The food was delivered hot and fast! My reason for three stars was quality of food some of it was really good and some of it was a pass. I ordered the pu pu platter the egg roll not sure didn't even try it, crab Rangoon was filled and pretty good, chicken wing didn't look appealing, shrimp puff was all puff with a tiny piece of shrimp in it, didn't try the chicken nugget (found it strange to be in a Chinese food plate) the rib was an actual huge rib and it was really good. Won ton soup was good flavor wise but the skins are way too thick almost like pot sticker skins, they were stuffed tho and very large. The Mongolian beef looks good but I didn't try it. I think I'm picky cause I grew up in the Bay Area with good Chinese food. So far the stuff I've found here is mostly Americanized. I'll try it again with some other dishes since it is close to my house. read more

My husband picked this up for a night of gaming and he said it was amazing! I only got to try the wonton soup, the first time. The soup was more flavorful than normal wonton soup, it had a little kick to it and I was convinced I needed to try it myself. When we ordered again, I got the chicken with mixed veggies dish and it was really good. The veggies were cooked to perfection and the chicken was good too. The rice was fluffy and delicious. I'll never skip an egg roll, also delicious. And the shrimp chips with the soup were divine. Would recommend. read more

Normally their food is pretty good but my last order was sub-par for them. The Lo Mein was OK, but the eggroll I received was overcooked, almost burned, and the orange beef wasn't at all spicy, didn't taste like orange, and the beef itself was hard to find; I ordered orange beef because the beef is not normally breaded and fried but this time it was, and the beef was non-existent, there were just deep fried blobs of batter. I truly don't think most of the blobs had beef in them. I will be trying another place next time I want this style of food. read more

Great takeout food with plenty of room to eat in as well. We ordered sesame chicken (no tofu that day), Hunan beef, vegetable fried rice, some pork egg rolls, a vegetable egg roll, and some steak on a stick. All of the food was great and we had plenty for leftovers, which I love. The egg rolls were actually crispy when I got home!!! (Must be magic...) I've been coming to this place for a FAT minute, right? Went for lunch today for the first time and was honestly slightly disappointed. Chicken was overcooked and the wonton soup was like warm like a mug. Everyone always complains about how quick the woman over the phone hangs up on you after you say that's it, but lowkey idk I think it's hilarious that's just how they are lmao. Pork fried rice has barely any pork in it at all . More like a couple flakes of pork here and there. There was literally nothing else in it . Eggrolls we just about empty . Been to quite a few Chinese restaurants. This was not the worst tasting but definitely feel ripped off . Will not be ordering from here again . read more

This is my new go-to Chinese take-out and delivery fix! The reviewers who said China Bay has excellent sesame chicken were not kidding - that stuff seriously melts in your mouth. For an inexpensive, somewhat run-of-the-mill takeout place, the food is always better than the competition. There's even a small eating area if you are craving Chinese (American) but aren't going home! More later - for now, give it a try if you are looking for good Chinese food in the neighborhood! 4 stars, for me, means that it's a nice establishment with no glaring flaws but nothing particularly outstanding to push it into '5' territory. read more

Consistent quality. Very fair portions for the price. Crab rangoon and egg drop soup is my go-to here. These aren't cream cheese wontons or soup filled with frozen veggies or tofu. I chose this place based on yelp reviews. It leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered Bourbon chicken on the lunch special. There was plastic in my food(photo provided). The chicken drowning in sauce did not cover up the old chicken they delivered to me. I called and they graciously and quickly delivered a new order but it wasn't fresh chicken. But, it had no plastic in it this time so that's an improvement. I'm not sure if I'll venture here again, so far the outlook isn't good. We ordered a large Shrimp Lo Mein, which is normally pretty good. I took 1 bite and so did my partner and we had to spit it out. It tasted like SOAP! I couldnt believe it. We called and politely explained the situation and she yelled at me through the phone, and told me they dont use soap to clean their grills, only water...(which is already weird to me) but the lady told me I can bring the food with me and get a refund.... I came with the food and politely told her we never have issues here and always loved this place, then hands me crumpled cash (which didnt add up to the amount I paid for it) and says "Go find somewhere else." So its safe to say, after 5 years of coming to China Bay, we will be going elsewhere. Their customer service was terrible and she was very disrespectful. read more

The language barrier is horrible. I ordered stir fried rice and received shrimp fried rice. When I called to get another order, I was told I asked twice, you said shrimp fried rice. I would never order shrimp. I am allergic, and it just looks nasty. So now I paid 14 bucks to go hungry. read more

I use to live a few blocks away and would order take out at least once a week sometimes twice a week. Love their low mein (best in town) and crab Rangoon! I was there earlier today for my girl and I. I ordered "bourbon chicken combo" with fried rice, and an egg roll. I got home. We started eating the food. Found multiple pieces of hair within the meat/chicken. I took it back. Asked for a refund, and only got part of my refund not on my card which I used at the time of purchasing, but part of the money back in cash bc my girl took a bite out of the egg roll...he seemed upset at me also which really frustrated me, but I kept my feelings to myself. Ok, nothing to brag about. The beef with peppers and onions with rice was good, however, the Crab Rangoon was disgusting! I threw it away, and the chicken teriyaki was tiny chunks of chicken with no sauce and diced onions and peppers. Nothing like their picture. It came with pork "fried" rice that was steamed yellow rice with nothing in it. No pork or any sign of vegetables. I was very disappointed. This usually results in a botched order, but last night was especially bad. Exactly half my order arrived and when I realized, I called back and told the owner. She assured me it would arrive shortly. I thought that because she didn't tell me she needed my cc/ info again that this was gratis because of my continued inconvenience with their inconsistency. But no, the delivery driver expected 11.50. I have to call back and call in the cc/info again meanwhile, the first delivery is cold at this point. I visited China Bay this evening for the first time. I'm new to Old Brooklyn area, so I was hesitant to try a local Chinese restaurant. I'm so glad I did! I ordered Moo Shu chicken and veggie fried rice. They were excellent. The fried rice is some of the best I ever had and the Moo Shu with the pancakes and hoisin sauce was just what I needed for a hump day dinner. I will be back! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would! The customer service especially from the lady who always answers the phone is horrible!!!! its always been bad, but I still was a long time 10+ year customer. Today she was so rude it was disgusting! She answered the phone to put me on hold while leaving the phone on the counter. They hAve multi phones so I can hear her answer other calls and still leaving me on "hold." She took 3 other calls for delivery and the phone was still never picked up. I hung up and called back and shared my frustration and asked for my order to go before the other 3 orders I heard he take a call....she said okay. I started to order what I wanted and she told me they are too busy to make what I wanted. I ordered something different, something I didn't really want. I asked for a free egg roll or something to compensate me for the neglect of a call and not able to order what I really wanted to order. Every time I've ordered from them the experience is very complicated. The person taking my delivery order spoke very little English and they were extremely rude! They change their delivery minimum charge to be whatever they want it to be based on their mood and attitude! Sometimes is based on how busy they are in ranges from $10-$30. When the food gets to you after 45 minutes to an hour it's luke warm And tasteless I would recommend choosing a different restaurant for better service and better food. read more
