espresso coffee in a cup and my pal ordered a scoop of chocolate covered strawberry on a waffle cone. The coffee ice cream had a bold flavor and was quite creamy. I ended up eating half of my too-full-from-lunch friend's ice cream cone and the strawberry was also bold in flavor with bits of strawberry throughout and hints of chocolate in each bite.
