Regarding the previous review; The Chinese Community Services centre does not have any paid workers, it is only run by volunteers. Frankie, who volunteers at the centre daily assisted the woman in question by acting only as her interpreter and even went to her house to inspect the roof all on his own time and expense. In dealing with the roofing company, she had not paid her final bill and Frankie had tried to assist her in a settlement. She initially agreed to a settlement and on the day of the final meeting, she did not show up which the roofing company had no recourse but to take her to small claims court. I don't see how this is the Centre's lack of service as the volunteer did everything possible to assist and translate for her. The Centre did not take any sides in this dispute. read more

The Chinese Community Services Centre of Victoria does not help their clients. The two volunteers my mother dealt with (Frankie and another guy) did not even listen nor look at her documents. The 2 centre workers immediately sided with the other side Square Deal Roofing Ltd in a biased fashion. The roofing company engaged in possibly fraudulent business practices while not completing their contractual obligations by falsifying liens claims with new altered contracts that were not original contract documents. The Chinese Community Centre workers then joined the fraudsters. These 2 reps of the Centre do not serve their clients, but the opposition to their clients. The 2 Chinese Community Services Centre volunteers, then joined in the biased one sided screaming and intimidation with the Square Deal Roofing Ltd people. You can look at their review too. We were not impressed by these 2 reps of the Chinese Community Services Centre and how they were biased against their own clients to help the other side.
