    Hot pot

Great hot pot. Great sauce bar. Good meat selection. Great vegetables and mushroom selection. All around Great place to eat. It can get a bit noisy but this is a place to come with a group to eat and socialize so that is expected. The staff are very attentive and good comes out fast. For experienced hot pot eaters this is a great spot. For people new to hot pot it may seem overwhelming. The staff will help you out though so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Very good herbal medicine soup base, the spicy one is very spicy. Good portion of veggies, meats, and other ingredients. Good sauce bar too. Price is reasonable. Would come again!

Always hits the spot when I'm craving hot pot. I'm a fan of the classic spicy soup base over the new Sichuan spicy soup but the latter is still really good. Typically get 1/2 spicy and 1/2 herbal for a nice balance. Meat quality might not be as great as KPot at least for the beef, but still solid. Love that they have watercress and fried tofu skin. There's a sauce bar and dessert (cake and assortment of ice cream/ popsicles). They also have bibs available on request.

We went for a friends birthday and the food was amazing! The sauce bar had a great selection and tasted great with our hotpot. The meat and veggies all tasted fresh and they also had some good fried sides. The service was also great, they kept bringing our food out quickly after we ordered. Great place for large parties!

Happy 10th Anniversary! I love this place. Cordial and friendly staff. Awesome fresh veggies. Sliced meat. All you can eat in allotted time. I've been coming here for 7 years ... never disappointed! Try it and fall in love with the staff, the food and keep coming back for more!

Been here years ago and stopped here again recently before flying back to Indiana. It's an all you can eat style hot pot place. Large menu choice and you of course can ask for the split pot. It is the one pot for the table style which I love! Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing. Lovely staff! Can't wait to go back! (And my dad really loved it. He hasn't had hot pot in decades and really enjoyed it!)

This was so much fun! My first time doing hot pot out at a restaurant and not just at my friend's house and it was a really neat experience. We started with making our own sauces up at their serve yourself bar which has everything you need to make a tasty sauce. I made one that was really salty and savory and one that was more on the peanut/sesame side, although both were great. We did a split bowl of spicy broth on one side and the regular one on the other and then basically tried a little bit of most of what they had to offer. The beef and the shrimp were my favorite of the meats, although the chicken dipped in the peanut sauce was also great. Such a fun experience but get there early as they tend to fill up fast!

I came here with 2 coworkers and we all LOVED IT. We ate an insane amount and I thought the price was more than fair. My two coworkers arrived over 20 minutes after I did and even though the wait staff came by a few times they never rushed me to order or made me feel bad. We also weren't rushed to give up the table even though they were clearly very busy, and we ordered multiple rounds of food without any judgment, which I really appreciated. The food all came out in a timely fashion, we ate until our hearts content, and the food and hot pot broth was all delicious. I also loved the sauce bar, seriously if every restaurant had a sauce bar I think we'd all win. China Hot Pot is obviously doing really well for itself so I don't need to recommend it, but I would go back in a heart beat.

Doraville is no stranger to great Asian food and this is a great place for hot pot with authentic flavors and a modern twist. Of course, one of the modern twists is the self-delivering machines that bring a very hot pot over to you. Genius! But in addition to that, the flavors in the hot pot and the numbing spice is something that is extremely addicting. The meat is fresh and I would definitely err on the side of ordering less as the portions are quite big. Honorable mention to the scallion pancakes!

We came here to enjoy a nice warm meal on Christmas and had an amazing time! The place was pretty busy, so we called ahead to reserve a table. It's AYCE, and you mark the food you want on a paper menu. Drinks are not included. There is also a comprehensive sauce bar. The servers were attentive and very kind and made this a special holiday meal! We went with the split pot (nutritional and spicy). The spicy is definitely very spicy, but not the mala numbing type of spicy. The nutritional was flavorful as well. We ordered a lot of food, and overall felt it was good value (around $31 a person). Everything tasted fresh, and the handmade items (noodles and pancakes) were especially tasty. - Would highly recommend: taro, handmade noodles, pumpkin pancake, red bean pancake, mussels, squid, bean curd - Would pass on: fish fillet (tasted a little too fishy), pork bun (not the best flavor and the bun was a bit hard) - Other items that we ordered and enjoyed: sliced beef, beef tripe, lotus root, cuttlefish ball, fish tofu, fried tofu, enoki mushroom, Napa cabbage, scallion pancake, chives pancake, vermicelli

