Used to come to Chin Chin at as a kid with my parents, so it was really special coming back and taking my wife for lunch during our Vegas trip. We definitely needed to re-energize after an amazing BTS concert the night before! We ordered the half Chinese chicken salad, Night Market noodles, and General Tso's chicken and I completely forgot how HUGE the portions are here. Honestly, everything was perfect for sharing. The noodles had a really nice little kick to them, and every dish hit the spot. What made the experience even better was our server, Evellyn. Fellow ARMYs always find each other! She was so warm, hospitable, and fun to talk to about BTS. Her service was genuinely amazing, and I wanted to make sure she got recognized for making our lunch extra memorable. Fun spot that's easy to go to with a group, as there is something for everyone. The host was great - I made a reservation for the wrong number of people and she quickly fixed it without making a big deal about it. We order a cabo roll to start with which was fresh and spicy. We also shared the dan dan noodles and the eggplant and tofu. Both were hearty and satisfying. I also had a chin chin mule which was well-prepared. Brunch Review. The selection was limited, but for $28 a person, we thought it was a great choice. I like non-american foods for breakfast, so the Asian selection was a nice option while my husband had the traditional American breakfast items. We ordered takeout on the last day of our trip because we were completely exhausted, and it was the perfect decision! Our food was ready so quickly, which we really appreciated. We got a sushi roll, orange chicken, and chow mein, and everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable, especially for being inside the hotel, and the location couldn't have been more convenient--it was right by the hotel elevators. Chin Chin has been my "go to" Chinese place when i am on the strip for MANY years. Also fun fact, this restaurant debut was Jan 3 1997, the same day that New York New York opened it doors! So yes folks a rarity in Las Vegas, but it has been here since the Resorts opening day...and i can see why. The food here has always been tasty and satisfying. The service is quick and you don't wait long for your food. My go to meal of General Chicken is made in such a way here that i cannot find another restaurant where it tastes on the same level. The restaurant itself is modern and has plenty of seating (including the bar) I hope this restaurant is there for many more years. The prices over the last several years have increased significantly, but somehow it is still worth it! read more

That's crazy that they'd have a Japanese menu with that name... Chin Chin is a restaurant in the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It's trying to fill all the roles of Chinese menu, sushi menu, and American weekend brunch. I ended up going with the Chinese menu since all my dining companions were also leaning that way. The Shrimp Toast ($15.00) is one of their highlighted apps, and it was actually very fun. I'm not sure whether the shrimp is incorporated directly into the toast or what, but the toast feels consistently crispy. The flavor profile fills out nicely when you add both the runny apricot sauce (just pouring it is probably best) and a squeeze of lime. The Night Market Noodles ($27.00) plus beef (+$6.00) feel both similar to but not quite like various stir-fry noodle dishes from some Chinese or maybe Thai background. The sauce is rich and mildly spicy (maybe a 2.5 or 3 out of 10) and the beef is pretty tender but could still be cut a bit down to a more appropriate size for including in every bite. I also tried some of my friend's Peanut Noodles ($28.00) plus tofu (+$5.00). It is peanut-forward and actually quite hearty, and the tofu is crispy when fresh. This and the other noodles are pretty well portioned and we didn't quite finish the two dishes between three of us. We were set on ending the night with something sweet and agreed on the rather out of place Chin Chin Churros ($11.00). The churros were good enough and contained plenty of cinnamon sugar. They actually provided three separate dipping sauces. I enjoyed both the chocolate and caramel sauces, but the raspberry was the star and can't be missed if they actually do ask you to pick just one. I went with an Arnold (Palmer) and they were happy to include a refill in the $5.00 base price. You can customize it a bit, so I had mango tea and mango lemonade and had a very pleasant, lightly sweet sipper to cleanse my palate on occasion between the disparately flavored dishes listed above. Our server went a little missing when we were hoping to order dessert and settle up but otherwise was solid. The atmosphere was comfortable enough despite the dining room being a little dense and busy, and I liked the light-changing paper lanterns on the ceiling. Chin Chin is actually the best entry-level Chinese restaurant I've had so far among the various Strip properties of MGM Resorts. If you're craving that cuisine while stuck on the Strip, this is a solid option. read more

If there's one thing I'm doing is grabbing me a sushi roll and this place didn't miss. I thought it was a buffet but that's just for brunch haha. I got my usual Philly Roll with spicy mayo on the side which was amazing, can't go wrong. But my waitress recommended for my second roll to try the Salmon on the Beach which has cream cheese avocado and shrimp tempura inside it with salmon and scallions on top. Stopped in for a birthday lunch and was so glad that we did. Restaurant wasn't too busy on our waiter was fantastic. He made a suggestion to start with the garlic chili Chris wontons which we did have and we thought were excellent. We also ordered the eggplant tofu with the side of rice. Our waiter advised us that this was a large dish and we could easily share it and I'm glad for the warning because we would have not been able to eat two entrees. Came to this place on Valentine's Day before seeing the Mad Apple. It had great reviews online and did not disappoint. I side was nice, service was good! I like that things were served family style gave us an opportunity