I am a little surprised at all of the great ratings. China Sea offers both Chinese and Thai options, so I have ordered from there twice - to try each. I will not be ordering from there again. Ordered the Pad See Ew and it was the worst I have ever had - random chunks of zucchini thrown in there, which was not complementary and not something i have ever experience in this dish before. The noodles were mealy and as I was eating, fell apart and created a sort of hash that was incredibly unpleasant. Did not finish it. Ordered orange chicken the second time and was equally disappointed. Chicken was tough and did not have much flavor. I will say, that the delivery was incredibly quick, so if you are looking for fast and reliable delivery, they seem to be consistent there. Do not get food here! 1. The lady owner is not friendly. She was full time annoyed when I was placing my order. She was irritrated when she told me there is a difference in chow mein and chow mein fun noodles. Her ugly attitude continued during the entire time placing my order. This is a very good indication that this is how she regularly treats customers. No way yushould treat customers with bad attitude. You know she is saying bad when she speaks in no English. Lesson, don't buy and leave. 2nd. After leaving with a bad experience, I checked my receipt and found that she overcharged. The menu price is 8.95, but she rang up $$ 9.55, which is the price for a different dish. Similarly for the second dish, the menu price is 9.10 but she rang up $$9.60. I was angry; with the price increase, she automatically gave herself a $1.15 tip that she does not deserve! Why would she falsely entered different prices? Let me guess, she wants to collect more money from unknowing customers. So be warned, check her if ever you order from here. The 6% tax is separate in the bill. Lesson, check the receipt and refund or leave. 3rd. Her husband's cooking is not really good. The food was ordinary. He cooked my order for 5 minutes. This means he lacks the skill to cook real good food, and there were no other customers to cook for. What can you expect with the front person that is lousy, you know the kitchen is bad as well. Best Chinese takeout in all of Frederick! Their General Tso's is on point and their Crispy Beef is to die for!

My Daughter has an allergic reaction to Rice but wanted to order a lunch special. We asked if they could substitute the rice for something else and got a flat NO! So I asked if the rice could be packaged separate from the meal so she would not have contact with the rice, again she said NO! We told her this was an allergy issue and I'm quite sure they have other containers they could've used so I felt like they just didn't care. Very poor customer service in my opinion and certainly not food restrictive friendly!! Not only did they loose a new customer by their response but now I'm warning you too. Very sad because I heard from others this was a good place to eat. There are to many other places to eat in Frederick to treat customers this way!! Ordered from here for the 1st time. The chicken and string beans had no flavor and the string beans were undercooked also very little chicken. I called for delivery and was told they only use uber eats or door dash. Will not be ordering again. read more

Really good Chinese food. Hot and sour soup, anything in garlic sauce, general Tso's chicken with white rice ...my favorite. All delicious . Their portions are generous and foods take very fresh. Whenever I visit my friends, China sea is one of my go-to Chinese restaurant. read more

So hard to find quality Chinese food. I'm from the Boston area where Chinese food is so much better and I just can't find the same quality in this area. But this is one of the better ones in this area that I've found so far. I'll go back to get my Chinese food fix until I get back North. read more

With all the positive reviews, thought I would give this place a try today. Ordered the Szechuan beef. It was the worst I've ever had. Beef had a gray look to it and the vegetables were nothing that's supposed to be in the dish. Tables were caked with ground in dirt. I got up and left in a hurry. Wanted some Chinese food that wasn't panda express, this place was near my hotel so decided to check it out. Ordered pork lo mein no vegetables and orange chicken. Both were very tasty. Orange chicken was delicious. Only had to wait about ten minutes maybe less would definitely go back. read more

This place is awesome for Chinese takeout! Everything is made fresh with quality ingredients. The employees are very friendly and the customer service is spot on! I've ordered from them a few times now, always delivery. The person taking my order is always pleasant and friendly. My order comes super quick, and the delivery person has been most friendly! Their hot and spicy shrimp is to die for! The drunken noodles are fantastic, and you can get your choice of meat with them. They have great egg rolls (not spring rolls, which I'm not a fan of). Same problem as before. The outside temperature was 82 but the air conditioning in the restaurant was off; there was a large floor fan that helped a little Ordered the lunch Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. I asked for a glass of ice water. "No water" was the response. Huh? What restaurant does not serve water on request? So, I bought a soft drink instead. The Egg Foo Young was cooked a very dark brown. The sauce was weird, as was the fried rice. The spring roll that came with the lunch was tiny. And the fork that came with it was so flimsy that it nearly broke several times. I won't be back. There's a much better Chinese restaurant half a mile away. They have a large urn with Chinese tea (free to customers), and the food is of much better quality. read more

Poor customer service. Only cares about your coin. There's plenty of restaurants within the same radius that'll treat you better.

China Sea opened almost exactly when China Chef closed just down the road. This turned out to be lucky for us, because China Sea is a definite improvement. The food is fresher, and the service is friendlier. We enjoy the walnut chicken, the broccoli chicken, the pineapple chicken curry, and the fried rangoon. All are delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The only challenge is not ordering too often because it isn't very healthy. read more

It was ok. I had the drunken noodles. They were tasty, but nothing to get really excited about. The hot & sour soup was average at best. The little fried won-tons they give you to add to the soup tasted like they ordered them in and put them in a bag. The green tea was just a dixie cup with Lipton Green bag.
