As McDonalds go, this is one of the better ones. You can never get 100% at any fast food place but…read moresome are better than others and this is one of them. Orders are usually correct (even if you have grill), although the wait can often be quite long. The restaurant is clean enough - fairly standard as you'd expect. Car parking can be a bit of a nightmare and drive thru queues can be a bit manic but they normally send someone out with the little handheld thingy to take orders from the queue. This McDs stands above most of the others with the service you get - as well as the usual smattering of students and YTS types they seem to have more 'mature' members of staff, and it makes a pleasant change as they seem to have more interest in actually serving you and getting things right. The bloke who brings your food out to the car most days is a real gem!

I called to explain the situation and I was told several times that I got what I'd ordered. Eventually they accepted the order was wrong and sent me a missing pizza which arrived around 30 minutes later. It's a shame because the pizza was nice but I won't be using this restaurant again.

Kebab has always evoked memories of drunken nights, questionable hygiene and grease but all that is…read morelikely to change if Simply Kebab have their way. It is obvious as soon as you walk in that this isn't what a kebab shop looks like. It's clean and airy with a large counter displaying a variety of salad items. The staff were a cut above as well. Unfortunately as well as upping the standards they have also upped the price with the result that I paid more for a standard kebab here, out of town than I would in the city. They serve an impressive array of kebabs here and I will certainly be treating myself again in the near future. I put the disorganized nature of the service down to the newness of the venture.

When we…read morewent through the door of this restaurant, the atmosphere, staff & most of all the owner were most inviting. Most of all the cleanliness.'s (I am very concerned about hygiene & cleanliness) I had battered mushroom starter, amazed at the taste & freshness, the fish & chips were the best I had eaten out for a long time. The quality of food definitely outdo the price. Now, I am not worried where I will dine when I am up again in Doncaster . I recommend this gem of a fish & chips restaurant to everyone looking for decent place to eat fresh food.

I also really like the vast range of salad/pickles, etc. that you can have added to your sandwich. It means you can fill up on the stuff that isn't so loaded with calories (I always have a bit of everything, which generally leaves me with a sandwich where all the bits keep falling out). I am doing WeightWatchers, and many of the low fat sandwiches are around 5 points, whcih is generally the same as a low-fat sandwich made from two pieces of bread from Boots or tesco, but you seem to get so much more for your points.

This popular Chinese restaurant and takeaway is open every day from noon onwards and offers a wide…read morerange of cut-price offers and unusual delicacies. Inside, the place is both well themed and deceptively spacious, and staff open up a false wall, leading into another room whenever things get busy, meaning that customers are highly unlikely to ever end up having to wait around to get a table. A Sunday Lunch all-you-can-eat buffet is available for £8.99 and China House even sells a small range of Thai and Japanese dishes. The menu is well-priced, the staff are friendly, the service is fast and the food is of a good standard. I'd definitely visit again.

No, where…read moreChina House comes into its own is with offshoot menus offering both Thai and, more unusually, Japanese fare. There's also a hint of - woop - Malaysian food! Add to all this a meaningful children's menu which refuses to go down the nuggets line and seven-days-a-week (and most bank holidays) opening and we're really onto something. A four-and-a-half-hour Sunday buffet rounds things off. Hopefully that's enough to get you through the door. The venue itself is fine, but the location is at best blink-and-you'll-miss-it and at worst, undermined by a shopping precinct setting. Wylde Green is fine and that Birmingham Road stretch, like nearby Boldmere, is one of the few commercial strips still bearing independent traders. It's just a shame that the precise part in which China House lies is just that bit too 'concrete' - you half expect parkour jumpers. Logging onto the website to view the menu should be enough to get you past appearances.

And it is top notch. The best thing about this place though is their jiaozi (commonly called Chinese dumplings, though more like Chinese ravioli I've always thought) and noodle bowls, a bit expensive but you can't get vegetarian ones anywhere else in Sheffield. The only downside to jabu is their opening hours, I think they only open for business after 4 pm meaning no chance of lunch here. It is also normally very busy, which to be honest is great as if this place shut it would be Sheffield's loss.
