This is a seriously cute family-run place located in a strip mall off Babcock. While you won't find much more than your classic Asian-Americanized dishes, what they do is quite good. Service was wonderful and I got to chat with the lady running the front desk while someone (her husband? son?) cooked in the back. Got a couple dishes to go, and they were pretty tasty. The mushroom chicken is delish, and kudos to them for sending out the sweet n' sour pork without pouring on the sauce. It came in a separate container for us to pour, ensuring that the pork bits stayed crispy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Pretty basic for a Chinese restaurant nothing to write home about but I will write a review for y'all. Not sure about the soup seemed heavy on the egg and not very hot. I used to live down the street but I never had considered trying it until recently. Based on their rating, I was hoping for some reliable Chinese food and that this could be a spot I frequent. I really liked that they offered a dinner combo special. For my order, I opted for the Beef and Broccoli, General Tso's chicken. The meal included fried rice and an egg roll. Also grabbed an order of rangoons for my wife. I had placed the order online which was very convenient. I arrived to pick up my order and found it was ready to go. The female who helped ring me up was pleasant. There weren't any other patrons in the restaurant at the time of my visit. Seems like this is a place where take out is more prevalent versus dining in. The meal itself wasn't very hot temperature wise, but it was still edible. I had asked for it to be made extra spicy but that request seemed to be ignored. The food was okay, just nothing really stood out. The best part may have been the egg roll. I went here because of the reviews, but was disappointed about the food and tea. The restroom was clean which I was happy about. But the tea tasted old and not clean. The egg drop was really yellow and looked over cooked and the taste was overpowering with salt. The rice wasn't to my liking either or the sesame chicken also found a small bone in the chicken. Ordered Lo Mein with fried rice and the large Shrimp friend rice. The fried rice had a bad taste to it today and the only response I received is that they will talk to the chef. A small but amazing low key inexpensive Chinese food place. I believe that it's a family business. Extremely friendly folks. Their young son is already an expert in greeting & seating people. I even observed him clean up a customer table after they ate. Their teenage daughter took my order for General Tso's lunch special with free egg drop soup and egg rool, all for $6.50. I asked for my chicken to be extra crispy. It was done to perfection -- delicious. Probably the best General Tso's I've had in TX. They had a special plum sauce on each table for their egg roll. The sauce was amazing with the already delicious egg roll. The complimentary crunchy fried noodles was likewise delicious. I was also surprised with a complimentary yummy cookie. UPDATE: Just letting all know that I found out that this restaurant has been under new ownership since just about 2 years ago. I think the new owners are a lot better based on my experience and the reviews I've read. I think they deserve a break from us reading reviews before 2017. read more

Honestly I think this place deserves more ratings, the food is so dang good! I got the combo lo mein and it tastes so rich and flavorful as my mom says to anything she thinks tastes so good. The crab Rangoon are crispy and the spring rolls are also crispy and flavorful. My mom got rice noodles and they tasted like it was cooked with peanut oil or something. The flavor of the oil was rich and awesome. My brother got the sesame chicken and my goodness it was so sweet and savory. The rice he got with it smelled so good and I think it was basmati. The egg drop soup came with the crispy chips and they were good- not greasy as I've found in the past. My meal also came with 2 scoops of rice which is nice as most of the time, after the 1st scoop, you are wishing for a little more to finish off the meal, the egg roll was also hot and crispy- not refried. By far the best food I've had in San Antonio! Coming from Florida, I found it hard to find a restaurant that served good Chinese food, until I found this place. I've only ordered pick up, and every time the food is piping hot! My go to are the lunch and dinner specials in which you can usually get an entree served with rice, with a side of soup and one appetizer of your choice. I've had the chicken with broccoli, beef with broccoli, and lo mein, and all tasted delicious. I also always order the egg drop soup and it has a great consistency and is never thin! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE WASTE THEIR MONEY HERE! Every 4-5 star review for this place is a damn lie! One word describes this food, "disgusting!" Lemon chicken was the worst I've ever tried. I tried 2 bites of one slice and I couldn't force myself to eat it. Sesame chicken had no sesame seeds and was the cheapest, fattest part of a chicken. My wife ate half a piece and had me try it. I can't even describe the taste it was so bad. The lady asked if I wanted something else and I said no. I didn't want to try anything else after 2 major fails on common American Chinese food dishes.
