Food was amazing, hot and fresh! The egg drop soup and egg rolls were perfect. It was so good, I will never eat Chinese food anywhere else.

We love this for what it is--great, greasy Americanized Chinese food. It's not glamorous but the food is good!

I came here on my lunch break while running some last-minute Christmas errands in the area. Of…read morecourse, I turned to Yelp and searched for a good local spot, which led me here. After reviewing the menu, I called to place a pickup order. The gentleman on the phone tried to upsell me on adding sushi rolls, but I declined and added the spring rolls instead. He said it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted and remitted $17 for the drunken noodles with tofu and the spring rolls. He offered the sushi rolls again and explained the ins and outs of their bogo specials. He then told me he was still working on my order and asked me again about the spice level. It didn't take much more than 10 minutes total. As the gentleman was bagging my order up, he warned me that he "made the noodles saucy so that they would travel well" and that he "bagged the drunken noodles separately. Which, even at the time, I was concerned was an excuse, because he put too much sauce in the noodles. Even though I took it to go, I did not plan to travel with the food; instead, I planned to eat it close by and enjoy the weather. As he handed me the bag, I noticed he'd spotted some sauce on it, but didn't wipe it off and just handed it to me anyway. This may seem like a minor detail, but I think it's essential to pay attention to these little details, especially if they could cause a mess or inconvenience for the customer, and for general cleanliness. Thankfully, I spotted it as well, and I was very cautious. A few minutes later, I opened up the bags and decided to start with the noodles, which were already leaking quite a bit into the bag after a short walk to the car. The noodles were broken up because they were overcooked, and the dish was literally swimming in sauce. The ratios of every component were off compared to traditional drunken noodles. It did not seem like a cohesive dish at all. There was a lot of garnish, which I think could have added flavor, but didn't help with the disjointed feel. It was beautifully presented, but who cares if it's pretty when it's poorly executed? The taste wasn't bad, but the overcooked noodles and excessive amount of sauce and garnish really ruined it. The sad thing is that the tofu was perfectly cooked (though scant), and the garnish was super fresh. The spring rolls were actually inedible. They tasted like they had been in the freezer or refrigerator for a long time, and they were so salty and mushy on the first bite that I could not finish them. (If you ever made salt clay as a child, this is what it tasted like and had the mouth feel of. I had to pull over to throw it all away for fear it would ruin my car interior with all the sauce if I kept driving, and to grab a Coke to wash down the lingering flavor of the spring rolls. Overall, this restaurant felt really short for me. I don't know if it was just a bad day, but unfortunately, I won't be back, even though I've seen other folks have better experiences. As the adage goes, "You only get one chance to make a first impression.

I love Pan-Asian food and this was some of the best food I had in a really long time!!! Jackson (the owner) came out to meet me, explained the menu and mentioned Thursdays are BOGO free I told him not from The area...and after looking over the menu...I ordered the chicken gyoza (dumplings) and the chicken pad Thai. Jackson came out and brought the food and had me to look at it to make sure it was appealing and what I wanted...it looked so good I started eating immediately! Everything was hot and fresh! I ended up with extra peanut sauce and chilli sauce with my pad Thai and I always get a lime to squeeze on too before I eat! Absolutely best pad Thai I had in a very, very long time!!! And the dumplings I dipped in the side sauce and were hot, and extra crispy!!! This review does not do this place justice! I'm definitely coming back here!!! (3.25 stars) Casual dining may be declining nationally, but…read moreevidently Sixty Six Grill didn't get the memo. It's in that same TGI Friday's/Ruby Tuesday/Applebees tier, yet its full parking lot suggests brisk business. The location - it sits on a busy stretch of 66 - may explain some of that though Sixty Six isn't without other virtues. Spacious and well-staffed, Sixty Six isn't the kind of place where you'll have to wait long to find a table or receive food. It's dark and a bit noisy but not headache-inducingly loud. The menu is decently large, boasting everything from apps and wings to burgers and sandwiches to Tex Mex and pizza. There aren't any real surprises, but there's enough variety to accommodate most diets. For our lunchtime visit, my wife and I split a fried pickles app followed by a jalapeno burger (with sweet potato fries) and a Nashville chicken sandwich (with chips), respectively. Admittedly, the fried pickles didn't make for a very attractive-looking plate. Instead of golden brown pickle chips, there were thicker, lightly battered slices. However, they tasted just fine and paired well with a zesty dipping sauce. Speaking of zesty sauces, the chicken sandwich had it aplenty, and it made for a satisfyingly messy bite. The chips were homemade and rated above average. Unfortunately, Sixty Six overcooks its meats. Under all the sauce, the chicken itself was a bit dry. My wife ordered her burger medium well and received it well beyond well done. As with the chicken, it was still flavorful despite the doneness issues. On food alone, Sixty Six isn't a strong draw, but factor convenience and versatility into the mix, and it becomes a solid lunch option.

I really wish Winston Salem had a great Banh Mi available. There are some good Pho restaurants but…read morethey don't serve Banh Mi usually and when they do it's not quite the authentic version I'm looking for. I had the Banh Mi at What Da Pho in the past and remember it was good so that's what I ordered this time. Additionally we ordered crab wontons and summer rolls. The restaurant is a little hidden but if you park in the parking structure adjacent to the restaurant it's super easy to get inside. First impressions are it's quiet- no music in the dining room, and the decor is sort of an afterthought with scotch tape holding LED lights to the walls and some Asian inspired pictures but not very well thought out. It's Ok, I'm not coming for the decor. The service is a little lacking. They are giving the bare minimum here so don't expect your server to be too friendly. The crab wontons and summer rolls arrived quickly. The crab wontons were super hot and crispy right from the deep fryer. They were filled with a delicious imitation crab and cream cheese mixture and when dipped in the sweet chili sauce they were exactly the thing I was craving. The summer rolls were equally as fresh and delicious. The filling of cold rice noodles, crisp lettuce and shrimp then dipped in the accompanying peanut sauce was just as delicious. We ordered one pork and one beef Banh Mi. The first thing I noticed was how plentiful the meat was in each one. Usually it's a light sandwich but these were very hefty in comparison to others I've had. My meat was very savory and had a very tender texture, almost like pot roast. It was also the juiciest pork I've ever had in a Banh mi. The picked vegetables were also really good but both our sandwiches were missing the jalapeno I've come to expect. My husband really enjoyed his beef one as well but we both noticed how the bread lacked that crusty flaky quality that Vietnamese baguettes normally have. This was more of a sub roll with a chewy texture and softer crust. The flavors were great, I just missed the textures I have come to expect in an authentic Banh mi. Our spot in Greensboro will still be my favorite but when I don't want to trek out that far, I can get my fix at What Da Pho.