to try a few different dishes and definitely made us leave there feeling stuffed. They're portions are large so they are meant to be shared. Also, I had to order my favorite edamame's with sea salt. For dessert, we had a raspberry cheesecake. The raspberry sauce does come on the side for those that don't want it on top of the cheesecake. They also have caramel sauce instead. The vibe of the restaurant was very good. My family and I decided to dine here for dinner. We were seated immediately. We ordered a couple appetizers and then our entrees and had it family style. Appetizers: Garlic chili wontons, shrimp toast, chicken lettuce wraps Soups: Wonton Soup, Hot & Sour Soup Entrees: Sweet and Sour Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Night Market Noodles. We returned to Chin Chin during this trip to Vegas and arrived late after the Kà show. The only seating available was at the bar. Keiser, the bartender was very nice and professional. He custom made a cocktail for my friend, which we later called it Tanqurine of Las Vegas. My wife had the Beauty of Las Vegas, and I had the Paradise and Pleasure. We had some Hot n Sour Soup, a fried noodles with shrimp, a pad Thai with shrimp, and the Mongolian beef. The food was delicious. There is another female bartender who offered glasses of water and chatted with us. The foodrunner knew exactly who hot what, and the food came out fast. I was very pleasantly surprised with this little restaurant inside New York New York! My friend who comes to Vegas a lot really likes it so we came together. They had very reasonable prices on sushi rolls and other dishes, but we ended up getting 5 sushi rolls and some dumplings and edamame (appetizers) and just sharing everything. When we left we were all stuffed. Our server was also very attentive and kind! I was also pretty impressed with the quality of the sushi; I got one of the rolls with eel, and the taste was very good! Additionally we were seated very fast when we arrived, there was almost no wait time. The bathrooms you can use are just the ones in the main casino area, they're very clean and well kept. Something I also appreciated is that the restaurant seated us far enough in the back that I couldn't smell the cigarette smoke coming from the casino floor. I'm very sensitive to it (I have asthma) plus I just think it smells bad in general so it easily could have made the meal really unpleasant but it's a big enough place that if you sit in the back it's not an issue. Overall - this place didn't blow my socks off but it was a very reasonable sit down Asian restaurant with good service and solid food. It's a Vegas 5/5, though I would say a general 4.4/5? If you're staying at New York New York, this is the place to visit for dinner! Although this restaurant is located in the casino, the ambiance was great! For our drink orders, I asked my waitress what her recommendations were. She definitely knew her stuff because she was able to explain and meet my taste needs in my alcoholic drink. Make sure you ask your waiter/waitress. As for food, my family knows the good stuff. Here's what we got: Stick pork ribs: it was so bang for your buck. BUT I will say it was really salty! If they just tone down on the salt it would be perfect. Yang Chow Fried Rice: 10/10 I loved it. The combination of rice and other food items in the mix made it perfect. Beef Chow Fun Noodles dry: 100/10 my favorite. This place hands down makes it the best in Vegas for me. It wasn't oily or too wet. Shrimp Walnut: 10/10 so good. The shrimp was so flavorful and the walnuts were cooked to perfection. Garlic beans: 100/10 YOU MUST GET THESE. They were so good to eat as a palate cleanser or just wanting some greens. It was a cool little spot in the New York eatery area and I loved the decor. I was excited to get some hot and sour soup and then I had the Mongolian beef as my main entree. So happy to finally try this place! Perfect spot for a date night, cute inside looks small but has good amount of seating. Service was great. The food and dessert was amazing! My only negative was the first drink I got was a little too sweet and just a few sips it was almost empty so I felt wasn't worth the price at least but my next drink I got a dirty martini which was great. We got the chili garlic wontons super light and delicious lots of flavor, also had to try a sushi roll since I hear their sashimi is always fresh, for entree we shared general tso chicken- def a must try. Our server, Kurt, wasn't very friendly. Cussing up a storm in front of guests with his nose turned up like we are beneath him. Especially since i had my kids with me too. It was very unprofessional. This was okay for me. I was excited to see the reviews and comments about this place but was disappointed. The pepper steak was not fresh. Seemed like it was cooked for a long time and served. You can see it's dried up. The chili oil was the saving grace. It was good, spicy and well seasoned. Also served in this nice cute serving jar. But had oil drippings on the side. Not sure it if was just plucked from another customer's table and straight to mine. The bar area was good. I was able to sit down asap and it wasn't loud. Chin Chin located in NYNY Las Vegas is a good option for Asian fusion in a fun and lively setting. The variety of menu options was impressive, and while expensive overall, the prices were fair for Vegas. While the service was decent, there were a couple of items missed or forgotten, but it was a very busy Saturday night. The high point of the visit was the food, and after all, that is what really matters. We started with chili wontons and the sauce was amazing. For our entrees we had orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, pad thai, and kung pao. The noodle dishes were the best choices, however all of the portions were good sized and had good flavor. The kung pao chicken wasn't the best quality, however the orange chicken was excellent and a must try. They make several house ice teas and I would recommend trying those instead of soft drinks. Overall, we had a very good meal and I would put Chin Chin high on the list of affordable Asian fusion strip options. read more
