Seafood fried rice with an eggroll and a drink of your choice for $3.99. Very good deal!
    Maria W.

I could ask my boyfriend a million times why haven't you taken me to this nice cheap Chinese restaurant and you know what he'd tell me? Oh, Maria there isn't any good restaurants on my side of town..but nope wait you are wrong... Here's China One, a super duper inexpensive cheap on the dollar restaurant that doesn't charge you extra for anything. Even the catering plates are cheap, just $25 for a whole tub of food..perfect for someone who doesn't like to cook and can eat for about 2 weeks.. They got some specials and some good specials...my seafood fried rice I ordered was only $3.99 for all that food, a veggie eggroll, and a drink of your choice..now I've never been to a Chinese take out place where the prices were that low..I thought I was in heaven dreaming when I seen that. Now, the seafood fried rice, I've never had in my whole entire life usually Chinese restaurants would have chicken, pork, beef, tofu, or even plain fried rice, but not just a seafood with crab meat and shrimp in it..that was a big score for me because I absolutely love seafood..not the phrase see food..like I see it and eat it..but ocean food. The taste was on point delicious and I tell you what I still have some in the fridge waiting for me to eat..I might even scrambled me some eggs and eat it in the morning for breakfast. The interior of the restaurant was OK nothing special; looked like an average Asian restaurant to me just some tables and chairs, pictures of the menu items in English and Spanish to read, a cooler filled with sodas, waters, canned juices, no alcohol though. Once you get to the counter to order it isn't all special, just look to your right and you'll see the pictures. Oh and they did have some cute paper lanterns that I seen at IKEA once. I used to tell people that I didn't like Chinese food because since I moved back to Houston I couldn't find any good Chinese restaurant in my area or in Houston, but this one is pretty darn good though it isn't near my house. I prefer Vietnamese since it is more of a variety and the food is yummy all the time. Anywho, whenever I'm craving Chinese which my body is starting to crave some now I will definitely come here.. I just wonder why isn't there cheap Chinese restaurants like this in my neighborhood..I mean Scarsdale is packed with Asian restaurants and shopping centers..but none of them are cheap like this spot! This place doesn't suck and the food wasn't cooked in old oil like they do at McDonald's----come here!! Food is good and you won't break the bank!

    Soup yummy

Oh my goodness they have the best soups and I love soup! One of my favorite spots for lunch.

Sorta virtuous...hey, there's a lot of veg under there!

Can you eat relatively healthy (if not keto or clean) at a Chinese Buffet? Yes. Yes, you can. One trip for sautéed chicken for protein and green beans and some moo goo gai pan vegetables made me feel virtuous. I treated myself to an egg roll in place of meh dessert calories. Service for a buffet is quick and always friendly.

Ordered delivery. It was on time. Food was hot but did not like the egg rolls or the Kung pao shrimp. Pork dumplings were ok.

Hot chicken + styrofoam= bad idea. Please throw a sheet of foil down. I didn't want to eat any pieces that surely had melted polystyrene

Horrible service. They forgot not one but TWO items from our order. Total of almost $20 worth of food missing. Super sad and disappointing.

The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. This place is definitely a go to if I'm convincing a friend of Houston's great food scene! Rating: 4.5/5

My friend Aurora wanted to meet Donna early dinner and gossip session and she really liked this place. (We tried having a team lunch at the Rice Village location during the cold front last Oct but they had no heat so we opted for a warmer place but she grabbed a to go on the way home) Here we are for a late lunch 3:45 pm on a Friday. Parking was none had to drive around the block and saw some movement and bam, someone was leaving. We ordered at the bar, staff was super nice and opted to sit outside. Did not realize they deliver to the table. Order: Mongolian beef combo with fried rice and egg roll $14.99 The food comes in takeaway style containers. Win. Mongolian beef (2.5/5) - slightly over sauced for me; beef was pretty tender and there were carrots and edamame which is not the standard so maybe that's what makes it fusion? Fried rice (3/5) - standard style fried with small pieces of bean sprouts which I love so that was a nice surprise Egg roll (3/5) - I assume it was chicken because I didn't realize there was a choice) - it was crunchy and soft on the inside which I like, and pairs well with sriracha (did not eat till I got home) They seem to do a whole lot of take away. The staff were nice and hard working. I was excited when they first opened bc they had chow fun on the menu and being HK Cantonese, I love that dish but when I ordered it the 1st and 2nd time eight years ago instead of bean sprouts they had cabbage and that alters rhe flavor tremendously. I see why it's popular among the people but just don't think it is for my taste.

She immediately asked what we wanted in a rude tone, which set an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