TL;DR - If you want an all-you-can-eat hot pot and decent quality food, this is a must-try location in ATL. Be aware that there might be a long wait during busy hours, and the service is subpar.  Service: This is the worst part of my dining experience. A waitress asked me three times asking if I could eat all the food I ordered. Otherwise, they will charge me for it. She urged me to cancel my order. The wait time can be longer depending on when you show up. There is a signup sheet once you arrive. Make sure you look for it on the front counter. In addition, if the restaurant is busy, they will combine your party with another at a big table. If that bothers you potentially, avoid rush hour. Sometimes, when I show up and there are plenty of seats open, it still takes them a while to seat me, and the restaurant didn't even look like it was lacking help at the time. Food: There are plenty of options available on their menu. I always load it up with beef, vegetables, and noodles. I don't have much to say about them. Beef slices are mostly frozen.  Even with the subpar service, I will return when craving some hot pot. I think the pricing is good for the service and food they offer.

Food thumbs up you should try the spicy broth, scalon pancake, and pumpkin pancake. My wife like the cleanest of the dishware. Thumbs up for service, if you are visiting like me I recommend trying here before you go

Ask the Community - China Hot Pot

Do they serve chicken or vegetarian broth too?

There's vegetarian broth but I don't think there's chicken based

Can you dine in the place?

Can two people share one order? If not, can three people order two and share? My husband and i cannot eat much at all but love to try it. Thank you!

It's AYCE with a communal pot, so it is meant to be shared. Order as much or little as you want. It's about $19/person.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

But the green beans with pork were my favorite. The pork medallions were so tender. The salt and pepper shrimp was lacking of flavor. The corn chicken soup was great, so was the hot and sour. But their wonton was a hit and I crave more. The restaurant is nicely preserved in time I feel. There are so many celebrities with photos who have come and gone from this world. Drinks: I got the strawberry lemon drop drink. It was good and did come with the vodka flavor with natural strawberry syrup. It was good. The vegetable dumpling was good! On to the main entree was the House Lo Mein. It was just average and not the greatest I've tried. It took a minute before our server came back. To me it needed more flavor, seasoning and it didn't have any spice what's so ever! I wouldn't get it again. The thing I found annoying/unprofessional was the staff taking forever to give me and my friend out checks. We came into the establishment an hour before they closed. At that time a lot of people were still in the place. However, by the time we received our checks we were the last people in their establishment. The other individuals were the workers cleaning up. We tried to get a server to come to our table sooner but wasn't successful. This is my sole opinion but I wasn't over impressed over food.

Cucumber salad had a nice balanced heat and was a heaping amount. Slightly too much oil in the marinade weighed it down. Pork dumplings were boiled so there was not a fried option. A huge portion and even taste. The dipping sauce was too spicy for our party so we switched to soy sauce instead. Would recommend the edamame because they give you a large portion making this worth it. Beef noodle soup with extra beef (accidentally ordered by our party). Large chunks of beef that wasn't dried out and well seasoned. The star was the flat noodles which had a wholesome taste and good amount of chewiness that hits the palate well. The sour and hot lamb dumpling soup was just okay. Again, big portion but seasoning was a little lacking. Had a good portion of glass noodles and bean sprouts. The sauce again was a little too much on the oily side so I don't think I'd order this again. The customer service was also not very personable. I didn't like the ordering on their screen. It made it a little confusing adding items and turned into us ordering more than we wanted, each time with a surcharge. Tipping is optional. I guess I was just hoping this place would live by the hype but it just fell a little flat. Maybe would try the dry flat noodle option necktie time.

Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more.
