The breaksfasts are delicious and very filling. We stayed in the double en suite room with views out over the garden. There was a television, small bathroom with shower and tea and coffee making facilities. Can't say we were hugely impressed with the UHT milk, but otherwise it was wonderful. It was a very peaceful place considering being in the centre of Stirling. The rates were very reasonable and we were made very welcome and very comfortable during our stay. The other guests were wonderful too. We will most likely go back there again too.

The house and surrounding area was beautiful, our hosts were charming, the rooms had everything we could ever need and the breakfasts were delicious! The location was so close to the train station that we could walk there, and just down the road from local shops and restaurants. We stayed here instead of Edinburgh as we came during peak season and didn't want to pay the premium prices of staying in the city when we could be so close by. And it was a great home base to check out the surrounding attractions. Everything about this place was perfect. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in Scotland.

My room was down the hall and wonderfully comfy with the sofa even though it's very well worn. Other than that, 5 stars for a beautiful location and experience. We stayed at Broomhall castle on our way to the Highlands. Ian is the Manager and he gave me his cable box when mine wouldn't work. He really went above and beyond! The food here was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend checking them out as COVID hit them hard. One other notable thing was the selection of cookies, tea and coffee in the room. Very welcome after a long day of sightseeing. They are very close to the Wallace Monument and then off to Stirling Castle.

The personal touches through interactions with the amazing staff was what really made this an memorable place I'd want to stay again and again! Scott in particular was charming as he made everyone staying there feel at home and entertained us all with entrancing stories and general merriment. It's a beautiful building and it is absolutely worth every penny and was a wildly better experience than other more expensive hotels we've stayed in. It has all the necessities and a lot of luxury too!

Once found , we were very pleased to see parking - rare in Edinburgh. The rooms were well appointed , a little small, and at first extremely noisy. We were on the first floor and could hear the clomping of guests on the exposed wood stairs. The breakfast room was also very near our door and I was thinking there was to be no sleeping - but I was wrong. Somehow , magically , the noise didn't wake us - I am a very light sleeper too. Whatever the sound dynamic was in the place - I slept very comfortably and quietly. If we were going to be spending time in our rooms , I would have found the space restrictive but for a good nights rest , it was great. The only other thing I felt was a head scratcher was the bathroom mirror. Very space age, 3-D type design that completely did not go with the decor. The breakfast room was lovely and the food was very good. The hosts are happy to accommodate your every need. They had umbrellas for the rain and a very nifty call button that summoned a cab in under 10 minutes ! It's location is walkable to some things but since you could have your car on property , it's easy to drive anywhere you want to go within a few minutes. Come and stay and enjoy this cozy gem in the midst of busting Edinburgh.

Breakfast is large gourmet and cooked to order including eggs poached, grilled, or scrambled, black pudding, haggis, sausage, potato scone, bacon, beans, ham and far more options. Specials are prepared on the weekends. This meal is so hardy you won't need lunch. Bedrooms are comfortable, clean, and beautifully appointed. The beds are as comfortable as any top tier hotel. The rooms can be blacked out for a very quiet deep long sleep. I slept better here then I have in months anywhere else. Good free high speed internet that is fast enough to stream video. Ross and Kathleen have created a charming experience that we will return to with every visit to Edinburgh.

The house is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the metro stop is just a short walk from the front door, and the owners, Marion and Frank are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet...it was the perfect place to spend our 2 nights in Glasgow. There is so much to do within walking distance from Ashton, it is the perfect place for those looking to explore Glasgow. The breakfast offerings were coffee or tea, cereals and yogurt, freshly cut fruit, toast, and croissants...no eggs or other hot offerings but sometimes you just can't have everything! Our room was on the small side and Marion offered to let us switch rooms on the second night but for us it was just fine as we really weren't in it much anyways! We shared a bathroom with the room next door which can be a bit awkward at times but everyone staying was very polite and we made it work. Marion even let us park our rental car around back for our stay which we were very grateful for. One notable downside is that they don't offer wi-fi at all which, for us, was a bit of a bummer...but we made do on our phones. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Ashton Glasgow, the location and the hospitality would be very difficult to beat!
